Sandra’s long awaited wedding day arrived. On that very day, I got to the reception hall quite early and this was for me to get a good view of everything happening and not miss out in any action of the day. Sitting in the reception hall , at a very good position viewing snaps of different people, forty five minutes later, the bride and groom with their band wagon arrive after which different people start trooping into the hall smiling and giggling. Suddenly this fine tall man walks inn briskly, from his looks you could tell that he was one of the grooms men. With a look of seriousness on my face I glanced up at him. He left as quickly as he came just to return again. Got engrossed with my phone until my friend called me and told me …show more content…
While eating I got a glimpse of him talking with the maid of honor and I thought to myself finally he talked with somebody that’s a female. Wedding goes on , bride dances with her father, all other formalities take place and my friend taps me like an hour later that she’s about to leave, I stand up walk her to get a cab and I bid her goodbye. Then I come back to my seat looking for my “man of the wedding” and his whereabouts are unknown, I start fiddling with my phone again.
Twenty minutes later, I sight my aunt’s friend who happens to be an aunt to the bride, I leave my seat and go to talk with her, while talking with her, I notice my cousin talking with fine specimen of protoplasm and I quietly excused myself from the discussion with the lady and I say to my cousin this guy is fine and she rushes to tell the guy , me feeling a little bit embarrassed I muster courage and talk with this “my man of the moment” and he collects my phone number saying he would call later and I smile and go back to my conversation with my
About thirty years ago there was a young girl in love with her boyfriend. One day, he convinced her to take their relationship to the next level, telling her how deeply he cared. A couple weeks later, she found out that she had become pregnant, and decided it was best to hide it from him. They kept in close contact over the next few months, and he told her that they would be together forever. When her father realized that she was having a baby without marriage, he made her leave the house until she came back with a husband. When the baby girl was born, she decided to tell the boyfriend about the child, by bringing her to his house. He lived on a small farm right outside town and you had to pass over a small river on a bridge to get back to his house. As she opened the door, she walked in on him with another girl. Filled with anger, (pause) she gets in her car and speeds off. Now she could not return home unmarried and had lost her only love because of this one child. As she looked over at the baby, she is only reminded of her boyfriend and the image of him with the other girl. (tone increases) Finally, she reached the bridge, then slammed on the breaks. She got out and in a moment of rage threw the baby over the bridge to rid her of the baby girl’s troubles. Later that night, the police were tipped off about a murder at the bridge and came to find the girl hanging from the bridge.
It was close upon four before the door opened, and a drunken-looking groom, ill-kempt and side-whiskered with an inflamed face and disreputable clothes, walked into the room. Accustomed as I was to my friend’s amazing powers in the use of disguises, I had to look th...
There I am lying, I am awoken by a bright shimmering, yet quite bothering light, I slide to my right to find my angelic husband Demetrious, he was breathing softly and faintly, I wrap my arm around him onto his buff body, and his eyes stare at me gracefully, I come to acceptance and find myself thinking how this happened, from hopeless back then, to happiest I could be, and all because of one man, he made me feel gloomy like when we first met, his eyes would affectionately stare deep into His bright personality brightened up my day, that one special day, the most beautiful day of the day, it was a sunny, warm yet quite balanced day, everything was going normally, then carelessly out the corner he came, Demetrious, and one problem was that he liked my hearty, hysterical good friend Hermia. Hermia had a generous and gentle personality, she had beautiful eyes and I was very fondly jealous of her, she got all the cute, boys that I always admired, yet one day things unexpectedly turned the other way around. The dainty Demetrious rushed to me and told me he was madly in love with me, at the time I felt dismayed and quite surprisingly I was offended. Why would he play a quirk like this on me, after I deeply adore him with all delight? That night I thought about him and his hankering joke.
I met the groom over ten years ago, and I often wonder what it would be like if I didn't have him as a friend. Sometimes the smile lasts for days.
Now I was a bit unsure about the duties of a best man, although I told Brian very early on that there was no way I was going to get off with a bridesmaid – I say that with no offence intended to Claire and Nicola who I’m sure you’ll all agree look lovely, and have done a great job today. So to find out what was expected of me, I turned to the internet and managed to find some really interesting stuff… but then remembered what I had gone onto it for in the first place, and set about plagiarising other people’s speeches from all the wedding sites I could find. So I accept no responsibility if this end result is rubbish. I know many of you will have been to a few weddings in your time, so can I suggest that you entertain yourselves quietly by playing wedding bingo – every time you hear a witty comment in my speech that you have already heard at another wedding, give yourself a point and the first one to five wins a piece of wedding cake.
“I once attended a wedding and met a young fellow sort of like you,” where was he going with this, “he had a good life but died young, I could see that something deep inside of him was bothering him.” I told him “No, my love's too strong for Fatima and I must pursue my wedding.” Then I told him“Thank you for that advice but please, don't speak of this again, he said “Ok, congratulations on the marriage, I wish the best of luck to you.” I felt something in my pocket, no it couldn't be, it was my omens. I walked outside and it was almost time for the marriage ceremony, I felt so happy that situation was dealt with and I wanted to see my wife in her beautiful dress more than I wanted a another glass of water.
Second, the groom visits the bride’s parents at their house to talk with her parents about the marriage. The parents question the groom to see if he actually loves their daughter. The groom clarifies to the bride’s parents he meet their daughter and fell in love with her. The groom also says he knows their daughter like a recipe. In the end of the visit, the parents tell him to come back in a week.
Don’t Comment on the Many Years it took for the Bride to Find a Sucker (Husband)
asks of her, she continues with her life and at the end of the day ends up talking to him. It shows
I was called into admin with three managers sitting around. My department just passed the district walk-through a week before, the department was doing great, so I was curious to see what this meeting was about. My boss and bosses boss where sitting down, a lady from human resources was phone conferencing in. Defining moments in my life have helped shape my mindset. More so, it has allowed me to venture in a way to live my life with pure happiness and fulfillment. My defining moment was being let go of my job. I was completely devastated and felt like I was kicked sideways.
Also, I'd like to say that the bride looks absolutely stunning today, as for the groom he just looks stunned. I am on a strict time limit from the bride, so the more you laugh at my jokes, the quicker my speech will be.
I thought the wedding was a wonderful time. I had the chance to see and spend time with my cousins, and all my family members that live out of town. My thought process was for an event that was so big there must be many people, to witness the significance. However, 8 years later I had a very different understanding of marriage at my other Aunt’s wedding. I was now 13 and had quite a few years to figure out how marriage works in our day and age. I had seen three
Finally after what seemed like years, I walked out to greet my new father-in-law and my new wife. I shook his hands as he gave away his youngest daughter to start our own family, and then I reached out for the arm of my bride. Together we walked the rest of the way down the aisle and stood in front of the pastor’s
I soon found myself waiting in line behind a frail elderly man with a huge smile on his face; he stood next to a young girl, she looked equally happy. The man wore a red velvet jacket and the girl wore a shimmering red dress with spaghetti straps. It was a dress that would...
Many little girls dream of their big fairytale wedding with a prince charming of their own. We all have watched and grown up with the classic Disney movies that not only entertain children, but are influenced by what we see. I am guilty of wanting the fairytale wedding, big puffy gown, sparkles, handsome husband and our happily ever after. But what you don’t see is how much time and energy is put into creating your own fairytale wedding. After many months of planning and preparation for this day I was excited, nervous and anxious to carry on with the day that symbolized a new beginning with the love of my life. I was about to make a lifelong commitment to my one true love. Nothing I’ve done has taken so much preparation
