NOT SO SECRET OF MY SECRET DIET PLAN
I decided put myself on diet when I started the school. The reason that i put myself on diet was very simple. I couldn’t fit into my skinny jeans that was worn for at least two years. When I decided to start a diet, I was thinking what is the best kind of diet for me for now. Atkins? Watch Doctor Oz and do whatever he says? Almost everyone already knows the basic rules of diet. Such as cut back on sugars and carbs; eat protein, good fat and Vegetables; do workout at least 4 times a week etc… However, knowing the rule doesn’t mean I can stick to it. For me, most of foods I like are on DO NOT EAT list, but how can you live without foods that make you happy? The very first step to success to lose weight was

So, I do use a diet app to keep the record of what I eat, and my weight every single day. The app keep the record for me and make a line chart. You can see how your weight move and how much calories you had. It can keep the motivation if I see how my weight is going down. And, after 2 months, I see the pattern of how I lose my weight. For me, my body is very honest. I gain weight when I eat too much; I lose weight if not. But, during the period, even I eat too much, I don’t gain as much weight as I do when I’m not having period. For me, that’s the time to eat junk food. So, recording can help you to know how your diet should be, and how to cheat. In the app, I can record what exactly what I ate, not only calories. So, you can visually see what type of food you had on the day. When I allow myself to have a bubble tea, I usual have very light and healthy breakfast to keep the total calories for the day low, and I start with a big bowl of vegetable soup at beginning of dinner, then protein. This way, like it or not, I have not much space in my stomach for my favorite, white …show more content…
For this reason, I have diet friends one in Edmonton, and one in Calgary. They both have same age kids as mine, we are not exact, but close ages, and very importantly, they are very close friends. We use Facebook messenger almost every day to talk about what work out we did, and what we had for meals. I find it’s better to have close friends, because we can talk very openly. According to a recent study published in the journal Obesity, social influence of team-based weight loss competitions can help you lose up to 20 percent more weight than you would if you did it
My fitness pal has been successfully in providing feedback for users to keep track of their calorie intake and fitness level. The app is very beneficial in behavior change for the user to record his or her food intake consumed and achieve weight loss. The app is definitely recommended for users who prefer to consume healthy foods and do exercise regularly to enhance a healthy lifestyle. A few years ago, my friend suffers from the cardiovascular disease and has tried several diets to help lose weight, but did not achieve a better outcome. She wanted to consult a nutritionist who can give tips on meal planning and exercising. She told her nutritionist that is ready to take 30-day workout challenge. During the action phase, she started participating in an exercise program while using the app. She does regularly exercise at least 3-4 times a week and keep track to see how many calories burned. After doing a 30-day workout, my friend (user) has lost ten pounds, which made her feel confident and energized. The app has motivated her to make smart healthy foods and continue fitness journey
Have you ever thought about how many foods you will actually eat? Well, I definitely have, and that list isn't very long. Ever since I can remember, I've been a very picky eater. I go through struggles quite often regarding my food choices, I have been harassed for not eating certain foods, and.... These have all become a part of my identity.
A healthy diet plan is comprised of all the nutrients which are beneficial to your body. Proper nutrition is important in maintaining a long and healthy life. Most Americans are rushed due to their busy work schedules, and do not take the time to plan their diets properly. Like me, most Americans are unaware of the importance of eating a healthy diet and consume too many foods without the proper nutrients. Throughout my life I have been fortunate. I have not had any major health problems, and have been able to consume most foods without having to worry about gaining weight. These last two years, however, I started to gain weight and have become concerned with my diet. Changing my poor eating habits has been difficult for me, however, having this assignment has taught me that it is not as difficult as I previously imagined.
One health-related topic that receives considerable attention concerns eating habits and the development of obesity. I would plan my meals out for the day and place them in the system and see what my outcome would be before I cook or prepare them from me and my son. I also tied to bake a lot of my foods and not fry them. I eliminated a lot of salts and sodium from my diet as will. The food tracker counts everything! I made to sure not to substitute to many to snacks to replace my craving of bread. Me and my son came up with fun things to eat like the old school peanut butter and celery with raisins for snacks. On the third day we actually ate nothing but veggies for dinner like asparagus, corn, and sliced Irish potatoes. The meal was very different but for my son to like it I was shocked. I even
Diet is possibly one of the hardest things for people, including myself, to control. Every corner you turn while driving down the street has a different fast food restaurant to tempt you. Even if you avoid the temptation and make it to the store, then every corner you turn offers a new food that is filled with sodium and unnatural materials. My current diet is pretty much opposite of most recommendations. The few things that I normally would fall in line with, in terms of a healthy diet, are eating lean meats, poultry, and eggs along with low-fat/fat-free milk products. I lack many fruits, vegetables, and low sodium foods in my diet. Ellis (p. 322) states, “How you eat can matter more than what you eat. If you want to eat less, then eat slowly. Savor each bite. Stop when you’re satisfied instead of when you feel full.” These are strong words that stand out to me because every day it seems like I eat more than I should and I eat it fast. With that being said, my action plan will be to incorporate the beneficial items I am ...
The 24-hour food diary that I kept was for Tuesday, September 27, 2016. This was a day that I did not work. For breakfast at 7:49 AM, at home, I had dark roast coffee (12 fl oz.), with half and half (1tbsp) and no calorie sweetener (1 packet) as well as with oatmeal (½ cup dry), which I made with water (1 cup). Once ready, I added brown sugar (1tsp) and raisins (¼ cup) to my oatmeal. This is my usual breakfast, whether I have work or not. I like to eat oatmeal in the morning because it is simple to prepare, it fills me up and keeps me feeling full throughout the morning. As for the coffee, I love the taste of coffee and it does a good job at giving me an extra boost of energy which I need in the morning. At 11:28 AM, at home, I had a smoothie,
Eating is important to survival of humans. Humans need to consume food on a daily bases to intake protein, sodium, vitamins, etc. Over the years since the 20th century the rate of obesity has grown and is still growing, it is a problem in the US. Many people like me overeat and eat the wrong stuff and don’t workout to burn all those calories. The amount I eat is what I hate about myself so much because all that I eat goes in my body and stores the food as fat which grows on my body and I don’t feel or look good. This is why I chose to change this part of my lifestyle, I need to change myself for the better.
Being aware of what you put into your body is the main way to which someone stays healthy. I will be discussing my carbohydrate, lipids and proteins as well as comparing them to the guidelines and discussing what I’ve learned about my own personal diet and physical activity and how I can change my diet with behavior modifying strategies which could reduce my risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes.
They key to eating healthy is to love what you eat. Don’t force yourself to eat foods you hate.

While I believe that foods of this nature are acceptable to eat once in a while, one 's diet should not consist of these foods on a regular basis due to obvious health risks as mentioned earlier.
While I was tracking my eating for these three days, I began to learn about the benefits of the food that I am eating and the nourishment that they provide for my body. I had never realized how big of a role that the food that I eat plays in my everyday life. Eating has never been something that I really think about it is just something that I do. After I looking at the data of what I eat on Choose My Plate, I realized that my eating habits are far from balanced and that I needed to work on bringing my eating habits to a better balance. While there are a lot of things that I have been doing right, there are also many things that I can work on.
