Personal Narrative: My Personal Identity

A person's identity is crucial in the decision-making process and behavior. The individual's identity depends on many aspects of their life and environment where they were raised. Many people's sports, clubs, or hobbies are what forms their identity. Personally, my early life and family dynamic have molded my identity mainly but, one aspect of someone's life cannot be the only contributing factor. Other contributing factors to my personal identity are having to move my junior year of high school, living with not only my grandparents but my aunt and uncle at the same time, and my faith.
Even though I cannot remember the exact moment my mother departed from my life, it left a piece of me unable to trust anyone, eventually separation anxiety formed from that. I remember being in kindergarten and my grandmother came to eat lunch with me, when she went to leave I just started bawling and no one knew why. I was afraid that if she left then that I wouldn't see her again. I grew up mainly staying with my grandparents but, my aunt and uncle were and always have been there for me, especially now that my grandfather's health has declined tremendously. My junior year of high school, beginning of second semester my family collectively decided that the best option for a successful end of highschool that moving to live with my aunt and uncle was the best decision for me. Making the move was difficult, leaving many of the friends I had been close to since kindergarten and starting at a new school right before my senior year.
