Football is easily my number one passion that I still participate in today. I have been playing football since I found out their was a team in second grade and have never stopped. Ever since the first day of practice I knew I had found something that I truly love and enjoy. Growing up in a family where my dad played college football and my older brother played, I was always around the sport. My Saturdays to this day consist of either playing football or sitting down and watching college football. It is a hobby that has developed into a strong passion for myself. I cannot imagine a day where football will not be a part of my life. Even after my career is over I hope to be involved with the game either through coaching or just even watching
Football has been a big part of my life ever since I was a little kid. I almost always tried to play football when I could with my brothers if they weren’t busy messing around. During recess in grade school my class would try to start a football game and I would be the first in to be picked on a team. My first time being on a “football team” was in little league my third grade year and I’ve never missed a year yet now that I am a senior in highschool and I’m hoping to continue it in college. Football made the person who I am today, it changed me in many ways and affected how I am as a person.
Before birth football seemed like it would be a factor in my life. My uncles and cousins were key players of their high school football teams. Even though they were a factor I developed a love for the game myself. The drive from my family made me want to go harder.
Unfortunately though football had to come to an end. Having to hang my jersey and give up football before high school. Believe me it was neither my choice nor my second it was my parents’ design. My parents’ knew at the time that I love playing football, but they did not want me to get a concussion this I did not fully understand. Because not long after, sophomore year in high school I got my first concussion by played two-hand touch football. How it happened it was a weight lifting class and the class would play football and eventually two-hand touch exculpated to tackling.
Do you have that certain something that has affected your life for better? Football is that thing for me. I have played it as long as I could walk. I still remember the time when I was very little and my dad would take me to the front yard and we would play catch and talk about football for hours. I have enjoyed football in three big parts of life: Pee Wee, Junior High, and High school.
In Third Grade, I was the Quarterback for my pee wee football team. I played football until 7th grade, but didn’t play my Eighth grade year. I played again in Ninth grade, and I still love and play football today. I was the Quarterback for Dunwoody’s JV team, and plan to potentially play Varsity next year. This holds the most continuity in my life.
Football was always something special to me and always will be, I started playing football when I was five years old for Little Devils Football. It all began after wrestling practice one day where we got to dress up in football pads and hit each other for fun. That day I fell in love with the sport and realized how fun it would be to play it throughout my life and how I would enjoy it. I Started playing the next season I could, I met some new friends and became best friends with my dear friend Mikey Schrand. Me and Mikey rode to practice together, games together and even hanged out together. I started the season playing middle linebacker and fullback. I loved playing and loved the positions i played. Times were with our coach being a former arena football player. I went to practice every day at seven p.m. and stayed till nine p.m. and man that coach made us run like no other coach, we ran more than a track team. I remember some practices were we would have to go to the notorious hill where it was basically straight up and down and we would do bear crawls up and down the hill for two ...
Soccer is more than a game to me; it's a fundamental part of my identity. Ever since I was a little girl, playing soccer has been where I felt most alive and free. In a world filled with so many uncertainties, I can always count on soccer to be there for me. It was my outlet, a way to get away from the stress of the world. Every time I stepped out on the field, it was as if the world around me faded and the only thing that mattered was the game in front of me.
To me, football is by far the best sport in America and ever. Some people might argue about that but I don’t care it’s my opinion. I love the competitiveness of the game. Once you start playing it you wouldn’t want to stop. I’ve played since I was 4 years old for Juniata. I’ve played for 13 years which is a long time playing football. Football is very fun to me and I enjoy it a lot. Once you put them pads on you feel unstoppable, like nothing can get in your way no matter what. My family is a football family which means they all like football and even played it so I basically was born to play. It can be challenging though once you get in high school and college. You got to work hard on and off the field, have to workout a lot to stay in shape
Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences. (150 words) I discovered my passion for Soccer when I first kicked the ball aged four. The memory of the first contact of my foot with a spherical object in the children’s play area, is unforgettable. From then till now has been an exciting journey.
The passion for soccer I had never thought about how much impact soccer has had on my life until I started working on this assignment when I had to answer the question “What is my passion?” The answer came to me before I'd even finished asking myself the question; soccer. The next question I instinctively asked myself after that was “Why?” Again, the obvious answer came to my mind; simply because I love it. I thought there was no need to elaborate more on that.
Football is and always has been more than just a game to me. I have learned so many life lessons from this game and have formed bonds with many of my teammates that will last a lifetime. The lessons that I picked up from playing football are lessons that I’m sure I would not have had the privilege of learning had I never played. The most important lesson that I have learned is that when things aren't going your way, you cannot allow yourself to give up. There are countless times throughout the course of a football game when you get knocked down and when everything inside of you is telling you to stay down.
My Views Ever since I can remember, I’ve been attracked to the screaming bleachers and the Friday night lights. Finally after several years I was able to play this sport I’ve been drawn to since a young age. After my first football game, I realized that there is a lot more to football than cheering bleachers and bright lights One question I am asked when the topic is brought up is, “why do you play football?”. One reason I play football is because it is a great way to pass the time.
Many people love watching and participating in sporting events. Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd U.S. president once said, "Sports is the very fiber for what we all stand for. It keeps our spirit alive." No matter if watching or playing, football is one of America's most popular sports. Many people attend high school, college, and professional football every year. You can relate many aspects of football and sports to life. . I think football is the best sport I have ever played or watched.
Playing in the NFL was significant to me because I loved to play football ever since I was seven years old and always played that sport and I will never change that sport. The only reason why I love football is because I want to take care of my mom and dad just like they took care of me that’s why I set this goal for myself and try to fulfill my dream. Achieving this goal/dream was essential, and I was able to accomplish it through was doing my best to play at the sport and never ever give up always keep trying my best to successfully achieve my goal. I think I achieved my goal because I’m almost there I made it through little league and high school and I’m not yet there to college
A lot of people might wonder why I, as a 17 year old girl, likes football so much. "You should be into hair and makeup, and doing your nails," they say. But no matter how much they would try to persuade me to do girly things, I was always a bit of a tom boy, therefore I loved to watch and play football. Some could say that part of it is because I have four older brothers, but to me I was born loving football. Here is why I love football so much.
