The Girl Who Broke Her Arm One day, a girl was at school. She was in grade three. It was a normal day. She was doing normal things like eating and playing. It was lunch. She was playing on the monkey bars because that was what she liked to do at lunch and recess. So, when she was playing on the monkey bars, she decided to jump to the third monkey bar, and she made it, but she slipped because her hands were so slippery and sweaty. She saw her feet. Everything went slow, then it went fast again, and she fell on her arm. She did not know her arm was broken. Then, the bell rang. She went to the office. Her arm was on a pillow, and she had an ice pack on it. Oh, and by the way, her name is Lucy. She waited for her dad in the office for a while. Then, her dad came and picked her up. She got to sit in the front seat without a car seat, and they went to the hospital. …show more content…
Then, the doctor brought them to a waiting room before she got her cast on. A lady called them up, and she put a little wrap-around thing on her arm, and she told them to go sit down and wait until the doctor comes. So, they waited and waited, and at some points, she would start to cry, but just a little bit every now and then. She and her dad were watching something on her dad’s phone. They waited some more. They waited for a while. They waited for a long time—I mean a very long time. Then, the doctor finally came in, and she went into a room and she got a cast on. It was a pink cast. Then, they went

In the past, I’ve made numerous mistakes. They all were very similar, most of them being related to school, sports, friendships, or even as simple as arguing with a parent. Although I had many, and learned quite a few lessons from them, most of these mistakes were not life changing. I would usually just be grounded by a parent, or get half credit on the homework because I didn’t do it correctly. Those mistakes were not as grand, or complex, or painful as my favorite mistake. I hadn’t realized until I reflected on the event, but my favorite mistake was when I broke my collarbone playing flag football in sixth grade.
I can remember this night just like it was yesterday. It was a hot, humid Saturday night, in July, after my fifth grade year. It was two weeks after my birthday, which is June twenty-third. I had just got a new pair of skates. I didn’t think anything about checking the wheels on my skates or how loose they were or even if I could actually skate with them because I didn't have wooden floors at the times so If I skated it would have to be on the road, but that messes up the wheels, so I just waited for the day I came back skating to try them out. I’ve been skating since I was four, so wearing new skates isn’t going to be like a new day with new feet, well at least that’s what I thought. It was gonna be perfect, I was going
The athletic trainer rushed to help and he helped her out of the field really gently. Then he saw that he had to call 911 because she wanted that good so he called them. But before all that, he knew what he had to check first.
Sarah Brown had an injury going into the olympic tryoutsfalling just short of making the team. When Sarah Brown was trying out for the olympics, on the 1500 meter run, she found out she was pregnant. She stopped trying out. She practiced running while she was pregnant. People discouraged her for doing that. Sarah didn't et that get to her. Two weeks before the baby's due date, Sarah came up with a fever. She and her husband went to the hospital. She found out she was supposed to give birth in a few hours. Sarah focused on the baby's heart rate trying to relieve the pain. She was hoping to have a seccessful delivery. She didn't want to go into C-section because the recovery would take to long and she wouldn't be able to practice for the olmypics.

Evelyn got to the hospital and helped Nakona to a birthing room. She did a cervical exam on Nakona to see how far she had dilated. Nakona was beyond eight centimeters and could not receive an Epidural. Then the midwife put a peanut ball between Nakona’s legs to give them a break because they were shaking. A few minutes later Nakona told them to move the peanut ball. After they removed the ball she screamed, “I NEED TO PUSH!”
And in the other room, Mary Maloney began to giggle. She stifled her laugh when she heard them stir. She found a small tissue and forced a tear as she trudged into the kitchen. “I’m so sorry dear, I couldn’t stop crying,” she said in a sorrowful tone.
I sat down and decided to watch the movie White House Down. If Roland Emmerich (The Director) is making lousy movies of how the world ends, he’s at least making proper movies like Independence Day and White House Down, according to critics. Roland is known for these thriller’s but, has only succeeded once in a while. White House Down tries this out with actors Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum. We’ve seen Tatum perform within the movies 21 Jump Street, the G.I. Joe series and many more. Jamie Foxx has an amazing performance with the movies Annie and Rio 2. This is a compelling duo with a hit or miss director. If Channing Tatum can do a Balanced performance and Jamie Foxx does a stunning job. I personally enjoy these type of movies that are thrillers
Dr. Snyder, who is an emergency surgeon, walked outside the hospital and discovered that a pregnant woman was bleeding heavily inside of her truck. Her husband and the bystanders were panicking. Dr. Snyder knew that he had to act quickly because the woman was in labor. He delivered the baby in the couple's truck. The baby girl's umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, but the doctor managed to untangle it. The baby was healthy and did not have any complications.
The whole family cried for hours upon hours. Eventually they stopped because they didn’t have any tears left. To make Meredith try to forget what had happened, they took her out to her favorite restaurant, “ Wild West Steak House”. It didn't work, all they could talk about was Meredith’s cancer and how they were going to pay for it. When Meredith got home she took a long hot shower and then tried to go to sleep, but everything that was going on in her life was replaying in her mind and she couldn't get them to be quiet. Around 2:00 in the morning she fell asleep but only for moments. She had the worst nightmare, it was about how Tori left her for a different friend and that Elliot broke up with Meredith for another girl. Meredith woke up with a jolt and was wide awake. She went down stairs and got a glass of milk. Her hand tightened up and she could feel her heart slowing down. The glass cup she had the milk in slipped out of her hand and it woke her parents up. If she wouldn't have spilled the milk she may have slipped into a
Cindy told the doctors that the baby had fallen off of the couch and onto the carpet, but the doctors quickly realized that the baby had injuries far worse than just falling off of the couch. What happened next surprised everyone.
