At first, I was thinking Administrative Professional but, my heart is steering me towards Human Resources Generalist. I have been taking classes for the Administrative Professional and was going back and forth and couldn’t decide. Most of the classes I have taken can be used for both goals. I was trying to avoid Human Resources because of the math class that is a requirement because I’m scared of math. After talking with the counselor and telling her that I enjoyed dealing with employees by handing out pay checks to employees, made employee schedules, photo-copied and handed out to employee’s schedules, filing employee records and handing them vacation slips, printing out forms for what the employees needed, and looking up answers in the policy
My Human Resource Management class helped me to learn some of the different issues that I could be facing in a Human Resource position. I believe that I will be able to use what I learned to appropriately address these issues when faced with them. More Work

...ng would be good. Many meeting are hold his this job as well for learning new way of doing things. You go to college to learn most of everything you need to know. You could maybe move up if you wanted to, and learning more.
The career path I’m most interested in is counseling psychology, specifically mental health counseling. My interest in counseling began my freshmen year of high school when I had to do a project on what I wanted my future career to be. At the time, I had no idea what I wanted to do and a family friend suggested I look into music therapy. That sparked my interest in going into the psychology field and once I thought about how much of an impact I could make in people’s lives by doing counseling, I’ve never wanted to do anything else.
I come in here and do what I'm asked without hesitation, I am always a team player. I don't complain about things, I am always respectful and professional to my co-workers and our patients. Everything that I wanted to do this year have been placed on hold because of this. I didn't plan on being a Front Office Assistant forever. Whenever something happens in this office you can ask my manager I am always trying to think of the bigger picture and find ways to improve things here. The accusations that were brought against me are totally not my character. Take some time to ask the people I work with on the daily.
Along with creating steps which will lead me towards my ultimate career goal, the creation of a specific five-year plan for myself was key. In five years I will be in school, hopefully in my final year of my Masters degree; a plan which seems so simple to achieve, however requires an extensive amount of hard work and dedication. Being so far in my academic career already, I will hopefully have worked in summer internships or been employed during the year by a speech-language pathologist or various health institutions to gain experience in the profession and potentially become full time employed by one of these institutions post-graduation. Within the five years, I will have as well established networks and built relationships with multiple
This career option as an assessment employer for the child protective services could possibly be a long-term career option. Although, I do not believe I would want this as my long-term career goal. Choosing to work directly out of college would also allow myself to gain experience within the field which would improve the possibility of getting a better job or getting into graduate school. If I was hired and I did accept the position within five years my goal would be to continue working while attending school to further mu education. I would continue to work to gain more experience as well as helping me get through school by paying off my tuition. I would not leave this job until I graduate and had another job lined up.
My chosen profession is Healthcare Administration. Healthcare Administrators plan, direct, and coordinate health and medical services in many organizations. They are responsible for administering the financials, managing personnel, maintaining boards, analyzing facility activities, and planning programs (11-9111.00 - Medical and Health Services Managers, n.d.). Depending on specific occupation acquired, several different softwares can be learned. Skills such as administration, customer service, human resources, and accounting are imperative for this career as interacting with people is the majority of this job. It entails reading, speaking, actively listening, critical thinking, and decision making (11-9111.00 - Medical and Health Services
Although I credit my uncle with inspiring my initial decision, my constantly growing interest in this field and desire to continue my education has grown from two sources: the Industrial Relations faculty at LeMoyne and my vocation as a martial arts instructor for almost five years. From my professors, I have learned the practical side of my intended profession: the multitude of laws protecting worker's rights in the workplace, procedures for collective bargaining and arbitration, and how compensation systems function. My job, on the other hand, has helped me acquire the "people" skills that are crucial to being an effective H.R. manager. In the course of a normal workday, I must communicate with a diverse group of people ranging in age from three to seventy-two years old. Each student has unique needs and goals that I must identify and pay attention to. I must constantly evaluate students and give them constructive feedback, walking that fine line between support and criticism. At the same time, I delegate tasks to the less senior instructors and class helpers, while helping them improve their teaching skills. It is challenging and constantly educational. These two sources, my professors and my job, have succeeded in transforming a disinterested college freshman into a senior who has a focused career path.
As a resident adviser (RA) on campus, I am required to stay later and complete room checks for my floor before the start of each break. Back in March, I signed the offer and one of the conditions is that I am required to be available on specific dates in order to perform certain duties. Additionally, the job puts a strong emphasis on prioritizing the RA position and because the terms were clear in the contract and we received it well in advanced, we were held accountable to their dates and duties (unless there is a case of emergency).
Almost in every career psychology is used therefore it becomes important to be able to link it to the career path. As a psychiatric nurse there are numerous topics that tie in to this career choice. This is probably one of the most demanding fields where the knowledge of psychology is essential. Law and psychology, schizophrenia is significant topics that connect to my career.
... those roles are focusing on recruitment, employee performance management benefits, compensation, training and retention in an organization. In health care facilities the individual in charge of the Human Resources department will most likely report to one of the organization’s two top executive; the President or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or the Executive Vice President or Chief Operating officer (COO).Most of today’s health care Human Resources function report to the top executive.
In leadership, fifty volunteer hours were required per semester. When I learned of this requirement, I was ready to bail on the class because all my spare time was consumed with sports and friends. Mrs. Barham encouraged me to start participating in “Walking Wednesday”. “Walking Wednesday” is a program where high school students get teamed up with an elementary school. On Wednesday mornings we would meet at a place about 1 mile from the school and walk to school with the elementary students. This program encouraged physical fitness and also gave the younger students time with older students they could look up to. I’m not going to lie, I had mixed feelings about it in the beginning, but by Christmas break I loved it and was the unofficial
The normal title for the job that I chose is a “Chartered Accountant”. The job of a chartered accountant is to provide accounting and business advice to companies and individuals. Chartered accountant may also provide information to clients on tax planning, personal financial planning, corporate finance, and information technology (Job Description). The major skills required for a chartered accountant are communications skills, computer skills, and listening skills. A chartered accountant needs communication skills, as they need to talk with their clients, and need to be able to effectively tell the client the advice they are giving. A chartered accountant needs to have computer skills, as they are constantly making calculations using a computer and using different programs to display financial information properly to their clients. Finally, a chartered accountant needs to have good listening skills, as they must give proper and full attention to what the client is saying, without interrupting unnecessarily in between (Do You Have it in You to Become a Chartered Accountant?). Personal abilities to have that are beneficial are strong interpersonal skills. This is because chartered accountants always have to communicate and be social with their clients. They are constantly put in a position where they have to share their expertise with companies and clients. So strong interpersonal skills are important so that they can effectively communicate information with their clients. Also, knowledge of computer programs for auditing and financing is a good personal aptitude to have.
