My short-term personal goals are to lose weight and strengthen every aspect of my life, whether it is physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and mental. I developed my short-term personal goals before 2016 started because I wanted to have a resolution for the upcoming year and wanted to renovate myself as a whole. I plan to achieve my goal of losing weight by monitoring my diet such as limiting my intake of sodas and other unhealthy food like chips. Moreover, in order for me to strengthen every aspect of my life, I plan to exercise more often, surround myself with happy people, spend more time with God through prayer, interact and hang out more often with my friends and family, and learn to prioritize and schedule important events or activities so I can refrain from procrastination.
My long-term personal goal is to buy my parents a big house that I've always dreamed of because I want to return the favor and give them a luxurious life that they are well-deserving of with all the hard work that they've put in just to provide food, clothes, and other necessities for the family. I plan to achieve that goal by completing my studies and becoming a dentist. As I've mentioned earlier, the hard work that my parents have

I intend to achieve these goals by studying hard and focusing on my studies in my final semester of high-school and college. I developed these goals because I wanted to take the first step in my pursuit of success. My long-term educational/career goal is to complete my bachelor's degree in a prestigious university in the US with honors and pursue my dream of becoming a dentist by attending and completing dental school. In order for me to achieve my long-term educational/career goal, I plan to apply into a university that offers a bachelor's program in relation to my quest of becoming a dentist such as a B.S. in Health
My short term goals academically is to pass all my classes this first semester, and my short term goal professionally is to just continue with my current job of working at target. I work at target 5 days a week and about 35 hours a week. My long term goals academically are to major in criminal justice, and my long term goal professionally is to become a DEA agent.
From an early age, I wanted to have a career where I can help people, good working, and financially stable. That is why I chose Dental Hygiene. My dedication to pursuing my dreams has been tested though the competitive prerequisites that I needed to take before I can get in to the program. I needed to maintain A’s and B’s, in order to qualify to be into the pool of applicants to be chosen. I had 3.4 G.P.A and I was confident that I am going to be accepted.
Granted sometimes things enter our path that delay us, but in order to successfully complete our goals, we must never lose sight of them. I wish to follow and pursue my dreams of becoming a dental hygienist. Being able to further my education at New York University, will further provide fulfillment, both personal and professional. I wish to obtain a degree in dental hygiene and furthermore teach others about proper oral
My short and long-term goals are mainly focused towards bettering myself and enhancing my education to be able to better care for people. I believe there is always room for improvement in everything that we do and one should always keep that in
“Never underestimate your own strength. You were born for a purpose and are blessed with the power to achieve it” (Leon Brown). I have this quote printed out and on the wall next to my door so I can see it every day as a reminder to myself. I believe that we all have a purpose on this earth and that everything we go through on the journey there has a reason whether to teach a lesson or set an example. We have places where we want to end up and goals we want to achieve. We set these goals and dreams to help us fulfill the purpose we see for ourselves. I believe my purpose is to help people in their times of need. To fulfill my purpose, I will need to use my personal, academic and career goals to create a pathway to get to where I want to be
Life has no meaning without goals. In order to succeed setting goal is very important. Without setting goals there would be nothing to look forward to, or even have anything to achieve. Goals are a vital aspect of our lives. It gives a sense of self-confidence. I believe without goals life would just be a plain and no excitement at all. Long-term and short-term goals are intertwined and work similarly to build a house from ground up. I vision myself become a radiologist within the next three to five years. This is my present long-term goal. To achieve my long term goal I have two short term goals, first to get good grades in prerequisites courses and second to complete my grad school program with "A" grade minimum, because graduating with good grades is the stepping stone for my long-term goal.
THE NORNS The concept of three women who together determine destiny is present throughout many different cultures. From the Moirai of Greek mythology, who shared among them one eye, to the witches in Shakespeare’s Macbeth who were commonly referred to as the Wyrd Sisters, the three fates are a seemingly universal archetype. Norse mythology personifies fate using this same archetype, with three women depicted as controlling the fate of all living things. In the glossary of Neil Gaiman’s book, Norse Mythology, they are defined thusly.
Motivation is defined as the process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviours. Motivation is what causes us to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. Goal Setting is where we set specific targets aims that we wish to achieve, they need to be S.M.A.R.T or else they become dreams rather than believable goals. .
What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.
In the back of my head my goal has always been to be able to sustain my family, if for what ever reason my husband was not able to. I am taking advantage of the fact that my husband works full time and I only do part time work or temporary assignments from temp agencies, making it my priority to get my certificate. Once that is done I will work on my personal goal which is buying a nice home for myself and my family. A while ago I told my self that I would buy a house by the time I'm 35, I still have a few years to my 35th birthday so in the mean time I am working on all the academic study, so that I can get my certificate, get a steady full time job and finally buy the home that my family and I have been
Out of everything that we 've learned this quarter, goal setting was something that stood out to me. There are a few times where I set a goal in my head but end up never achieving them, wether it was something very simple or more of a long term goal. A technique that stood out to me in our notes is, writing down your goals. I don 't I 've ever written down a single goal that I 've had. In class and in our notes we talked about how it is important to write down your goals and how you cannot just write the general idea of your goal, but how you need to be very specific in what it is you want to achieve. I think that in college it 's very important to set long, mid, and short term goals because somedays will be harder than others and you need
Many people tend to set goals. They can set goals for their personal life, academics, or even for their professional lives. You can literally set a goal for pretty much anything you can imagine. I believe that people should set goals, they help you stay focused and want to do better for the future. Goals change all of the time though, because of a lot of different reasons, maybe you found that one thing just really is not what you want to do with your life, so you find something else to do. To me that is just how life is, my goals will most likely change as I am getting older and trying to find what I want to do with the rest of my life.
Achieving any goal requires self-discipline. It involves a conscious awareness of our actions and the ability to overcome some of the bad habits that might be holding us. Instilling self- discipline into our lives is not easy task.
When planning for our future it is important to have clear goals in mind and to understand the steps that need to be taken to achieve those goals. My long-term goal is to run my own counseling center and employee at least one other person. Some Skills I already possess that will allow me to succeed with this plan are my ability to relate to people and be consistent in following the steps needed, even though it will be a long and tedious process.
My goals in life are ultimately to achieve success in life. My goals are to also have happiness, prosperity in every area in my life, and the freedom and peace within to be able to carry out my goals. My goals are also heavily influenced on the hardships my parents have had to endure such as facing ridicule for the simple fact of being immigrants, the extremely difficult time they endured due to unemployment and living in poverty, and the low degree of education they received from their countries. My goals are so important to me because I view it as way out of barely getting by, out of a harder life. My goals consist of me being the first person on my mother 's side to ever graduate from middle and high school. My goals also consist of making my parents proud of their daughter, a daughter that will give them a more comfortable life, one that is not filled with such pain. After seeing my mother suffer from a liver infection which caused her to become sick to the point of hospitalization, I promised myself that day I never wanted anyone to feel as sick as my mother did. No one deserves to go through that much suffering. My dream and passion is to study Biology at the GREAT Bethune- Cookman University and to be a doctor who will not only help my community here in America but also for my families in
