As I walk into Universal Studios: Orlando my heart races, my feet start to move faster, today is the day my dreams come true. Today is the day I finally get to go on the Harry Potter Gringotts Ride, I have been anticipating this moment for the past two months. As my family and I walk through the streets of Universal we come across the Kings Cross Station entrance. I immediately turn ecstatic, I walk through taking in the whole Harry Potter World experience. The smells are glorious, the sights are incredible, my dream has come true. My sister, my cousins and I run to the Gringotts line hoping it is not too long of a wait. When we are in line continue we walk through the Gringotts bank that is incredible, my attention goes to all of the creative …show more content…
I know become even more impatient, along with being hungry, tired, and irritated at my sister who is doing a British accent. We are stuck on a dim lit spiral staircase with hot sweaty people and I feel like the dark grey walls are closing in on me. We keep waiting, and waiting, and waiting with having no hope that the ride will start up again. Finally, after a half an hour of more waiting, "Thank you for your patience, the Harry Potter Gringotts Ride will begin momentarily." I almost fall of the stairs jumping for joy, my excitement builds up again and I really cannot control it this time. We are two minutes away from riding my dream ride since fifth grade. My sister, cousin, and I walk into another line for seats. When the next ride unloads, we begin to file into the seats and I am literally bouncing up and down on the seat. Our seat belts are fastened, the 3-D glasses are put on, and the ride finally begins to …show more content…
These 3-D glasses are truly amazing, they make the ride so extravagant. The dragon then blows fire at us, making the room even hotter, suddenly the ride jerks and we are down another dark hallway. Voldemort appears on the screen, with Bellatrix Lestrange by his side, Bellatrix makes our cart shake with a spell and soon we are falling into the pits of Gringotts. Nagini pops out of the screen making me scream my head off, my cousin and I laughing at our own reactions. The ride takes another jerky turn and once again we are down another dark hallway. A waterfall appears, and so do some large, concrete chess pieces, they start to hit our cart. Our cart continues to shake, until finally the waterfall explodes sending water onto us. We start to spin around in the cart until Hermione, Ron, and Harry appear with another dragon. The make the dragon to start flapping his wing, and soon a fan turn on and we feel the wind as if it were the dragons wings. We escape Gringotts and finally head back to the loading station. I get off the ride, I smile the whole way out of the ride until we are back out into the
My opinion though is that Universal Studios Orlando is awesome and fun that a lot of people will enjoy. Some information about Universal Studios is that it has a lot of different types of rides. They have different sections of the park with different types of themes like the Harry Potter theme. That is one of its biggest attractions to the park. There is so much to do at the park you can go on rides, eat at restaurants, or just walk around the park
Universal Studios is an action pack theme park were you can go on a quest with Shrek and find his wife princes Fiona or help the min in black kill aliens in an alien hunt to save society. Universal is also known for the character interactions, while walking to our next you I ran into a transformer patrolling the streets making sure we get to our next ride safe, then I seen the minions from despicable me waving and talking to people. Universal also have a variety of other things to do such as shows. One of my favorite shows is the blue man group. The blue man group Is a musical and somewhat of a comedy show using your everyday things an instruments such as, a garbage can, glass bottles, glass plates and many more. After attending the park, we went back to the hotel to get dinner and bowl at the hotels bowling alley called
...ey walk out of a haunted house, ensuring that it is going to be a scary one. Nowadays it’s hard to find a place to go to on Halloween that isn’t overplayed and not scary at all, but there is a place and its Universal Studios.
However, the success stories of Harry Potter shows ominous signs that Universal is gaining in strength to give Disneyland a good competition, if not surpass the same.
After walking past those, my family and I walk under the giant globe. It is an enormous structure and walking under it made me feel like an ant. It was white and had the appearance of a giant disco ball. There was a line to go inside the globe too. This was a ride called Spaceship Earth. It felt cold and cramped walking into the globe. When I got on the ride, it brought us back in time. Anyone could choose their own language, so we thought of listening to it in Japanese. This showed cave men, the Romans, the Egyptians, people from the 1800s, and people from now. This ride also showed us what we would do in the future. It was a funny feature, where it showed ourselves flying in hover cars and using other futuristic inventions. That was the end of the ride after that.
People can be very wild when it comes to amusement park and their widespread excitement. Although if you think about it
My parents still tell me stories when my brother and I would fall asleep riding with them. When I was five I got a Mini Z 120 that was the best thing a five-year-old could get and let me tell you I rode the daylights out of that. I only hit two trees and one pickup and the house two times, dad was never happy about that, but then again I was only five. Then when I got older I would ride with my dad on the back and tucker would ride his own and then now and then I would drive with my dad with me. Then one day I was riding on my own. I was 13 and we got to Ventura and we had to get gas so we pull into the gas station there was a DNR sitting there. I didn’t have my
The trip is going to take forever! The van is all cramped and sweaty. I’m tossing and turning all the time. The trip is going to take all day, all night, and then some!
So I was looking forward to this ride just to see my grandma like that. The ride itself was more of a sit and see ride. We sat on a boat, and it would move slowly so we could see all of the little figurines from the different cultures move and dance. As the ride went on, the song “It’s a Small World After All” would play, and I would look at my grandma and she would have this happy face and she would be clapping along to the music. I myself enjoyed the ride because it was meant to be a happy ride, and let me tell you, it was certainly was happy. Those rides were really fun to go on, but they didn’t give that intense feeling that I was looking for. Enter Splash mountain, my personal favorite ride from the Magic Kingdom. This reason this was my favorite ride is that when we went on it, we all got soaked. It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it went out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on
Within my fifteen and a half years of living, I have experienced many heart wrenching moments that have changed who I am, so many that I stopped trying to keep count long ago. Like most teenagers, the past couple of years have been some of the most confusing, hectic years of my life. I'm at that age I'm trying to figure out who I am, as well as who I want to become. As indecisive as I am, I will more than likely change my mind a time or two, but right now at this very moment, I've finally come to terms with who I really am, and what I would like to do for the rest of my life.
The initial realization came from the purchase of a single ticket. Originally reasonably overpriced starting at $45 online, it had turned out it was much more which sort of made me laugh (thinking of those false advertisements on tv). At first I wasn’t too phased, until I noticed someone purchase a fast lane pass. I had always loved waiting in lines talking to friends, cousins or even meeting new people in line. It seemed to be almost like a tradition to discuss different topics further increasing the bond in my relationships with others.
My first experience with a carnival ride was a Ferris wheel at a local fair. Looking at that looming monstrosity spinning the life out of its sardine-caged occupants, I was dumbstruck. It was huge, smoky, noisy and not a little intimidating. Ever since that initial impression became fossilized in my imagination many years ago, these rides have reminded me of mythical beasts, amazing dinosaurs carrying off their screaming passengers like sacrificial virgins. Even the droning sound of their engines brings to mind the great roar of a fire-breathing dragon with smoke spewing from its exhaust-pipe nostrils.
Your hands are shaking so much it takes a while for you to get your seat belt off, so you need a little assistance from a worker. When you stand up, it instantly feels like you are about to vomit all of the cotton candy, and candy apples you had eaten early that day. It feels as though the bile has built up in your gut and it is ready to spew through your mouth. When you step out of your seat, your legs are wobbly and feel like Jello making it challenging for you to walk correctly, and everyone notices you having a hard time standing. Your hands are quivering, but you know you just had the ride of your life, so you feel some sense of pleasure. Even though you feel like your life has flashed before your eyes, you are cheerful you rode the ride, but don’t know if you would consider riding it
"RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK," and watching the panorama of sky and sea. Then the
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
