Born in a hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona on August 15 1998, came out Reese Carpenter with my original married parents Shawn and Stacey. Beginning at the age of 2, I moved from Arizona to Michigan where my mom met my step dad Jeff on an online dating website. During my elementary school years, my teacher Mrs. Maylen was always repetitive giving the same type of homework every day. Also, another one of my teachers, Mrs.Kopmeyer would always help me when I was falling behind in class to help make sure I caught up. When I transitioned into middle school, a lot of subjects were difficult for me to progress through such as English and science. However, math was always easy for me to understand since I was good with numbers. My family has
always worked hard to keep me healthy and give me a great education. Firstly, I have a mom who helps prepare my food every meal, a stepdad that works every day to provide money for the family and my siblings who kept me entertained everyday. One of my favorite activities I do in the winter is skiing. The cold beautiful scenery along with going down the ski hill is one of the many reasons I enjoy it. Another one of my favorite sports to participate in is wrestling since it requires lots of physical effort to become great in it. Wrestling also requires you to be fit and also to contain lots of stamina. Home activities I generally enjoy are reading fiction books such as the lord of the rings and playing basketball outside. Lastly, I want to learn this year about improving my vocabulary. Throughout my precious years at school, I've always struggled with grammar in the previous years in school. Grammar improvement will be able to help me speak more sophisticated. Lastly, my goal is to keep rising on the myp scale. Myp shows improvement from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. Starting with a 3 on the myp scale and ending with a 7 by the end of the year shows learning improvement from the classroom that I didn't know before in English.
When I was growing up, I struggled a great deal in school! In third grade I started a new school. They had three tiers of classes. One with the regular kids, another with kids that needed a little bit of help in math and reading, and thirdly, a category that had mentally retarded children learning life skills. I was being placed in that third tier. I absolutely loved school before they had placed me in that class. All that
Middle school was a amazing experience, for me anyway. I, myself have changed tremendously from the beginning of 6th grade to the end of 8th grade. Not just in appearance either, on the inside as well.
Throughout my life, I had always received recognition for being very agile and quick. My first day of Middle School consisted of the track and field coach attempting to persuade me to join the school’s athletics program. I had previously never been apart of an athletics team, and was willing to take advantage of the opportunity. Throughout my three years of middle school, I was the one consistent member of the school’s track and field team and had an overall successful personal record. Coaches from opposing school would praise me leaving me feeling very confident about myself.
My first few years of school I struggled with math the most. I remember losing games in class because I knew the answer but couldn’t get my thought out my mouth in in time. Me not being able to focus on one thing at a time also interferes with things like my speech and motor

Yes! I know transitioning to middle school can be tough there are many changes you have to get used to. Don’t worry when you get to the Computer School you will feel nervous at first but then once you get the hang of middle school everything will be fine. I made it through the first tough days by believing in myself and being strong.
Sports-also known as, the only thing small schools can use to get their names out there, that’s why they are such a big deal, unless there’s a rare chance that a super gifted kid is attending that school.
At this story I will be talking about my life past in elementary. When I begin to elementary to today I am a middle school.
I try to talk to a teacher everyday about different topics. By talking with other teachers who are in there first-year teachers or seasoned teachers they have different ways of seeing thing. These teachers give me a different thought on how to do certain lessons. I realized my classroom setting is different due to how low my students are compared to the rest, but they really helped me to understand how to bring common core standards down to the level that my students need to learn. Like I said before, I can be doing 4 different lessons at the same time, but we 're all still doing a main theme. Whether it 's adding subtracting or reading comprehension, we 're all looking for the characters or the setting. These teachers are extremely helpful to me to be successful within my
My Math Teacher, Mrs. Ladd. When thinking back and remembering all of the teachers that I have had in the past, there is one in particular that comes to mind. Her name was Mrs. Ladd. She taught math at the junior high school.
I was sent to one of their lowest math classes and essentially started from the basics. My ability to do math improved. I remember the first time I ever got an A in a math class, I was thrilled. This teacher’s approach was different from all of my previous teachers. She focused on one concept a day and started with simple problems that she did with the class.
Math is probably one of the only subjects that I have really struggled my whole life or more accurately, all my years being in school. Math has been such trouble and really challenging because I cannot really remember mathematical formulas and problem solving methods. It is actually a real struggle when taking a math test or exam, especially a final exam. Trying to remember all those methods and formulas, it makes it hard to think and focus on finishing up all the problems on time. Even though I am often am
Every teacher I had was encouraging, loving, and supportive of each student that they taught. If one student falls behind, the teacher makes extra sure to teach and re-teach the subject until it is understood. Once I entered the fifth grade and into middle and high school, each teacher that I had tried to be encouraging, loving, and supportive of their students; however, my teachers often had too many students to give the individual attention that so many children need. When I began to fall behind in certain subjects, my teachers tried to help but were often unable to teach and re-teach, because they had no choice but to continue on with their lesson plans. I continued to fall further and further behind; therefore, I had to spend many hours after school working on my homework problems with my parents.
My math learning experiences were, for the most part, very positive. I loved moving through my accelerated pace and learning different branches of mathematics when I was in school. I thought it was “cool” to move up into higher grades and take classes with those kids. My most memorable math experiences vary by grade level. In the sixth grade, my math teacher was very enthusiastic and we did a great amount of hands on learning that I enjoyed. He also used many visual representations that stuck with me. For example, when learning greater than and less than, he created alligator mouth posters that we used for practice with the entire class on review days. My eighth grade year was very memorable for me because I had the opportunity to go to the high school and be in their classes. I loved that! My worst memory of mathematics comes from my AP
In Seventh grade it was a whole different story. I had different teachers who weren’t very good and also did played favoritism. Most of the time I took time off to relocate
