Perception
Generally, perception is often described as the process by which the individuals selects, organizes and interprets several stimuli into a meaningful and coherent picture of the universe. (M, 2009) Businesses usually invest more in time and money to bring the sensation for their consumer under sensory stimuli including sights, sounds, smells, tastes and touch. There are three stages involved in perceptual process of individual when undergoes selection on products. The first stage will be exposure, which take place when our senses discover some external cue from several things an individual encounter with. (M, 2009) The next stage of perceptual process is attention. It is one of the most important stages that businesses usually concern about as it will affect whether the knowledge of the particular businesses will be delivered to consumer. The final process would be interpretation. In this stage, individuals will tend to analyze the products based on own interests, experiences, motives and reasoning.
Based on the company from article, Epiphone should focus on catching the senses of their consumers as it has great impact towards the business. Usually, first impression is important for individual that does not have contact or knowledge about the business at all. Epiphone should consider having unique and attractive design in musical instruments in order to catch people’s attention. As for the aspect under touch and sound, Epiphone could enhance their materials in manufacturing the musical instruments. Usually, consumers would have sensation feelings when they have the chance to hold and try the physical products. Advertising would be a suitable method to create exposure among the society. They could advertise their music...

...sumers to feel the spirit of the celebrity is available through the brand of Epiphone. Furthermore, the company should consider target more on consumers of high level income. The status achieved by Epiphone will affect the self-esteem of the guitarist. For example, the self-esteem of an individual could become higher when he or she purchased an expensive guitar. This is because the user could turn into a center of attraction within his or her friends and get praised by owning the guitar.
In conclusion, Epiphone should consider the perception, learning and memory, motivation, personality and the self from consumer behavior aspects. These five aspects can help in preventing the company from the declining position that it experienced. It is crucial that proper analysis and approaches should be well planned in order to gain competitive advantage within the industry.
In examining the military history, one can easily find out that the main role of military leaders in the field is to decrease confusion and to guide units to achieve the desired end state. In accomplishing these tasks, Situational Understanding and Visualization have become necessary steps especially in today’s complex environment. This importance legitimates the question about their relationship between these two steps and the challenges facing leaders to achieve situational understanding and visualization. Commander’s visualization depends on Situational understanding. Leader’s success in these two phases remains conditioned by overcoming some challenges related to his bias, time and the efficiency of his staff.
On the 1st of November 2013, I performed my first simulation on the module, Foundation Skills for Nursing. This simulation was on checking for vital signs in patients particularly, measuring the blood pressure (BP) which is the force of blood vessels against the walls of the vessels (Marieb and Hoehn, 2010). We also measured the temperature, pulse and respiratory (TPR) rates of a patient. This simulation’s objective was to engage us in practising some basic observation techniques taken on patients in and out of hospitals and to familiarise us on some of the tasks we will be performing when in practise. I will be applying the “What”, “So what”, and “Now what” model of reflection in nursing by Driscoll (2000).
Process philosophy is known as the idea that everything is changing. Over the years, process philosophy has changed the way humans exist and go about their day to day lives. In order to fully grasp the concept of process philosophy we will first take a closer look at process philosophy, as a whole, its history, and the ideas behind this particular philosophy. Then we will discuss the effects process philosophy has had on marriage and family, followed by a brief commentary.
For the location of my naturalistic observational study I chose a public park with a splash pad which I frequently visit with my daughter. Since this site is quite popular with locals at any given time of the day there are at least over a dozen people present. As the park is designed for the entertainment of children the age group of the people varies. There are young children accompanied by their parents and grandparents as well as teenagers in groups. Therefore the above discussed park proved to be the greatest preference for me to observe the behavior of people in a natural setting.
Firstly, one of the most important focuses would be given to the target customer as we will need to know more about their taste and preferences. What it is they need and or want. Particular topics covering this area will be, the need for ‘Market segmentation’, identifying a competitive position in the market about to enter in the market and studying consumer behaviour, will all be discussed.
Without the combined use of perception, emotion, logic, and language, my ability to pursue knowledge and gain an understanding of the world around me is limited. For me, measuring the success of the pursuit of knowledge is based on the fact that I am able to comprehend knowledge from multiple viewpoints, and not be restricted to a certain way of thinking. In Maslow’s quote, being only restricted to one tool, or way of knowing, is an issue for me to pursue knowledge because of the restrictions and barriers that exist when my focus is only on one way of knowing. In the case of sense perception, I am incapable of processing knowledge when other ways of knowing are neglected. Through this, I propose the following knowledge issue: To what extent is perception a restrictive factor on an individual’s ability to comprehend and pursue knowledge? Because the use of perception is so interlocked with other ways of knowing, such as emotion and logic, the problem exists in the fact that perception is a tool that is dependent on other tools.
Everyone has experienced hearing a language they do not understand. In that context, the words seem to consist of a meaningless series of sounds; this is often ascribed to the listener not knowing the definitions of the vocabulary used. However, in addition to not being familiar with the words said, a person who does not understand the language will hear and process the sounds differently than a native speaker. This fact is partially explained by categorial perception, a perceptual-learning phenomenon in which the categories of different stimuli possessed by an individual affect his or her perception.
... of consumer behaviour, lays emphasis on the objectivity of science and the consumer as a reasonable and sensible decision maker. While, the interpretive point of view is in contrast to that of the positivist, in that it emphasises on the importance of the subjective meaning of the consumers individual experience, hence, it suggest that whichever behaviour a consumer performs is subject to diverse interpretations to a certain extent than just a single explanation to it.
Perception is defined as the process of organizing, interpreting, and selectively extracting sensory information . Visual perception is left to the individual person to make up their own mind. Perceptual organisation occurs when one groups the basic elements of the sensory world into the coherant objects that one perceives. Perception is therefore a process through which the brain makes sense of incoming stimuli.
In contemporary society, musical instruments are perceived by most of people as an instrument which play graceful music or something can help us relax. As a result, there is a trend is appearing during the whole world especially in China which is there are more and more children want to learn musical instrument. According to the survey which held by Sina news in China “Nowadays, there are approximately 50 million children are learning musical instrument in China.” (Han Hongsheng)(citation 1) The number have raised dramatically since 2 years ago. The news also mentioned that “The number of the children who are learning musical instrument become almost twice times larger than one and half years ago.” (Han Hongsheng) (The news was reported in Chinese and I transferred it to English.) (citation 1)We can learn the thing from the news which is children in China are more willing to learn musical instrument in recent years. I think the three main reasons are the awareness of importance of music, the better education system all over the world and more children get interested in learning musical instrument.
The way that each individual interprets, retrieves, and responds to the information in the world that surrounds you is known as perception. It is a personal way of creating opinions about others and ourselves in everyday life and being able to recognize it under various conditions. Each person’s perceptions are used as a kind of filter that every piece of information has to pass through before it determines the effect that it has or will have on the person from the stimulus. It is convincing to believe that we create multiple perceptions about different situations and objects each day. Perceptions reflect our opinions in many ways. The quality of a person’s perceptions is very important and can affect the response that is given through different situations. Perception is often deceived as reality. “Through perception, people process information inputs into responses involving feelings and action.” (Schermerhorn, et al.; p. 3). Perception can be influenced by a person’s personality, values, or experiences which, in turn, can play little role in reality. People make sense of the world that they perceive because the visual system makes practical explanations of the information that the eyes pick up.

A reflex pathway, or a reflex arc, is a neural pathway that is involved in the activation of a reflex. Reflexes are reactions that respond to stimuli. They usually happen without the sensory neurons having to pass directly through the brain. Therefore, reflexes are called involuntary reactions since they happen without a command. This allows the reflex action to occur quickly because the electrical signal can be sent to the spinal cord immediately without needing to go through the brain. The brain receives sensory input as the action occurs, but not before. The human body has lots of reflex pathways. However, if a disruption occurs in these pathways, the person most likely has a certain kind of neurological disorder that will make the person

The research on consumer behavior assists the organization recognize and forecast the purchase behavior of the consumers while they are purchasing a product. Thus, the study of consumer behavior helps the marketers not only to understand what consumer's purchase, but helps to understand why they purchase it (Kumar, 2004). There are a lot of elements which can influence the purchase decision of consumers such as social influences, cultural influences, psychological factors and personal factors (Super Professeur, 2011). Understanding these factors helps the company to market the product on right time to the right consumers in order to generate more profits. On the other hand, if the marketers fail to understand these components that might influence consumers, they will fail to convince the consumers to purchase that product or will fail to meet the demands of consumers. However, consumer behavior is one of the stimulating and challenging areas in marketing studies being a human activity focused on the products and services. Thus understanding the behavior of the consumers is a great challenge. Moreover, it is not easy to get a full picture of consumer behavior as customers make plenty of different buying decision every day and they usually do not know exactly what influences their purchase. In short, basing on all
