Today was the day. This is it, my life will be over in a week and I can't bare the thought of it. I've always been afraid of death and anything having to do with a person dying but I never thought this would happen to me. I already have so many regrets of things I wish I could do and re do. All I wonder now is what has my life become? So many opportunities and amazing trips I should've taken but didn't.
I am proud of how far I’ve become as a person. I picked myself up after a tough time in my life and decided to change for the better. I wouldn't let the things that were happening around me affect how I was going to be. I am proud of having found a job in the summer and sticking to it. Who would've ever thought I would be working during my

I've always been someone who goes out of their way for other people. I helped many times around my community and attended many events but I did this for me. It all helped shape the person I am today and brought me many opportunities, I met a lot of new people and these were my best moments. I am proud to say that no matter how many times I was offered or someone tried to make me slip up, I did not. I didn't fall into bad habits or let my parents down. I tried in school and didn't give up easily. I overcame some fears and tried new foods. I'm happy with the things I've done because all those moments always made me learn something …show more content…
Thank you for being some of the people I looked up to and being patient with me. Thank you for listening to my annoying jokes that were never really funny but you would laugh anyways. You both became my best friends growing up but it is time for me to go, I hope you cherish all our amazing memories because I sure did. Keep pushing yourselves and become amazing successful people I know you will be. You guys deserve it all and i'm sure you will accomplish everything you want and more, just don't give
I am dedicated to helping out our community and school, because it warms my heart and soul. Seneca said in about 40 to 60 A.D. that you should “be silent as to services you have rendered, but speak of favors you have received.” In other words you should not boast about the numerous projects you have accomplished and how much physical work you executed, but rather pride yourself on how you helped people in community and school, and how you have affected their lives with positive means. I feel life is joyous and it should be the feeling everyone illustrates, and this is exactly what keeps me functioning in the stressful world today. I find comfort in helping others to make their lives a little more like heaven and this comfort motivates me to perform copious service projects to the best of my capability whenever I find the time. Time is fair to the rich, the poor, and to every race, because time is equal and gives everyone 24 hours daily to accomplish their required tasks. Because time is so valuable and I am occupied by difficult advanced placement and honor classes and juggle school, clubs, sports, and friends, I joined Key Club, a high school division of the adult service club, Kiwanis. Key Club opened new doors to make every extra minute count towards helping others.
After reviewing my life, I have decided my life defining moment was when my family and I moved to Texas from Oklahoma. I consider this move my life changing moment because it changed so many things in my life. This move set the stage for an entirely new life for me. Moving six hours away from the only home I knew certainly called for many changes.
around Tawas about a three hour's drive from our houses, it was the best we could find
I have always been involved in volunteering and helping out my community in the most positive ways possible. I volunteer at women's shelters and soup kitchens to the best of my ability because people in need have always had a special place in my heart. For that reason, this is why I choose to receive my undergraduate degree in Social Work. I firmly think there are many amazing people in our society that are not given the opportunities that they
I was raised to do my best to help others whenever I saw the opportunity, such as from acting like a personal chiropractor for my friends and family or raising $5,000 for charity. I found something that I really enjoyed; I was doing things for others that benefited them and not me. I knew what I enjoyed; the issue was finding a career that I could provide a service to others and enjoy. Considering many careers, from joining the military to becoming a psychiatrist, I decided to pursue Occupational Therapy.
It was a few days before I left for school and my best friend, Kate, was throwing a good-bye party for our group of friends. I was so excited for this bash seeing that it would be the last time our group would be together for a while. It was a time for all of us to move on and embark upon futures that held so much for all of us, and to say farewell to the people and memories that had shaped us.
A personal change I would like to make is my approach and the response I display to my teammates and the organization. I am a very independent person at work, I tend to be a controlling person in every aspect. However, I am trying to overcome this debilitating trait by learning new techniques and reflecting on the other person’s ideas, comments, efforts and suggestions without taking control. I do complete my task with little or no assistance, but it causes me to be detached, indifferent, and uninvolved from my teammates causing conflicting issues. I do sense a distance between myself and my teammates, but I continue to work hard and remain focus.
I have always seen myself as an individual who always puts the needs of others before my own. Ever since I was a young girl I wanted to help other
At the age of seven, my life changed forever. I was no longer living in my native country; I was now a fragment of the millions of immigrants who come to the United States in search of the American Dream. At the time, my father had recently lost his job and my mother was unemployed, which caused incredible financial stress for my family. My father decided to risk his life crossing the Rio Grande River for our family to have a better life and greater rewards.
Every time I do some kind of service – I have the opportunity to learn new ideas, discover new perspectives and I've have grown as an individual. By giving back I like making people feel as though they matter, and it gives me a good feeling at the end of the day because I feel I have made a difference. I grow as a person each time I do volunteering. Some people do volunteering because they have to, but I do it because I want to. I love volunteering.
It seems unbelievable my oldest is a few days off being a decade old. I know every parent wonders “where has the time gone?” a multitude of times during their children’s childhoods, but as I realize my son is over halfway to 'adulthood' it seems like the time has flown by.
I am very proud of the person that I have become. I have followed my own dreams, fantasies, friends, and idols to become the person that I am today. My family has influenced me as far as morals and values, my friends have influenced me in social activities, speech, and clothing, and my fantasies and idols have given me something to strive for in my life. Once a person takes the time to truly get to know me, they tend to see me as one of the greatest guys that they have ever met. I will continue to live my life for individual that I am while taking into other people and not doing anything that may negatively affect another person’s life. I am currently very happy with the person that I am and will continue keep myself happy until the day I die.
There have been tons of things that I have learned and been taught in my life, by a number of people such as family, teachers, or even friends on occasion. The things they taught me vary from math and other related subjects to just some truly simple yet meaningful life lessons. However, there is nothing quite as unique, quite as special as a person teaching themselves a life lesson. It really is an amazing accomplishment for a person to teach themselves something. It is not quite as simple as another person teaching them something because it is not just the transferring of information from one person to another. The person instead has to start from scratch and process the information they have in their mind in order to come up with a new thought
During my freshman year of college, I had met one of my best friends, who go by name Jill. (She lives in New Jersey and while I live in Pennsylvania) I found it to be strange that sometimes, it feels like we have grown up with one another but in reality we have only one another for four years and I couldn’t be more thankful. I can remember when we met at school as if it was yesterday.
My life is a mixture of moments, some happy moments and others not so much, but regardless, these moments have made me the person that I am today and I don’t regret anything that had happen. I consider myself a strong, and a very determined person, I have dreams to fill the world and I am willing to do the necessary efforts to attain those dreams. My motivations I inherit from my family, more specifically my father that I love so much; I have always
