How am I going to start with this? Hmm... Let see, mostly people are different because for their unique/lousy habits. We all want change for just grief sake! (especially in past.), we need to change of how we live in a neighborhood. The neighborhood need something really exciting to amuse people. that's is not all that they need, they need to spice it up (Maybe if I wasn’t that tired then I would be getting this done by now.)
Probably my first idea, is to make all the houses from around the neighborhood reinforceable because I know all of you are going to say, “Making all the houses reinforceable is a lots of money and why is there a point to doing it?” because, you simpletons, knowing that we have natural disasters every year and watching some of

our homes getting turned down into giant bits of scraps. That’s not any cases, whether the community are living in the Northern, Southern, Eastern, or Western regions, it will matter of to what happen.
I’m thinking the house are going to be made out of titanium because as you know “One the most strongest metal out there,” so that way, it’s architectural structures will stay in one piece.
Second in mind, to make every houses around the neighborhood soundproof. The reason of this is because, people likes peace and quiet, right? And then the next door will be making very loud noises that you they can hear it a couple kilometer away. All of the entire area will be soundproofing ( if you have a backyard or you just live in a small are like a apartment. ) so the neighbor would have a relaxing day and focus on other things.
And lastly but not least, to make the houses of all around the neighbor first level, and why I wanted all the houses first ground? Because it’s a very sataring thing to go up the stairs and then go down it, or some people who lives in a very high stories more just like an apartment. I totally think one story house is better than two or more stories, That way it could save time to come across to one room to another than go to another room from a different
stories. So what do we learn today? We learn that we can imagize/decides which we can make our neighborhood a better place to live. Even if it won’t actually going to happen they are surely more going to read the essay that we provided and one day, a possibility will wait onto our hands.
“Various animals build shelters but only humans built homes. (Pg. 1)” The word home evokes so many emotions and mental image of past and future. At the end of the day there is no greater comfort then going home. Yet in our daily hustle and bustle and hectic schedule we seldom take time to appreciate the most age old technology that keep us safe and provide comfort. From the basic shelter and cave dwelling of the earliest humans to the modern concrete jungle of the present, humans have move past the simple shelter. Technology has allowed us to build modern homes in various shapes and sizes but this technology follows thousands of years of footstep. The author did not just catalog different structures and domicile of human history but told a story of what these structure means to us. Moore starts off on a dig site searching for archaic structures. Moore explains how humans just don’t build shelter like most animals, human homes signifies social status, comfort, shelter and creativity. Moore uses the famous multimillion dollar house of Aaron Spelling in Hollywood as an example of how extravagant our humble dwelling can be. Human homes are different shapes and sizes and often build with different material and standard based on geographical location. I believe A Prehistory of Homes is a book about the history of technology because it is written about one of the most essential invention of human evolution. Human went from caves to build our own shelter. It allowed us to be mobile and become a foraging creature. The author addresses the most commonly shared interest and provides knowledge, history and relation to past and future of our homes.
... them enough to care how they live. Once that was done you could take the care they discovered for those people and use it to better their homes. And the city would well be on it’s way to improvement.

To change them, the communities could use more education on social issues in the schools and communities to help the people learn to live healthier lifestyles, to get the word out that violence and disruptance are not all right, and to help the people obtain some community unity.
Through the physical structure appearance of the neighborhood, there is a brick wall surrounding the neighborhood with only the front entrance to enter and leave the neighborhood. This seclude the area from the general public making it almost hidden except the front entrance. Mobile homes set tightly side by side one another in rows across the neighborhood. Homeowners are able to surveillance the front area of their homes to see any interaction happening. Another factor that does indicate the neighborhood to be safe is the public interaction around an area of the neighborhood which includes, a small playground with a basketball court, outdoor pool, a banquet room, and the manager’s office. The playground is an area where children play and interact with another. There are times when children are playing without any adult supervision, this suggests that parents believe it is safe enough to leave children alone at the playground. Also, it is near the manager’s office which monitors the neighborhood. Fortunately, my home is right in front of this area, so I am able to see any interaction going on by just looking through my window. As far as social control, the manager does regularly check the neighborhood to ensure that everything is going by smoothly. If there is any problem what so ever, then the manager sends out papers to inform the homeowners about any issue or new information. The neighborhood is relatively quiet with the

It is not appropriate environment to rebuild the healthy society because the neighborhood level of characteristics affect the individual who lives in. A very good place to start learning with people from your neighbors who are always belong to your daily life such as co-worker, classmates, or boss, who are not living in street or building. They are also your neighbor too and we do not really know everyone who they are specifically and they are also willing to share the experience with other. They are more secure than your neighbor because you can not only easy to access the personal information, but also you can trust someone who is able to communicate in your daily life than who is living nearby your house. Consequently, I disagree with Peter’s ideas which examples and explanation is not proper to making a good social community with neighbor. The neighbor is matter because it is not good environment to trust our neighbor today and may cause many negative impacts with our live or both of us such as emergency situation and social communication, is not we did not try to know the

... middle of paper ... ... What can we do to be prepared for future natural disasters? The federal government began increasing the height and strength of the levees shortly after Katrina, and millions of dollars have been spent on coastal restoration programs.
It was me and my friend in my car. We had drove over to St Louis, Missouri during the summer. We were 9 hours away when we had decided it was time to drive back home to Des Moines.
To sum up, although the development of apartment buildings comes with some unsatisfactory, it still could be treat as a good solution to the high-density urban living and one of the greatest technology achievements in last century.
...ht the food back to feed our own people. We had to begin our own fundraisers, and contact the media to get our stories out there. The community came together. We were all working on each others homes, helping one another clean up, and taking care of each other’s pets. No one else was helping us; we had to help each other. We couldn’t be the victims, we had to become heroes and come out of this disaster together. From this point on the neighborhood became a community. Groups were formed to unite the neighborhood. It was all donations from the people of the community, each who had lost something, we wanted to help others who lost more. Although I still feel like an outsider in the community as a whole, I know that if anything, god forbid were to happen like this again, or even to just my family or I, I know that the community would be there to support us.
Community Fund Raisers- have the community come together to raise money to help residents and small businesses to help secure their properties better. This will help prevent break-ins and robberies.
The two neighborhoods that I chose to use for this assignment are vastly different. The main reason is because they are on opposite sides of the country. The first neighborhood that I visited is the one that I grew up in. This neighborhood is in Connecticut, on the East Coast, all the way across the country from the neighborhood that I currently live in here in West Hollywood. Most of my family lives in Connecticut and Massachusetts and I’m the only one who lives on the West Coast. A big difference is that the neighborhood in Connecticut has houses that are more spaced out, have larger lawns, and very many more trees. There are very few apartments there, unlike where I live now where my entire street is almost all apartment buildings.
