You sat on a little chair with a wooden desk attached to it and the teacher wrote on a chalkboard. There were no computers back then so you did everything yourself by hand. You also went to the bathroom out in a little outhouse. Nowadays there is way more science and an unbelievable amount of technology, and computers have totally changed everything. Back in the day my Paw Paw did not follow many trends but there were a few. Bell bottom blue jeans, beetle boots and going to dances and watching little band performances and best of all cars. Cars were definitely his favorite he worked so hard just to buy his first one. A maroon 1950 Ford sedan that was a two door six seater. He only paid one hundred dollars for it. My Paw Paw has definitely kept cars in his blood because now he owns over 29! My favorite time I have spent with my Paw Paw would have to be back in 2009 when he taught me how to tie my shoe. I remember when I first learned how to do it I did it at least one hundred times straight. I was so happy I called just about everyone I knew to tell them what I could do. I must have showed my mom and dad about fifty times! That day was one of the best days of my life and I will never forget that, thanks Paw
Clarence Earl Gideon was born on August 30, 1910 in the state of Hannibal, Missouri. His father’s name was Charles Gideon and his mother’s was Virginia Gideon. In 1913 Charles Gideon died just a few days after the third birthday of Clarence. Virginia remarried a man named Marion Frances Anderson when he was five. After this second marriage Clarence became siblings with Roy E Ogden, his half-sister and a half-brother named Russell Lee Anderson. Clarence thought his step-father was a really good man, despite being uneducated. This was, of course, the case until Clarence reached the eighth grade of school in Hannibal. His...

Duane Earl Pope was born on February 8, 1943 in Roxbury, Kansas. He grew up on a 160-acre farm in Roxbury, the northeast part of McPherson County, Kansas. He was one of eight children. He was athletic and shy as a child, fascinated with tractors and guns. He had no deviant past or childhood; excluding parking tickets and one minor traffic violation, there is no evidence that he had any run-ins with law enforcement. The family was large but did not always have the best relationships due to having to work the farm together. Left out from the media, Pope grew up with a semi-abusive father. His father was not always physically abusive, just instructive and aggressive.
Do you have a very important memory that you are sure will never leave your head? Well, um.. I do! This memory that i’m about to tell you about is very, very important to me. Every year we used to go to my Pawpaw’s for thanksgiving. It was so much fun. We would all get to his house and go inside. My Pawpaw basically lived in his garage! When we would get to his house, guess where he was! His garage! We would go say hi and what for more people to get to his house. My Mawmaw would make the best food ever! When more people got to there house we would go inside and eat. They had two tables and the kids would sit at one and the adults would sit at the other one. Well, it was time to get my food. I got my food. One thing that I got was mashed potatoes

As I sat down with Jordan Fisher, on April 30th, we looked out the window to a gloomy, rainy day. It was wet and nasty day, but Jordan agreed to sit down with me to discuss his position as an HR officer. Jordan started with the Federal Government, 30 years ago at the age of 20. Now 50 Jordan is looking forward to retiring with his wife, stating “I enjoy it here, I really do—but I can’t wait to retire.” While Jordan plans to work for one more year before retiring, the knowledge and experience that he has gained from the position will never leave him. Jordan has been a very successful H.R. official because he has integrity, used effective communication and proper documentation.

Although we started to live with our new family June 4, 2004, we officially got adopted on February 18, 2005. This family was very ice and made us feel like we were at home. We were sad that we could not stay with the other family we did enjoy this family too. The first summer we lived with them we went to Disney world ,which was a lot of fun. I remember being super scared on a ride that was like the power tower but it was dark, and being 6 I was scared out of my mind.
School technology in the 1960’s is very similar to today, but still was a whole other experience. School in the 1960’s was similar to today, as both had the occasional test, desks, and boards. In the 1960’s school’s had an overhead projector, very similar to today’s. Differences would be that papers were typed on electric typewriters. The boards were chalk and now they are whiteboards written on with markers. Schools didn’t have very many sports teams, in fact John Vandeel was the on the first soccer team of Illiana Christian High School. Schools today, such as some classrooms in Illiana have a SmartBoard and all have a computer. Schools in the 1960’s did not have Honors or AP classes and didn’t have any exams. School technology wasn’t the only thing comparable to today’s technology.
Interviewing is the main aspect of getting a job. Interviews are simple communication devices used to feel out the potential prospect. As I read through the article, important information grabbed my attention immediately. The basic of them all is preparing. Things that goes behind preparing for an interview is practicing in the comfort of your home questions, appearance, and research on the company you with t work for.
As a kid, I fell in love with the idea of getting a puppy for Christmas. Wrapped in a small box with a bow on top sitting under the tree just like the movies and tv shows I had seen. I can remember making a Christmas list of all the things I wanted that year, and every year the same thing that I wanted had said “puppy” with it underlined so that my mother knew which was my favorite on the list. Every year no surprise, I didn’t find a dog. I never understood why I never received one. When the kids at school talked about the few dogs they had at home made me so jealous, but I hoped that one day it would be me to have my own best friend at home.
I remember being so excited when my parents told me and my siblings that we were getting a dog. I could not wait to have a dog

I have a few entertaining stories of my own about my Husky, Khayman. First of all, he is the dog that everyone loves and no one wants to own. I can barely get anyone to watch him for more than ten minutes. It's not that Khayman is a mean animal--he isn't--he is just clever. Part of the reason everyone likes him is because of his looks, but mostly he's got a lot of personality. His bandit mask and two different colored eyes (blue and brown) get him attention, pats on the head, dog biscuits at the gas station, and royal treatment whenever anyone finds him on his escapades (which, mind you, have been many). His first escapades didn't take him far, mostly running down the street a few blocks after bum rushing the door. That routine started at four or five months of age. It rapidly progressed as he grew larger, gained strength, and acquired confidence (read attitude).
