I was awoken to a loud knock on the door Then all of a sudden we were pushed to the floor They yelled at us and made us pack our bags We were given yellow star shaped tags If we don't get out of here we will die My dad tells me to defy The train whistles to a stop I just want to go back to my workshop Dad says we have to stay united I just saw someone get smited The guard tells yells and yells Once the train stops we hear loud bells Once off the train we are told to take off our clothes My dad got transferred to another train mom just froze Once our clothes are off we got striped pajamas Outside the fence- kids playing and the general’s Mama The general comes and tells the guard to give us showers The allies are coming to destroy the towers
I had got some sleep when Boom!!!. “What's wrong” I cry out hoping for an answer. It never comes. I run out to the hall with my belongings. “Hey lady” I hear from behind me.
Strange things began to happen the next couple days. First, Joey was in the living room of Grandma’s house making a jig saw puzzle. He heard the sound of a horses hooves walking slowly on the street then the sound stopped in front of the house and heard someone put something in Grandma’s mail box. Joey heard the horse walk away and a little while later Grandma’s mailbox blew up. Next, Ms. Wilcox’s outhouse was destroyed by a cherry bomb. Then, a dead mouse was found floating in the bottle of milk that was delivered to the front
I remember the shriek, a blood curdling shriek that tore at your eardrums. My initial thought was that someone had gotten hurt very badly but i remember everyone staring at me and i felt a presence behind me, i saw people running away and i immediately turned around to face a very pale looking man, almost like a corpse. He had blood stained teeth and dark circles around his eyes. i remember that day so clearly, it was terrifying, the man's eyes were black, pure black, and he had bite wounds up his arms, human bite wounds... i was only looking at him for a second but it felt like ages, after the second passed i remember standing up and running across to the other end of the room, everyone was running out of the cafe. Back then i didnt know what was going on but the man was a zombie, the woman that shrieked, she was his victim, i saw her on the ground that day, she was laying on the ground with bite wounds. back then i had no idea that she was going to turn into a zombie, but that woman did, she was bitten, if you get bitten then you shift into one of them. I don't know how the apocalypse started but that day was the first day anyone in ireland had ever seen a zombie. It was all over the news, every where, they kept saying get to shelter, it seemed like zombies were everywhere after that day, the virus spreaded so quickly. I remember packing my bags,i packed essentials
Darkness was closing in, but I knew I couldn’t let the Germans kill the group. Using every ounce of strength I had, I picked up my rifle and began to shoot. The Germans were falling left and right, but they has spotted me. The Germans turned and began to fire. Fire then a sharp pain in my arm. I looked down at the blood gushing out of my arm when I jolted back. I had been shot in the other shoulder. I could only see shapes now. I began to fire into the sky I couldn’t control my hand. Hot lead pierced my throat, and I began to shake. Everything went dark except a light at the end of the tunnel. I went into the light and everything was silent I had finally found peace.
Growing up as an only child I made out pretty well. You almost can’t help but be spoiled by your parents in some way. And I must admit that I enjoyed it; my own room, T.V., computer, stereo, all the material possessions that I had. But there was one event in my life that would change the way that I looked at these things and realized that you can’t take these things for granted and that’s not what life is about.
A calm crisp breeze circled my body as I sat emerged in my thoughts, hopes, and memories. The rough bark on which I sat reminded me of the rough road many people have traveled, only to end with something no one in human form can contemplate.
We still did not have a way to get all the way to where we were going so we decided to walk along the gloomy road with a weird smell, until we found a shop or something that we can get a car from. We looked back only to see that Jack and Preston were no longer with us, we did not know where they went we did not even hear a sound. We started screaming their names but their was no answer and they were nowhere to be found. There was only Jacari, Abby, Sam, Nolan, Riley, Tyson and I left and we had nowhere to go, we were too far from home and Jacari still have not told us where we're going. It was really late and dark we all just wanted to get home already, we were the only people walking staggered in a line and it was very quiet until we heard a noise coming from the
Personal Narrative There lay her limp body staring up at us. Her cold eyes were no longer
Leaving the bodies for last we walked down the drive to take a look. Several rifles and shotguns were leaned carefully again the big oak. Two handguns and some knives were on the grass in front of them. Four people dangled from a branch of the tree close enough to each other to bump like a weird wind chime. A young couple and the other twice their age at a guess from the gray hair and styles of dress. They were probably parents and a married son or daughter with their spouse. Other than being hung there were no injuries apparent on any of the four. From the condition of the bodies they had been dead about a day.
On the Monday October 27th, 2014, for the first time in 4 years I did not wake up at 5:30 in the morning, I was not putting on a green skivvy shirt and shorts. There was no formation, no one that was higher command I had to report to, telling me where I had to go, what time I had to eat breakfast, what was I doing this day or what our platoon plans were for the day. There were no PT (physical training) I had to do this morning. Instead, I woke up grab a regular t-shirt, khaki shorts, and my two sea bags full of clothing and gear that I collected during my time in the Marine Corps. I threw everything in my vehicle and drove from Camp Pendleton, California to Quincy, Illinois. Within two weeks I was accepted to Southern Illinois University Carbondale. For three days, I stayed at the
As I walk into Hazen and begin my high school journey I think to myself what I want to accomplish when I leave. Hazen is like the older sister I never had, someone who you hate occasionally, but look up to and pushes you to achieve your personal goals. As I walk through those Highlander doors I was immediately surrounded by the brightest minds, talent, and innovative bunch of my generation. Each one unique and each one having something special to offer, and I soon realized that I want to leave high school like I was never leaving. By making the most out of my high school experience I want to gain maturity and the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference in my school and community. By becoming a member of the National
It was all fun and games until we heard the sirens. We went to the cops terrified that we were in so much trouble but we didn't know why, once the police told us we did nothing wrong, we all learned a very important lesson. Ask for permission before you do things. It was a bright sunny summer day in August and my friends and I went down to CMH high school to play football. Me and my friend were captains and we picked out teams. A couple of touchdowns later we heard the sirens “Wee-Woo Wee-Woo”,we were scared out of our minds.
Every student dreams of going to college, but once you are enrolled it’s a challenge to achieve the goal of getting the degree. Weather it has been a friend, family member, or even a neighbor they have their ways of handling the conundrum. My friend Kevin, recently graduated this past year, started of in Middlesex for two years, and then he transferred to Rutgers to finish his career. He graduated from Rutgers and now is an accounting major. Kevin is amiable, hardworking, and deft. During his time at Middlesex and Rutgers, he had a job at Apple, went to the gym, participated in many fundraisers, and volunteer at hospitals. All these task that he did engendered an issue. The issue it created was that he had no time to do anything. He would
I awoke suddenly the plane shook violently! The plane fell out the sky and sliding across the ground. I rose from my seat and saw the loss of life everywhere as I wandered down the aisle it was the most horrifying thing I had ever witnessed. I reached the back of the plane and opened the remnants of the door. I exited the plane and was blinded by thick black smoke. I held my shirt to my mouth and took a deep breath and sprinted. I put my head down and did not turn back until the smoke disappeared. The strong plane I was in earlier shattered into pieces of scrap it was a ghastly scene. I looked at my phone, it had died on me. I was clueless to what was wrong with it, seemed fine. I sat down rested against a tree, I looked at my watch it...
You bolt upright in your bed and scream. As you calm down, you realize that it was only a nightmare.
