All about me! We are all different in many ways, today I am going to tell you about myself and what makes me... well me! I have so much to tell you but let's just start with family, friends, soccer, and God. Before I continue we have to remember that everyone is special and different in their own way. Although we may have a few things in common, we are all different. Now let's get started. Where do I begin? Mmmm...family! In my family we help each other and we play together. My amazing family is sometimes known as the Gordon family to other people. As a part of the Gordon family we promise to always spend at least a little bit of quality time together. We are always there for each other even if the others aren't day in and day out. In the summer we like to go to parks to kick around a soccer ball and we also love going to water world. I love my family and I love seeing them everyday when I get home. I'm very glad that I get to be in my spectacular yet completely insane family. …show more content…
Me and my friends go through a lot of hard times with eachother. My friends are basically my life. I mean they're the ones that make me who I am today. Without my friends I would be nothing. We make some many memories with each other everyday. Even if we are doing the most boring activity, we always find a way to make it fun. When we hang out we usually go to Chick-fil-a. Pop, sizzle, ding! The fries are done. The taste of the fries and the chicken on our taste buds nearly makes us drool. When my friends and I hang out we always convince our parents to let us have a sleepover. Without my friends I'd probably be the stupidest person in the
Soccer has guided me in many ways to become the person I am. Especially in high school, the sport has showed me how to be much more cooperative and open with others. Before high school, I isolated myself from others and had only a few close friends. Rather than being a sociable, I acted as though I was the only person in the world and had the outlook that as long as I do what is right individually, there is no need for me to work with others. This outlook changed when I joined the soccer team at Holy Spirit, my high school. With the way soccer is at the high school level, I had no choice but to cooperate and associate my selves with others. Once on the field, instead of introducing myself as "me" I had to introduce myself as a part of the team. You win as a team and you lose as a team. Sometimes I wanted to drive to games myself, and I was not allowed to because we are supposed to travel together and it would be wrong to the team for me to separate myself from the group.
With friends, our lives will be better, our days will be full of joy, and our unhappiness will fade away. Friends will take care when we are in need as we will support them in everything with the best we have. Life with friends will always give us wonderful memories that we will never forget for the rest of our days. Works Cited Viorst, Judith. A. Take two kids, for example, who have been best friends since the first grade. Later in high school, one of the two friends is heading downhill with their life. This is a time when the friend needs the other friend the most. If the other friend isn't there for them, then it can be really hard. We depend on our friends to help us out.
My friends are very important to me and without them I do not think I would be where I am today. My second real friendship began in the middle of my freshman year of high school. I had been introduced to someone who later became one of my two best friends, Michelle Zabuska, by someone in my Theater class. Some time later, as a result to a major fight caused by a mutual friend of ours, I realized that I had to be careful with whom I trusted. It was Michelle who pointed out a quote from one of our favorite television shows, Felicity, that I realized she was my true friend in every aspect of the word. I started to look at my...
My full name is Elizabeth Mason Godwin but I go by Libby. I have grown up living with my parents Barry and Nancy Godwin in Traverse City. I went to Willow Hill Elementary School where my love for sports started. I started playing soccer in fifth grade when my friend Carrie invited me to one of her practices to see what it was like. They let me play with the team that day and I fell in love! I immediately signed up and joined the YMCA team. I continued to play for the YMCA until I was in the seventh grade and moved up to TBAYS. I joined a rec team with a couple of my friends who also played soccer. We practiced twice a week in the spring and fall and had games every weekend. We also attended tournaments in the summer. My favorite was always the Canton Invitational down in Canton, Michigan. Besides loving to play the games that we had all weekend, I loved hanging out and meeting all of the other kids that had my same interest....SOCCER! i was on another TBAYS rec team with some friends in eighth grade but then in ninth grade it was time to try out for the big shebang...the high school team. I was fortunate to make the Varsity team at Traverse City West Senior High as a freshman. Since my freshman year I have played on the team every spring and now am currently a co- captain in my senior year. Through the high school team I have learned so much about soccer, the meaning of team, and friendship. Besides loving to play soccer I also enjoy hobbies such as tennis, snowboarding, sailing, photography and reading. I really enjoy outdoor activities. In ninth and tenth grade I went on a trip with my youth group to Pennsylvania where we went white water rafting both years. I found that experience incredible and can't wait to go again someday soon.
Friends are very important because true friends will always tell you the truth and do anything for you. Obviously you will go through hard times sometime in your life, and having someone who is there for you and completely understands you is essential to get through them. I not only want good friends for the hard times, but also the good. I would love to be able to celebrate my accomplishments with friends who truly care. I want to be able to call someone and go out to a nice lunch, or go shopping without having to seem like a bother. True friends are hard to come by, and I would happy with just one.
I was the average student and athlete at school, I wasn’t known for anything amazing though. The only thing that I notice that stood out from me was that I always had a big heart for other people especially ones who live with a disability. I respect the children to adults that have disabilities and live life to the fullest, I don’t know how they do it. They really know how to live life to the fullest compared to those who have no disabilities. This is a story that tells you how I met the most amazing people and how I became so close to them.
I am a person who is driven to achieve, and help others. The adversity of living in a small town, the frustration of being different, of looking to rise above and realize my own autonomy has helped me grow. The next step in my growth is Harvard. I am also a person who has a strong connection to beauty and art. I have been able to surmount any and all tribulations, and use music as my outlet. Music for me is the manifestation of one's own expression beyond words. Music is something that has always helped me go beyond the status quo and realize who I am and who I want to be.
To sum it all up, it can be difficult to go about life without even a single friend, yet we all seem to manage. Friends get you through all kinds of situations. I wish I could maintain all the friends I currently have, but I realize and understand that the possibility is slight. We live and we learn. We grow in and out of friendships in accordance to our life’s expectancies and changes. Friends briefly touch your heart and some will stay longer than others. Personality and its uniqueness is everything, because no one wants several of the same friendships, all doing the same thing. With the friendships I have obtained, as long as they respect your beliefs, share the same interest in being your friend, and place all their trust in you; there’s a good friendship just waiting to happen.
My family’s background come from the country of Mexico. I was raised in an environment that follows most of the mexican cultures. My family and have been through many situations, good and bad. During my entire life I have had the opportunity to receives many support from my family. All of the situations i have faced, and the support given, have shaped into the person that I’m today.
There are many valuable things in life like family, sports, school but what about friendship? To live life without friendship is something no one should ever go through. Friendship is a necessity to living a successful life. Friendship occurs when someone is a supporter, gives assistance, and is attached to someone all the while genuinely taking care of them when they are hurt (The definition of friend, 1995-2002). A good and healthy friendship can be defined fro individuals as when someone has his or her own support system, a friend being loyal, and will always have genuine and mutual trust.
I graduated from high school with three best friends and to this day I will never part from them. I met two of them in kindergarten and went to school together all our lives. My other best friend I met her in fourth grade and we hit it off like we knew each other all our lives. I love them so much and would do anything for them and I know they would do the same for me. We argue like family one minute we are mad the next we are laughing with each other again. I know they will always tell me the truth even when I don't want it. They help me through tough times and I appreciate them for it. They are the type of friends to take care of you when you have nowhere to go they will make sure you are fed and
The reasons I came up with is that they help me cope. We do this by talking about the problems that might be going on and they listen to every word you say, they understand everything about you, they accept who you are and they give you advice about things that you might need help with. They are always there for you even when you don't want them to be there. You can also enjoy spending time with them because they can always make you laugh and make you feel better. Friends are important to me because we are able to bring up any topic that might comes to ours mind. Not only do we help each other cope with day to day situations but we enjoy each others company and have a lot of
Good friends are wonderful. They're there to support you and to help you. They make you laugh and feel good. I'm lucky, I have three very good friends. Sure, I have lots of other friends. But these three people, I would take a bullet for.
I am that one friend that will go to the end of the earth for a friend. I am a person that strongly believes in my goals and values and a person that wouldn't change for anyone. I am a caring but yet shy person. With my life experiences and my morals and values in place, and my confidence in myself being so high but not being to cocky, I am able to be the person I am today.
