A Religion where spells are acceptable, the earth is celebrated and nature is a basic mold of the major concepts, paganism. The word "pagan" originates from the Latin term paganus which is defined as country dweller, at one point any person not being an active Christian was considered to be a pagan. Pagan followers have a different view on life, such as they believe in the natural forces of the earth, and consciously try to live with it. Another example illustrating how unique this religion is the fact that pagans are polytheistic, but have the one chief god that rules over the others, it's contradicting that a pagan can also have no belief in any one god. An interesting concept about this religion is that you are not told a certain way, rather you decipher it for yourself and believe what you think to be true. For example most pagans do not believe in a Christian God, but are not against him and do not try to convince others to be against him. Rather the pagan idea on a Christian god is that he is that if that is the God that makes you happy, he is okay for you.

There are a few basic concepts of the pagan religion that really help illistarte it for people uninformed about it. Pagans respect nature and they live attuned to it, infact this is a religion based off nature. In addition, there are Goddesses as well as Gods and they symbolize aspects of nature and are within people and immanent of people. Im sure you have heard of the term "Mother Nature', becasue nature is seen as female, mother nature in pagan religion is thaought to be the mother of everyone and plants and creatures are in turn our siblings. In Christianity there is one God, they are monotheistic and in the afterlife the have a last judgement which depending on the events and choices made during your life decide if you are sent to eternal happiness in Heaven, or are sent to hell. in addition homosexuality is acceptable in paganism, where in christianity homosexuality is strongly looked down on. one thing held in common in christianity and paganism: women are held in equal value to men.

The pagan religion is based off respect for nature, they believe in the natural forces of the world and live by them, the wheel of the year assists in this. many poeple are unaware of how many traditiomns they celebrate that arose from pagan celebrations. Symbolism is abundant in the pagan culture, most common seen is the ankh and the pentacle.
