A Trip to Rapid City!!! My two friends and I had a very fun time at Rapid City. After planning for about a week now, we had a rough start. I waited for approximately 45 minutes for George and Michael to get to my house, and I was really tired. I couldn’t sleep well last night, and it was raining, too, but eventually it cleared up. My friends finally arrived, so we could get going. I was really shocked that they came here by foot, since they could’ve taken a vehicle, and our houses weren’t that close to each other. Michael said he would drive. I was quite happy I didn’t have to drive. Again, I was really tired, and I’m usually the one that drives. George wanted to stop at a gas station to get something before we went, and then after that, we were on our way. It was a pretty long drive. We had to go through Sturgis to get there. While we were there, we stopped for a bathroom break. Once we got there, we went to a movie. We watched “Game Night” over there. It was pretty funny. It was pretty long, like 4 hours. It was really bright outside when we came out. When we checked the time, it was 10 minutes to 1. …show more content…
We went to Golden Corral, which was our favorite place to eat. I had at least 4 pizzas and a couple pieces of chicken. Michael wasn’t that hungry. He just had 1 pizza and 2 chicken legs. George, on the other hand, was very hungry. He had 3 pieces of chicken, 6 pizzas, and 4 orange slices. We weren’t hungry anymore, so then we left out the money for the waitress and got into the
When Maddie thinks of eating pizza at a restaurant, similar to most people, she thinks of Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut has always been known as one of the leading pizza restaurants because it is spread across the country. Almost anyone can say that they have eaten pizza from there before including Maddie. However, there is another pizza restaurant that is starting to shove its foot into the pizza industry. That restaurant is Pizza Ranch. Pizza Ranch has only begun spreading its roots across the United States, therefore, it is not as widely known as Pizza Hut. In Maddie’s opinion, Pizza Ranch is a better restaurant than Pizza Hut because it has some of the many traits that make up an excellent restaurant. The most important reason that Maddie loves pizza ranch is because it is a friendly environment. From the first minute someone walks through Pizza Ranch’s door to the last, guests are treated like family. Another reason that Maddie enjoys pizza ranch is Buffet Your Way. Buffet Your Way allows Maddie to order anything that she wants and not have to pay any more money for it if she is eating the buffet. This is one of the best features of Pizza Ranch that puts it above Pizza Hut. Furthermore, Pizza Ranch always has a clean environment because the workers care about how the place looks. This restaurant also is more efficient about getting food to its customers than Pizza Hut. However, some people might argue that Pizza Hut has better tasting pizza than Pizza Ranch. Although Pizza Hut is one of the most popular Pizza restaurants, Pizza Ranch is a better restaurant because it has a friendly atmosphere, Buffet Your Way, a clean environment, and fast service.
I wonder if I should I start calling Las Vegas, Nevada home now. I’ve traveled back and forth from California to Las Vegas since I was a child. I can remember at the age of thirteen my family and I would take family weekend trips very often. By the age of seventeen I was forced to move to Vegas for 6 months right before my senior year of high school started. Since it was my last year of high school my parents decided to let me go back to California for the last three months and graduate with my friends. Since I wasn’t eighteen yet, I forced to go back to Las Vegas right the day after graduation.
“Momma!” I whined across the room, “I’m starving.” She always hates when I whine at her, I do it now just to grind her gears. She was lying on the couch so I laid my head on her lap and naming of foods that sounded good to me.
As our practice ends early, my three best friends have the idea of going to go eat out, which seemed like a good idea, I let them decide where they wanted to go and of course no one would make a vote for where they wanted to go. Finally, Beth made the decision of going to McDonalds. When I hear her option, I slightly cringe because I don’t really go there often, since no one makes any other suggestions I drove to McDonalds. As I park the car, we all get out and go into the fast food restaurant and we remain there standing and waiting for one of us to make the first order. I see that the cashier is new to her job because there was another lady there trying to guide her in what she was doing.
Because of some of the circumstances that make me who I am, it is hard to say I have any one definitive home. Instead, I have had two true homes, ever since I was a young child. What makes this even more of a conundrum is that my homes have always had little in common, even though they are only a few hundred miles apart. Between the big city of Houston, Texas, and the small town of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, I have grown up in two very different towns that relate to one another only in the sense that they have both raised me.
It had been a week since John had gotten moved back to the orphanage, a week since he had to start sleeping on a poorly made air mattress that was half way deflated by the time he woke up in the morning for breakfast. He did have to admit it, John missed the comfortable mattress he was able to sleep on back at his old foster care home. It had been a week since the organization started its hunt to find John a more permanent home, and had no luck. John honestly wanted them to give up and let him just stay here with Mark, who was currently packing up his belongings to head to his new foster home, but then he remembered his and Tammy’s conversation in the main office. Mark noticed his friend’s down attitude and decided to take him somewhere out
The anticipation of this day had been building up for some time over that last few months, and now it was upon me at last. I didn’t feel the same excitement I had leading up to this moment, I even kind of grumbled to myself about how I wished the bus was bigger so that I would be more comfortable. We all had our assigned seats, but no one seemed to be where they were supposed to be. The anxiousness of getting to Colorado was causing a great deal of confusion, chaos, and stress. The noise of everyone carrying on and yelling could be compared to the way a screaming crowed sounds at an AC/DC concert.
Two TV dinners and three pot pies in the freezer. Day four, got tight. Day five: Dasia and Gabe split the final pot pie. Quan didn’t eat anything. Gabe complained that he was still hungry, so Quan gave him the slice of crap pizza he’d smuggled from school.
The plane ride was 5 Hours long. Nate watched a documentary on World War 2. Ben Watched real madrid vs Fc Barcelona. They both decided to play splitscreen on Battlefield 1. They Got hungry so they both had a Burger. By the time they finished eating it was time to go. So they got off the plane and went into the
I made it to Big Lots, where Jonathan works, and I forced him to come outside and look at my car. Then we sat and talked for a while and I bragged about how I was going to my grandma’s house to eat a good home-cooked meal, while he would be forced to eat fast food again. When I left Big Lots, I still had a little time before church let out, so I drove back to Gray to the Dollar Store for some supplies for a Spanish class project I was doing that week. Finally I pulled into my grandparents’ driveway, and I noticed the door was closed. I thought this was unusual because I knew my grandpa was home, but I had forgotten a school fundraiser form for my aunts to look at, so I turned around and drove back home to Jonesborough. While driving home my friend Rachel and her mother were behind me, they followed me all the way to my house. I thought it was some kind of joke, but when we pulled into my driveway, Rachel yelled, “Get in the car! They had to take your grandma to the hospital.”
I was sitting in a poorly lit booth at my favorite pizza place. It was not as crowded as usual, because nobody was in town this weekend. A waiter walked by with a cheese pizza that was so hot you could see the thin lines of steam coming up from it. I was hoping he would come to my booth, but instead he walked to the booth next to me. I was so upset because I could hear my stomach grumbling. Actually, I was so hungry I would have eaten a rock! I couldn’t wait for my pizza anymore. Then the waiter came back to my booth with my order. I was so thrilled. I took a slice of pizza off of the pizza platter. “Ouch!” I yelped. It was extremely hot. I waited for it to cool off, but it was really tempting to grab a slice. Finally,
Meanwhile, my meal at Subway is just half of Schlotzsky’s price. Because of the price, I may not go to Schlotzsky’s as much as I would like to. The other day, me and my boyfriend Cody planned on going to dinner and a movie. Since we are both obsessed with Schlotzsky’s, it was a given that Schlotzsky’s was where we were going. We like to alternate who pays for us. For example, if he bought dinner, I would pay for the movie. We are usually pretty fair and figure things out without a problem. However, that day was a little different. We actually argued over paying for the movie. Because the movie would be eighteen dollars, it was a little cheaper than Schlotzsky’s for two. Although the price is only about a four-dollar difference, neither one of us wanted to pay four more dollars. After all, we are poor college kids. In contrast, I never have a money problem at subway. My meal at Subway is typically around five dollars. I was on campus the other day and needed some lunch. I had left my wallet at home and only had a little cash in my backpack. I don’t usually eat on campus, so I was not aware of the cost of most places. To avoid not being able to pay I walked to the Subway across from the Performing Arts Center. I ordered my sandwich and had just enough cash to pay. Subway is one of the few restaurants, I can get a meal for under five dollars, that I actually enjoy
shrug it off, "Pizza, big deal, what else do we have to eat?" This same loss of
Blue Ginger is a small restaurant that serves Sushi; Sushi is far out of my comfort zone. Sushi is a Japanese cuisine that usually contains rice, seafood, and some type of vegetable. The one thing on the menu that didn’t involve rice and seafood was chicken nuggets. I, being safe with my order, ordered chicken nuggets. All of his family ordered some type of Sushi roll and they all wanted me to try it. With that being said, I’ve never been okay with trying new foods because I know if I don’t like it, I won’t eat it. Although it was Casey’s birthday, the focus was on me. As we all sat around the table, the pressure was on to try this new food. Looking around, I realized if I wanted everyone's eyes to migrate off of me, I had to try this Sushi
As usual I woke up to the sound of my father pounding on my bedroom door, hollering, “Get up! Get on your feet! You’re burning daylight!” I met my brother in the hallway, and we took our time making it down the stairs, still waking up from last night’s sleep. As we made our way to the kitchen, I thought about what to have for breakfast: fried eggs, pancakes, an omelet, or maybe just some cereal. I started to get hungry. As usual, mom and dad were waiting in the kitchen. Mom was ready to cook whatever we could all agree on, and dad was sitting at the table watching the news. The conversation went as usual, “Good morning.” “How are you today?”
