Do you have a very important memory that you are sure will never leave your head? Well, um.. I do! This memory that i’m about to tell you about is very, very important to me. Every year we used to go to my Pawpaw’s for thanksgiving. It was so much fun. We would all get to his house and go inside. My Pawpaw basically lived in his garage! When we would get to his house, guess where he was! His garage! We would go say hi and what for more people to get to his house. My Mawmaw would make the best food ever! When more people got to there house we would go inside and eat. They had two tables and the kids would sit at one and the adults would sit at the other one. Well, it was time to get my food. I got my food. One thing that I got was mashed potatoes
To begin, the food we eat can trigger our thoughts and memories of the times we had with our loved ones. Whether one is smelling burgers at a family barbeque, eating a feast during the holidays, or biting into that hot, homemade cookie, one’s senses are awakened when one smells or taste food, and it brings one back to the fond memories of the times we have family. I will be discussing my personal memories and how I identify with the father in the story,”Chili Cheese Dogs My Father And Me”, by Pat Conroy.
Dog has been “man’s best friend” for ages. Around Franklin County, almost everyone owns a dog. Since many owners are farmers, people in the Franklin County area need a dog who will be loyal, can herd livestock if need be, and is obedient to its master. The best breed of dog that fits this description is the Blue Heeler, also known as the Australian Cattle Dog. Though these dogs are better suited for the rural areas, many people in the city own them as well. Sprightly yet independent, the Australian Cattle Dogs are great companions for single people and families alike. Blue Heelers are the all-around best breed of dog in Franklin County.
The Cessation of Puppy Mills How much is that doggy in the window? The one with the waggly tail? Well, if you know where that puppy came from, you may think twice about purchasing the canine. Puppy mills have been around for over fifty years. (Madonna Of the Mills)
The gorillas live mainly in coastal West Africa in the Congo, Zaire, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon. Gorillas live in the rain forest. They usually live on the ground but build nest in trees to sleep in. Gorilla troops keep a 15-20 square mile range which often overlaps the range of other troops. There are three different kinds of gorillas. The eastern lowland gorilla the western lowland and the mountain gorilla. They are herbivores and eat only wild celery, roots, tree bark pulp, fruit, stems of many plants and bamboo shoots. They spend nearly half their day eating.
An example of a good memory is when her science teacher gives Melinda and her biology lab partner, David Protracis an apple to dissect and study. This reminds Melinda of when her father took her to an apple orchard and sat her high up into a tree. It was windy day and the wind pushed her mother into her father’s arms. This made Melinda very happy. Her parents do not seem to get along in the story and her father rarely has time to talk to her mom or Melinda.
A puppy mill is a place where people force dogs to reproduce in order to sell the pups to stores, people or anyone else who is willing to buy them so they can make money. Thousands of dogs are made each year by these mills, and because they make more dogs then they can sell an overpopulation of dogs begins to occur. A serious of conflict occurs from puppy mills. Since animals from stores are from breeding mills that means the mills are being supported to stay in business from anyone who buys a puppy from stores. Also since more people are buying from stores, less people are buying animals from a shelter therefore those animals have a higher chance of dying. Puppy mills also do not take care of the dogs whom are in their care. Some of the animals are abused very badly by these places. Female dogs are forced to reproduce every chance they can, and when they get to the point where they are physically no longer able to do so they get killed. There food is contaminated with algae or other bacteria that grows. (DoSomething.org) Also the living conditions they have the
Described as “ the jewel in the crown” of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, Lake Winnipesaukee is the state’s largest standing body of water, nestled in the foothills of the White Mountains east of Laconia, in Belknap and Carroll counties. It was a nice and sunny day. The sun was shining bright and the leaves on the trees gave a vibrant color of orange and red creating a magical fairy tale. The leaves on the ground dancing every time the wind howled. Families all around gathering together under one roof on this special day creating a delicious feast meant to feed a whole kingdom. The food being cooked filling the air with a spectacular smell of pumpkin, cinnamon, turkey, and other spectacular smells. The magical day that brings families together is known all across the world as Thanksgiving. This Thanksgiving while playing fetch with my owner’s family I learned that not complaining for one day can bring families closer together.

How can you be satisfied without remembering the significant memories in life? Memory is the way we function through our day-to-day lives. Without memory we wouldn’t be here today, it is something that you develop to learn overtime. Memory is fascinating and can function and improve in many ways. It is astonishing how we can remember a certain taste, smell, sounds, and objects over a long and short period of time. The memory is very complex and consists of many components. In this essay I will be informing you on how the human memory is critical in our everyday lives.

Growing up, I've had parents that like to share a lot of very in-depth memories with me. I used to always ask myself, “How do they always remember things so clearly?”, until eventually it hit me. One day, I had gone out of town with my mother after physical therapy. We had traveled out to Long John Silver's, because it is a restaurant we've always loved. We got ourselves some great food before heading on out to various stores to pick out clothing and pick up groceries. After going through all the stores and eventually back out to the car, a conversation began about memories. We had some talks, and this is when I realized that one memory sparks numerous memories.
But most of all, the food was the best memory of all. The food served at
A red brick house on top of a small hill is where my memories reside. A slightly curved gravel road led to the front of the house. Eight or nine rose brown apple trees randomly covered the plush green lawn. Down the small hill, muddy brown water trickled down a ditch with cattails surrounding it. One enormous willow tree sat in the background, to the right of the house, to complete the picture. It almost seemed like a picture from a postcard. But when you're a kid none of this really matters. All that really matters to you is to have as much fun as possible. My memories don't come just from this beautiful picture but from the little things making it.
As I finished eating, I heard the horn of my uncle’s car outside of my house, they seemed happy and ready to go. We all left at the same time, heading to my grandparent’s ranch. Once we get there, my cousins and I rushed to my grandfather’s fruit trees. He had apple trees, orange trees, lime trees, among others delicious fruits. As the time passed, lunch time came and everybody was called to eat. One of my uncles knows how to cook, and since he was in charge of the meat, he knew what to do to make it better. I remember the taste of that meat, it was delicious and everyone love
