Are you afraid of roller coasters? Well I was, let me tell you about my first time going to Busch gardens. August 16, 2016, I had just awoken and smelled breakfast my girlfriend was already up and cooking. The smell was enticing and I quickly got up and hurried to the kitchen. What I saw had my mouth watering there was, pancakes stacked high with oozing melted butter dripping off the top, the bacon was crispy and eggs was fluffy with a glass of orange juice I thanked her and we ate. The food was great and I enjoyed it even more since I wasn’t expecting it. It was a typical day other than the breakfast we decided we will go out and do something since the kids were with their dads this weekend. It was a nice day out a little windy, I mentioned four-wheelers and she came up with the idea lets go on rollercoasters today. …show more content…
We go online and go to the website to order the tickets instead of waiting in the long lines. We order the tickets and start getting packed and dressed to head out; luckily I already had some water shoes. I started feeling my stomach drop as she started locking the house door up and headed towards the car. Buying some time I mentioned getting and bringing spare water and towels just in case. I headed back inside taking my time but making sure not to take to long. I finally head back out and she was in the car already waiting on me I got in and she said “what happened you get lost” I smirked and didn’t reply, we began to head
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
Every year an estimated 290 million people all over the world flock to amusement and theme parks to experience the thrills and excitement of the modern day roller coaster. (Boldurian 16). Now thousands of people a day can safely experience the G-forces that an astronaut or fighter pilot would experience in flight. "The Revolution" a roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia California gives riders an amazing 4.9 Gs; that is 1.5 more than an astronaut at launch. (Boldurian 16). These G-forces create thrills and fear and excitement in all who ride them. But the truth is that there is no reason to fear. Roller Coasters are exceptionally safe. The mortality rate for roller coasters is one in 90 million, and most of the fatality occurred due to failure to follow safety guidelines. (Boldurian 17). But roller coasters have not always been this safe. One of the first coaster attractions was actually just a mine rail designed to bring coal to the base of the mountain (Lemelson-MIT Program). The attraction was a thirty minute ride, with speeds of more than one-hundred miles per hour. As time went on entrepreneurs in the late 1800's began creating “quick buck cheap thrill attractions.” These early coasters lacked safety for the sake of thrills. This changed when John A. Miller engineer and roller coaster designer began making coasters. John Miller held over 100 patents many of which were for roller coaster safety and functionality that are still used today (Lemelson-MIT Program). John Miller's inventions and improvements to the roller coaster make him the father of the modern roller coaster that we know today.
She had told me she would be back. So I asked her if she would like to join me and take a trip to the Keys with me. I could tell she was so excited when I asked her because she texted me back all in caps and said “CALL ME”. So I called her to let her know all of the details. So she ended up getting back.
There is an immense amount of rides in Walt Disney World. Some of the most famous rides are The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, and the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith. Also known as The Tower of Terror, this incredibly detailed attraction takes people very high up so they can see out the window for just a second, until it drops them to what seems like their doom. This is done repeatedly, until the ride comes to stop. Another thrilling ride is Space Mountain. On this mostly pitch black journey, riders are pulled into action in ups and downs. Another exhilarating
What most people expect to hear is me looking forward to riding the roller coasters. I hope that’s not what you thought because I hate them, maybe not hate, but really I’m just not a big fan of high altitudes in general. Consequently, this is why I was always reluctant to going with my family on this trip. Nevertheless I always went. Now that you know I’m not a fan of heights you could guess what attractions I was accustomed to riding, let’s just say my height requirement was more than enough to be eligible to ride. This specific year I decided to bring a friend to accompany me and in hindsight that was a bad idea because he was a roller coaster
She had also fallen sick that morning and would not be able to come to the joint. So she asked me to get the ticket for her. When I replied that I was also home, she became quite disappointed and hung
It's all dark not even one shine of light.I hear a sharp clicking sound over and over every second I hear people voice as if they overly and extremely excited about what's going on around them. Then I heard a little kid screaming loud as ever like they was fearful and terrified of what they see or about to happen. The person behind me heart was beating so hard I could it about to bust out of her chest.I don’t know why I closed me eyes because I like the feeling when going up the roller coaster I love riding on rides at Cedar Point, but when I seen the dragster roller coaster it make me re think about going getting on it.
I have this fear that causes my body to shake. When I think about it, my skin becomes pale and cold. It’s death speeding through my mind. Once I have seen these monstrous roller coasters, the only thing in my mind was fear. Knowing that I’m afraid to go on these rides, I didn’t want to look like a fool in front of my friends. My mind is thinking of deadly thoughts. My palms were sweaty and I was twitching like a fish. I was petrified of heights.
Roller coasters have become a favorite for people all over the world. everyone has their different views about roller coasters but at the end of the the day we all love them no matter
Have you ever ridden a roller coaster that has made you puke? Want to go again? Maybe even hate the ride and never want to go again? Learn a lesson about life? We had just approached the roller coaster that looked like it would make you extremely sick to your stomach, Lagoon Amusement Park has so far had the scariest rides ever, not including the kids section we walked through. Considering I’m from Wyoming where there are no amusement parks, just carnivals that are in town for at most a week. There are no scary rides at all but let me tell you, these were really scary rides standing in front of me. “Would you girls want to go on that ride,” my dad asked my sisters and me.
This day had been so pleasing since the beginning; it was a summer weekend of the year 2005.One of the finest days came to a start with an early morning shopping with my cousins, mother, aunt, and younger sister. Here we all obtained our swimsuits which we later took home meeting the rest of our family. Eventually we packed all that subsisted to go from Phoenix to Rocky Point. After we were completely set to hit the road my cousins went on their truck while my family and I left happily behind them. Listening to music, laughing, singing, eating, and talking we spent the entire time on the road having a pleasant time. I was so anxious to get to perceive the beach, construct sand castles, play in the water, spend time with my family. A few hours into our road trip we arrived at our destination.
My back is so sore, and I’m feeling tired from the long drive ss we are just getting into Edmonton, cruising in my mom’s grey minivan, I say to my mother “are we almost there yet?” yes, but looks like we’ll be stopping for coffee my girl’ mom says to me, I sit back and light a cigarette, looking out the window at all the traffic listening to the radio.
Amusement parks are by far one of the most thrilling places on earth. As you wait in a long line to get in park, you can hear numerous kids, adults, and tourist shouting off the top of their lungs due to a tremendous jaw-dropping drop on their beloved roller coasters.
The day started of normal for me, but trust me when I say it didn’t end that way. First, I groggily woke up, took five to ten minutes to convince myself to get out of bed, and groaned as I began getting ready. In the background were the beautiful morning songs of my mother screaming at her sons to finish getting ready before they missed the bus, it was an everyday thing
An amusement park is an enjoyable place for people of all ages. I love visiting them with my friends and family. I personally like Dorney Park, which gives the guests a multiple variety of rides— from being completely soaked in water to flying through the air at the same speeds cars travel at on the highway. Amusements parks overall are a fascinating place. The atmosphere created by all of the visitors is very lively. Music can be heard in the background from live concerts. All different kinds of smells are in the air, from the overly priced food stores to the quacking ducks swimming in the ponds. Lights flash all over the place from carnival games that seem hopeless of victory. My friends and I love going on a hot day, so we can go on all the water rides first, and then air off on the rollercoasters. Rollercoasters are probably my most favorite attractions because the joy of riding a rollercoaster never gets old. No matter how many times I have been on the ride, it always brings forth new excitements and thrills. The adventure is always new, and my adrenaline rush keeps me going. Rollercoasters tracks are able to produce infinite number of option for the coaster to travel, where it can loop, twist and turn, or simply go in reverse. Due to their high
