Holding onto my black duffel bag, I made my way away from the crowd of people waiting to claim their baggage. It was extra busy as people traveled from all parts of the world to vacation in Vegas for Spring Break, myself included. I hobbled over to my mother who was sitting in a quiet, empty row of seats in-between two baggage claim areas. My duffel bag slipped off of my left shoulder, hitting the seat with a soft thud. It was time. Time to finally restore my eyesight. I had been wearing my old glasses with a weak prescription and had my hair in braided pigtails for the duration of the flight from Chicago to Las Vegas. Those four hours on the plane were rough on me. It was necessary to refresh myself. With the intent to put my contacts on, I left my mother checking her e-mails on her phone while I walked to my right towards the women’s restroom. I had spotted it on my way to the baggage claim. Walking towards the entrance of the restroom, I looked carefully to see if there were any signs of a line forming. Nothing was worse than …show more content…
There were stalls on both sides of me, about seven on each side if I recall correctly. I headed into the second stall on my right from the entrance. Opening the door, I was met with an automatic toilet with a very spacious shelf above it in the wall. It was considerably roomy compared to some other public restrooms. As I made my way out towards the sink, I noticed that the woman in the corner was still there. She now had small bags surrounding her and makeup laid out in some order around her side of the sink. She was doing her eye makeup when I approached. A sink away from her, I pulled out my contact case and solution bottle from my drawstring bag, ready to restore my vision to its correct prescription. As I put my contacts on, I couldn’t help but notice the body language of the woman in the
I was surprised, embarrassed and dismayed all at once. Her flight made me feel like an accomplice in tyranny. It also made it clear that I was indistinguishable from the muggers who occasionally seeped into the area from the surrounding ghetto. (Staples 240 - 241)
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
Everyone on the plane start shuffling around, anxious to get off this stuffy tin can. “We are all going to meet at customs!” My teacher announced to the group. I looked to Kyani for the look of reassurance, knowing that neither of us knew what we were doing, and after the six-hour delay we suffered, trying to roam a foreign airport at 12am didn’t seem like the most exciting of endeavors. The flight attendants finally open the exit and the crowd shifted forward. We entered the jet bridge
I was waiting to board the plane; the flight was at six in the morning. While on the plane, I could hear the attendant giving us instructions of safety. I wasn’t paying much attention. My mind was not focused on the flight. I just stared out the window.
Her sister, her, and I all bustled down to American Eagle so her sister could try on some pants. I was standing uncomfortably propped up on a clothing rack having to use the restroom at this point in time. My friend and I walked over to the food court bathrooms passing by tables of people messily shoving food in their mouth. I passed my a girl and guy, assuming they were dating and they waved at me, I waved back and suddenly remembered I passed by them about ten other times in the span of two ours. It felt as though we knew each other and where old pals. Regaining my thoughts I walked to the bathroom and then back out after a few minutes. They always smell of grease and a pungent cheese
Well this took place in el paso, texas during summer break. During the summer we would always look forward to it since we got to see our grandma. Now this is when our summer went down hill and things changed.

After going about my business, I reached for the brass door-handle that would let me out of the tiny room, which consisted of the toilet, a small shower, a moldy rug, and a trash can that was overflowing with tissues and toilet paper. A few pieces of blue gum were carelessly stuck on top of the heap. I hesitated, however, to let my hand touch the door-handle in fear of what might be living on it. I took the chance and grabbed the smooth metal anyway, turned it as quickly as I could, and stepped out of the bathroom to the sink to wash my potentially diseased hands. Chad, who came with me to Joe's dorm, stood nervously in the living area, his hands hanging onto the rims of his pockets. The porcelain sink, which I am assuming...
The heart begins racing the moment the car pulls into the airport parking lot. The smell of jet fuel, automobile exhaust, and hot tarmac combine to assault the senses with images of exotic escapes and the kind of freedom that can only come from airports. I feel the thrum of the engines at takeoff and the vibration of the plane during the flight in my skin. I see people listening to MP3s and playing video games. I hear the couple behind me chatting about the weather in Florida and the possibility of rain. I recognize the smell of fading perfume that women are wearing. Chanel, Windsong and White Diamonds clash with the smell of popcorn and Quizno sandwiches.
straight out of the building. I didn't need to get crap from some lady when I
Have you ever gotten lost in a busy place? Did you feel like the whole world was out to get you? When I was six, and my brother, Eric, was seven, we got lost in Gatwick Airport in England. We had just gotten off the plane and we were heading for baggage claim. “Keep an eye on Victoria,” said my mom to Eric.
It was cold outside, Darren's favorite part of picking up someone was when they told him where they’re destination was. He never asked questions because liked to imagine what they were doing. Why they are going to their destinations. Its was November, also really cold in New York. while he drove his clients around he saw a noticeable amount of pink papers attached to every post.

...d find. Finally I kneeled in front of the toilet. That’s when my plan went all wrong.
After getting dressed, I went downstairs and the wait began. I thought I was going to be
