I have a passion for helping others. If somebody asks for help either in the classroom or just for general advice, I always take time out of my day to help them even if I am extremely busy. The fact that I can be of assistance to others makes me feel good on the inside. Seeing others succeed is important to me. I always help my friend with his math homework because math is not his strongest subject. Helping him work his way through the problems and helping him understand the concepts allows him to be more successful in math class. Knowing that he is becoming better at math brings me a sense of joy. Aiding others has created a stronger bond between that individual and myself. I come from an uneducated background so I know what it is like to
My experiences with tutoring others has taught me that it satisfies me to help others understand and learn. As you teach others you learn about the different ways you handle situations and solve issues as well. I’ve always been the person that my classmates come up to for help, but it wasn’t till grade 10 until I officially started tutoring math, mainly Pre-Calculus 12. In grade 11, I continued tutoring, but this time I focused on a single individual, and that brought up challenges of creating a suitable relationship, that becomes the foundation for effective learning. This year, I took on a challenge, my teacher asked me to be a mentor towards a student with learning disabilities who was struggling with school. I
I have been able to help several friends and neighbors do better in math classes and on the ACT. Unexpectedly, I was also able to help one of my assistant baseball coaches who was studying at a local college to be a teacher. He asked for my help to pass a math test required for his teaching license because of my recent success in standardized test and math competitions. I was glad to oblige and am proud to say he is now a teacher at my school. I think being able to tutor these people really allows me to help the community by allowing them to succeed in areas that they struggle, allowing for future
I am dedicated to helping out our community and school, because it warms my heart and soul. Seneca said in about 40 to 60 A.D. that you should “be silent as to services you have rendered, but speak of favors you have received.” In other words you should not boast about the numerous projects you have accomplished and how much physical work you executed, but rather pride yourself on how you helped people in community and school, and how you have affected their lives with positive means. I feel life is joyous and it should be the feeling everyone illustrates, and this is exactly what keeps me functioning in the stressful world today. I find comfort in helping others to make their lives a little more like heaven and this comfort motivates me to perform copious service projects to the best of my capability whenever I find the time. Time is fair to the rich, the poor, and to every race, because time is equal and gives everyone 24 hours daily to accomplish their required tasks. Because time is so valuable and I am occupied by difficult advanced placement and honor classes and juggle school, clubs, sports, and friends, I joined Key Club, a high school division of the adult service club, Kiwanis. Key Club opened new doors to make every extra minute count towards helping others.
There are countless people who aspire to help people in their lives. However, if you think about it, nearly every career helps others in some way, shape, or form. Teachers, scientists, policemen and various other careers aid people in different ways. I, like many others, have always known that I’ve wanted to help people. Yet, I also want to do more than that. I want to help others, but also save others- emotionally or physically, mentor others, inspire others, and be there for others during their most vulnerable times. This is who I am- and I have always been this person. In first grade, I ran a lemonade stand at my school for the Make-A-Wish Foundation; I got my third grade class to raise money for starving children; and I put up with bullying throughout middle school because I befriended a girl who had trouble making friends on her own. The quality of pure selflessness and care for others that I have always possessed would allow me to do something great with my life- it just took me some time to figure out what.
The joys of helping someone can lead some to a career in the police force or a job as a firefighter. Or the love of learning about medicine and or the
My goal is to teach these children that they can have self-esteem, skills to excel in school and have the confidence they need to succeed in life. Some students do not learn the same way as their peers. We have to modify and try to explain things to them that they can understand and comprehend. Since I have been a teacher's aide these few years, I have come to understand why some children struggle. I am determined to make sure that anytime I got to work with students that I would be there for them and let them know that I care
I find myself extremely passionate in Community Service, I have volunteered at Emmanuel Apostolic Church during Vacation Bible School for the past two summers, preparing food, coming up with creative ideas to keep children occupied, and making sure children are safe. During this time my leadership and conversational skills have strengthened. In addition to that, I have also volunteered there on numerous occasions to feed the homeless. In high school, I also volunteered at an Elderly home on bingo night to interact with the elderly, gave a listening ear, it was extremely rewarding to see them smile, laugh, and interact with me as if they had known me for a while; that showed me how much they appreciate having company. I take huge delight in
One of my strongest qualities is having empathy for others. People open up to me very easily, including those who don’t let others get emotionally close to them. My passion to help others has evolved to become an integral part of the educated, diversified and motivated woman that I am today. I have always thought my purpose in life is to uplift and take care of others. I thrive on the opportunity to solve complicated
I love to be around other people. I love to help people out, whether it’s a family member, friend, neighbor, classmate, or teacher. I am there to help if a classmate needs help studying, and if a friend needs advice about anything. I love to talk to people and help them solve their problems. One of my dream jobs is to become a psychiatrist.
I feel helpful because I assist him in what he cannot do on his own. I think that that is why I am at this school this year at this exact time. The thing that makes it so much easier to do is that he shows that he is appreciative of us helping him. I have been blessed tremendously by this experience. They have become very excellent friends and I am really going to miss them. I feel like I did something important. They are really good
I am compelled to help others in need. Mentally, I know it is not feasible to help everyone, but that does not stop me from trying. In addition, when my clients are in pain, I am also hurt because I have emotionally committed myself to each one of them. I must learn to establish borders to emotionally separate myself from my clients and their problems. I can be compassionate and empathize, but when my workday ends, it ends, and my personal life begins.
I help people in school if there struggling because I never like to see my fellow classmates to be streast. First, helping classmates puts less stress on the teacher. This lets the class run smooth and consistent throughout the day. Also, when a classmate has dropped there stuff on the ground I stop and help pick up the classmate has dropped. This makes the hallways less hetek because stuff is not flying all over the place and it keeps people from getting hurt. Lastly, I always ask the teacher if they need any help if I finish early instead of sitting around and doing nothing. This gives me something productive to do after finishing something instead of just sitting around doing nothing. That is only one reason why I think I should be 7th grade boy student of the year.
There have been tons of things that I have learned and been taught in my life, by a number of people such as family, teachers, or even friends on occasion. The things they taught me vary from math and other related subjects to just some truly simple yet meaningful life lessons. However, there is nothing quite as unique, quite as special as a person teaching themselves a life lesson. It really is an amazing accomplishment for a person to teach themselves something. It is not quite as simple as another person teaching them something because it is not just the transferring of information from one person to another. The person instead has to start from scratch and process the information they have in their mind in order to come up with a new thought
I have a very fulfilling feeling about what I have been able to accomplish in my life so far. I want the absolute best for myself and those close to me. I often go above and beyond to help those around me succeed and be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.
Getting children to work together on projects which require problem solving is a great way for them to interact with each other and learn mathematical concepts on the way. It will also help them to boost their communication skills. Teachers can also facilitate learning by scaffolding the children’s learning and offering guidance when needed. Getting children to talk about what they are doing and what their plans are actually helps them to learn. Through their projects, children will learn to describe the mathematical concepts that they present using different materials. For example, drawing a house for art class, they learn the names of the different kinds of shapes that make up a
