I was in my house playing video games and I saw a ring on my tv and I put on. The top popped open and a button was showing. I pushed it and all I could see was colors. When it stopped there was dinosaurs ever were. When I first saw then, I was terrified! They really existed I was scared. I was in a nest of a raptor. I seen one coming and I head behind it. The raptor started to lay an egg in the nest. A few days later the egg hatched. It was so cute. I got in the nest and started to touch the baby raptor. I jumped out of the nest and the raptor was following me. I thought the raptor didn’t want to leave me since it had no parents. I decided to take care of it. My next dream was to see an Ankylosaurus. I was walking in the field and I saw
an Ankylosaurus eating grass. I was wondering if it would run away from me and my raptor Bob or if it would keep eating grass. I was walking towards it and it kept eating grass. I wanted to touch it but I did not want to scare it. So I decided to sit and play with my raptor until I realized I would not hurt it. Then it started to walk towards us. The Ankylosaurus started to sniff me and my raptor. We sat still until it let me touch it. I spent the next month getting the Ankylosaurus used to me. (My other goal is to ride it through the woods.) I played with it, laid next to it, and sat with it. Then it started to eat out of my hand. Finally the day came. I got on the back of it and it felt awesome to ride an Ankylosaurus. We rode through the forest and I let the Ankylosaurus hit the trees with his tail. It was the best day ever. I decided to stay in the past with my pets raptor and Ankylosaurus. I convinced my parents to come to the past with me.
There has been a debate about what happened to the dinosaurs since they were discovered. There are many thoughts of what happened to the dinosaurs, the two main theories behind the extinction are scientific and religious. Proof for both theories do exist and debates between scientists are still going on to which one really happened. It is a mystery as much for Evolutionists as it is for Creationists about the extinction of the dinosaurs. The fossil record of dinosaurs was poorly know for a long period of time. During this time period was when the dinosaurs were thought to have gone extinct. The scientific reason for their extinction was that there was a giant asteroid that caused chain reaction and wiped out the dinosaurs. Some scientists say the dinosaur’s extinction came quickly. Evolutionists say the dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago. Creationists say that the dinosaurs weren’t able to survive the Earth after the flood. Both of the theories have supporting evidence and that is why there is an ongoing debate over what really happened to the dinosaurs. Yes, I have pestered someone before. I pestered my dad when I was younger. I pestered him for me being able to play on my ipad. I couldn't have it and I just kept on asking, and asking, and asking, until he finally said yes. I don't recommend pestering someone do get what you want. Because you could get in trouble. There was this one time where I was pestering my mom, and I got in trouble. I would recommend being nice do them and then asking them politely. Doing this, you have a better chance at getting what you want.
In August 1995 Thomas E. Williamson and his crew discovered a fossil that makes computer simulation of ancient dinosaur sounds possible. Since then, there has been increased excitement throughout the geologic community and with those infatuated with dinosaurs. Two years later on December 5th the ancient sounds of a long extinct dinosaur could be heard throughout the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. Later this excitement spilled over into the entertainment industry when Steven Spielberg came out with “Jurassic Park III” which showed this experimentation.
No one knows for certain exactly why and how the dinosaurs became extinct. Probably the most popular theory right now is the Asteroid Theory. According to this theory a large asteroid or comet collided with Earth about 65 million years ago. Scientists think that such a large collision would throw so much dust into the air that sunlight would not be able to shine and plants and animals would die.
On the way to Texas, we had to drive across the Louisiana Bridge. While we were driving across the bridge, I noticed that the bridge was standing in one huge murky muddy marsh. In the marsh were cattails. They were growing and were being used as a disguise by many of animals. I was staring at the water below us and it took me a minute but I saw an alligator in the midst of the cattails. He was long and a grayish brown. He was camouflaging himself within the cattails. It did not take long for us to pass him but I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen.
We discovered that during the time of the dinosaur’s disappearance a volcano had erupted. Being that it was huge clouds...
One theory is that the dinosaurs died in a fiery explosion. If this statement is true, the surrounding organisms would also die off. Including the bit of grass Eckles stepped on. If the author mentioned a way they died without the nature around them dying the change in history would be more believable.
Some people think of them as animals. Some people think of them as objects. Some people think of them as friends. Then there are the few who think of them as family. Horses have always been like family to humans, except sometimes closer. There are many benefits to owning or being around horses. They come in many different colors. There is a multitude of breeds, also. Additionally, they have a long history with humans. Horses have unique behaviors. Showing horses has been the past-time or even career of many people. Furthermore, caring for horses can be a handful, but is definitely rewarding. Finally, riding horses is not just a hobby or a sport, but an action of your heart. Horses are wondrous creatures that have lived with man or thousands of years.
Soon after, when I was on the verge of falling asleep, a bright flash light shone in through my window, lighting up my whole room like a light bulb. Then I heard the voices, deep raspy voices, barking at each other like a pack of animals. I couldn't understand a thing they were saying.
That is when I realized it was just a dream. Just a very bad dream.
Dr. D is a cardiothoracic surgeon. He was my hero. He may well still be, even though he is a throw-back to the days when I was more concerned about science than symbolism.
The dream was about a little dog. The dog was walking on my chest, while
Today i will be writing a personal narrative about an incident that changed my life. I will be talking about the time I flew over 3,000 miles to Alaska. Around the beginning of last summer my grandparents told me I was going to be going to Alaska on a cruise. In early June of last year was probably one of scariest moments of my life! I flew on a plane for the first time. The day of the flight was pretty scary; between being in an airport and going through security to actually flying on a plane! Once we got in the air I was able to relax and actually enjoy the flight. Being in the clouds and being able to look out over the earth was amazing. i'm glad i could have the experience of being on a plane with my family. We flew into Seattle which was fun because we went shopping and went to a really nice restaurant and then boarded a cruise ship that would take us through Alaska.
Melanie woke up with nothing other than research on her mind. She knew that her last name was Easton and so was her mother's. What she didn't know was if that was her mother’s married name, or for that matter, if her mother had ever been married.
Four weeks ago, it was Thanksgiving, almost all of my family and some of my friends were there. We had just had a good meal and some were ready to leave. Me and my girlfriend were getting ready to go, and as we said goodbye to our families, the strangest thing happened. The power in the house went out and the weather was great, so that couldn't have caused it.
