Also, Ken Notstop was not in a rush as well and he was part of a tree business. Following Ken, Kelly Sion was interviewed, showing that she had a song stuck in her head. Due to the fact she wanted to exercise before she was supposed to open the gym, she was in a rush.. Anita Newcar was in a rush due to the fact that she was already late to work, and she was behind a car with trees and a nest on the back. Due to the fact that Kelly had a song stuck in her head, she could’ve been the woman dancing in a car that Dr. Otto Mobile mentioned, showing that she was in front of Otto. Contemporary literature is the sharing of timeless truths that still hold relevance in our current society in a current manner. There is a saying “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the Sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9, n.d.). What the saying means is that anything we experience now has already been experienced and to believe that you have a fresh new idea, way of thinking, activity or anything than you are mistaken. Everything that can be thought of already has been. The story that I read during this session that reminds of this and has helped shape my view on contemporary literature is “Car Crash While Hitchhiking”, it was written by Denis Johnson. I’m going to explain how this story in

According to the Journal of Applied Behavioral Analysis, "automobile crashes are the leading cause of death for those aged 3 to 33, with 43,005 (118 per day) Americans killed in 2002 alone" (Clayton, Helms, Simpson, 2006). Worldwide, vehicle accidents consist of 1.2 millions deaths per year, "behind only childhood infections and AIDS as cause of death amount people aged 5 to 30 years old" (Clayton., 2006). The annual cost of road accidents is estimated about $518 billion"(Factor, Yair, Mahalel, 2013). The fact alone of being in a moving, heavy vehicle is a danger in itself but individuals that do not wear their seat belts, talk on the phone, text, and do other distracting behavior also put themselves in even more harmful situations.

In the month of October 2011, two of my friends were exiting Fort Carson, Colorado, and waited at a red light. The light turned to a green arrow and they proceeded to the intersection. The driver did not see a large dump truck travelling approximately 50 miles per hour toward them until it was too late. The dump truck failed to adhere to a red light and struck my friend’s truck. The truck spun around several times and stopped in the median.

This paper is being written to identify and provide demographic information on a population that has been through trauma and resiliency following motorcycle accidents. This population has been through some form of trauma whether they realize it or not. Some people deal with trauma differently. For example, many motorcyclists engage in drug and alcohol to feel most comfortable because they face traumatic situations on the road, daily. Logan was on his way home from an evening at the local bar. He and some friends had gone out to have a couple beers. As he sped down the road, he blinked vigorously to try to clear his vision. Although it was a perfectly clear summer night, Logan’s vision was blurred from the alcohol. “As long as I keep this car on my side of the road, I’ll be fine,” he thought to himself. He was doing a decent job of obtaining control over the vehicle, or so he thought. Only three miles from his country home, he became unaware of his position on the road as it began to curve. As he continued around the familiar curve in the road, a truck came out of nowhere at hit Logan’s small Toyota Camry head on. The big F-350 pickup truck was no comparison to the little

I had driven home this way a thousand times before, but today would be different. The misty rain made the road slick as I steered the car through the slow, wide curve. It may have been the setting sun in my eyes, but it was probably a combination of the loud song on the radio and the slight yawn that escaped from my mouth. Regardless, a momentary distraction was all it took as the tires hit the damp gravel. The wet rubber and slick stones triggered the car to slide off the road to the right. In a panic, I jerked the wheel to the left, over-correcting the slide. Swerving across oncoming traffic, my car jumped over the drainage ditch and smashed down into a neighbor’s front yard. Continuing its dangerous journey, the car destroyed a lamp
