Personal Narrative: Lessons Learned

Lessons are learned throughout our entire life. Everyone has in there life at some point learned a lesson. There have been many times in my life in which I learned a lesson. Whether the lesson learned was in correspondence to something negative or positive there is always a lesson to be learned. When I was in the third grade there was this girl named Taylor Braxton. I did not know who she was nor did I ever see her. I was always being compared to her. If I were to miss a single question they would talk about how she would not have missed that question. Hearing that every time I would get a question wrong that would discourage me. I remember talking to my mom about what happened. She would always tell me that there is someone out there in life that will be better than you at something but to not get discourage. This was a lesson that I kept with me throughout my entire life. I used what I learned in third grade more and more as I got older. If I never learned that lesson at a young age, I would not be where I am at today. …show more content…

This was a critical part in my life in which I learned the most valuable lesson. This lesson everyone in life learns at some point. I learned to never give up. When I was in the 10th grade I had a grade point average of under a 3.0. I knew I was in danger of not being able to go to the college that I have dreamt of going to since I was an adolescent. The college I wanted to attend was one of the top colleges in Virginia. I knew I would not be able to go to some of the best colleges Virginia has to offer if I could not improve my GPA.
