Who Am I
You asked me to define who I am which makes me chuckle a little. I simply cannot define myself; everything else does. The way that I perceive myself does not define how everyone else in the world defines me. I guess you can say that the universe defines who I am and what I live for. We were all born and created for the same purpose. God himself gives us the opportunity to find out what that purpose is. When finding what that purpose may be, to me, is the only way to truly define who you are.
I am that one friend that will go to the end of the earth for a friend. I am a person that strongly believes in my goals and values and a person that wouldn't change for anyone. I am a caring but yet shy person. With my life experiences and my morals and values in place, and my confidence in myself being so high but not being to cocky, I am able to be the person I am today.
I am that one person that hates the saying, “I am trying to find myself.” because I know what my identity is, it just needs to be unraveled a little bit more. Lucky for me, what I want to be and do in life helps me unravel my identity a tad bit more. I want to be a dermatologist. Maybe not a M.D. but possibly a physicians assistant. I will work hard as I always do and will never give up my dream because giving up is not my forte.
I am that one person that would never give up. I strive and I will find to the end of the earth for what I want. I do not give up. Even if problems approach me and stumble across my path to success, I pick my chin up, and I continue on that same road. Problems are only temporary. There will always be a solution so I should never give up. Giving up shows weakness. You can’t be weak and be successful.
I am consistently maturing...

...ose flaws are also another key factor that makes you who you are. Flaws or imperfections make people independent and different. I hear girls saying, “Oh, I want to be just like that girl! She’s so perfect and beautiful!” Little do those girls know is what or how that person is on the inside. They could be the coldest, mean spirited person that you can ever meet. Or they can be that one person that would never turn their back on you. Many people in the world judge others so easily. You never know. That one person that you are judging, can be your best friend one day or even your spouse or coworker.
If I were to look into a mirror, and the mirror shows what makes me who I am, I often question myself as to would I dare to look or would I love what makes me, well, me. I never fear death or dying. I only fear never trying. I am whatever I am and only God can judge me.
Giving up shows a lack of self-respect and self-worth. Each time we push through adversity, we become stronger and more capable of dealing with the next adverse situation. Adversity in life is an inevitability and as such, pushing through those hardships build our soul’s armor and our ability to overcome. Never give up!
Like every other human being, I have my strengths and weaknesses. I know that I am not a perfect person, and that makes me who I am now. I continually strive to develop and grow myself as a person.
We are not born knowing everything about ourselves; it is a daily learning process. Some live their lives vicariously through others, while some yearn to learn themselves. So, with all this being said, how do you see yourself?
To continue on there are always two options, just give up or keep on pushing until the goal has been reached. The people that decide to just quit most likely have a fixed mindset, while the people that don’t give up have a growth mindset. Eduardo Briceno discusses that when obtaining a growth mindset, setbacks don’t take a toll on the person, they will continue to press on until the goal has been reached. Briceno’s point is that when you realize that anything is possible, then you bring yourself to new levels. Overall having a growth mindset allows people to complete any realistic goal that they
It is a difficult and long process to find yourself. Erickson tells us that is is a natural stage in life to question who you are. Everyone goes through it, regardless of age, sex, race, or time. Take Chang Yu-i for example. She pulled good experiences in her life, such as having unbound feet and getting some education, and used them to help form who she was becoming But she also took the experiences she did not like, such as discontinuing her education as such a young age to get married, and accepted them as part of who she was. She grew up strong, and eventually became her own person.
In terms of my personal identity, I would say that based on my experiences throughout my life, I considered myself to be hard working, especially when it comes to pursuing my goals; honest; generous, I like taking
I consider myself to have great character, I embrace my culture and celebrate the differences within everyone that ironically brings us closer. I have a positive attitude that comes in handy when communicating with others. I believe in the idea that each person shapes their own destiny. This means that I recognize the importance in always doing my best, so that I may shape my life into being what I want it to be.
people will give up. The true heroes in this world are those who don't give up
It's very hard for me to describe myself but this, I guess, is difficult for everybody. I think I'm a relatively thoughtful and quiet person,
Not knowing who I was for many years led to a series of bad decisions and choices. However I began to notice that I had a gift, a talent of making others feel good and found myself wanting to be an emboldening model for others. Often my friends and family looked to me for advice and answers. I later realized that it was not about giving advice but helping them find the answer that are locked away in their subconscious mind. Helping them discover who they were; the irony I discovered who I was, my life purpose, my calling.
Personally, I consider myself as an adoring, kind-hearted and determined person. I’m respectful and caring to everyone around me. I pursue my goals to the end and I never rest until I accomplish them. I 'm confident that my companions would depict me as a compassionate and kind individual. I believe others see me as a steadfast individual who is obliging of others. They would also consider me competitive since I am aggressive when in pursuit of a target. My coworkers think of me as a problem solver, because I am very logical. I am also humble and generous. I love to give back to those in need. My friends view me as a free spirit, creative and imaginative person. They also see me as being very sociable and outgoing. I’m huge
I know who I am, and I believe I even began realizing as a young girl. My mother would always tell me how beautiful and lovely I am, on the inside and out, as well as who and who’s I am. Referring to our walk of faith, my mother would tell me I am a daughter of Jesus Christ, and would continually remind me of who I am in him. I keep all these memories with me to this day, and I walk with confidence, boldness and overflowing joy. I know the world has many terrible things occurring in it; I am not oblivious to this, but I have hope. My family and friends are always encouraging and challenging me to be the best young woman of God I can be. This is a deep desire of mine too, as well as a large part of why I am who I am, and why I find it important to continue life this way. As the quiz says about my color, I am continually encouraging others, seeking harmonious relationships, and enjoying the “little things” in life. All of these things, and more, helped shape my perception, how I see myself, and how I now communicate and interact with others. It is a challenging journey at times, but if someone were to ask me if I would change a thing, I would say absolutely
Do you know yourself? If you were to look in the mirror right now could you see the image of you staring back? If you were standing in front of God right now could you explain to Him who you are? If you were to write a paper right and answer the prompt: “Who are you” could you do it?
In the end, no matter what may be said about me, I know that I am some what of an abstract project. I continue to grow everyday and discover new factors that define me. I know what I stand for. I love myself, and the people around me. They don't create me, or make me who I am, but they do help be define myself
As I read through the Thinking Philosophically box in our text, the first question that comes up is, “What is a self?” It is wonderful to start off with an easy question, right? Well, Wikipedia defines the self as the subject of one’s own experience of phenomena: perceptions, emotions, thoughts ("Self," 2014). A standard dictionary definition is a person’s essential being that distinguishes them from others, especially considered as the object of introspection or reflexive action; and a person’s particular nature or personality; the qualities that make a person individual or unique ("Oxford dictionary," 2014). Don’t you feel more enlightened already?
