Time goes by, competition grows, and I receive more pressure on what I should do in my future. It seems like a simple process of doing good in school, go to a good college, get a degree, get a good job, work until you’re 65, and then retire. I enter a rat race where there is limited enjoyment with freedom. If only 1 to 2% are in the upper class, then they those people most definitely aren’t following this process (Gilbert). If being rich was easy as doing good in school, then many more people would be rich in this country. We are all directed to working good jobs but that is something that I am not looking for. Why not be the person people work for, why not be the person who owns it all. This mentality is what inspires me to be a businessman. …show more content…

It isn’t by coincidence that most of the upper class are businessmen and women (Rauh). I have the flexibility of when to work and how I can carry my business. I want to be in the upper class and if the majority of them are businessmen, then it must indicate that it is rather more trustable way to become rich then to hope that somehow I will get a really high-paying job. These are reasons why I want to be a businessman. One thing I would most definitely need are connections with others who have a similar mentality and know successful people who can help guide me. I believe that this can be achieved by entering a reputable circuit of similar minded people like at a reputable business school. I will also need to be very persistent and determined so I don’t quit and fall into hole where I am stuck not able to do anything successful. I would have to keep persisting as very few achieve success on their first few tries. There are going to many challenges faced on the way to be businessman which have even led others to quit. The countless hours put forth to establish a company are quite intimidating along with rejections from loans and licenses. These all are tied into the challenges and obstacles of being a businessman.
