As students, the researchers aim to attain success in the future; and as a guide to this path, schools are implementing such things that may help the students to achieve this. And as a result, the philosophy, vision, mission, goals and outcomes (PVMGOs) of the school were making. The PVMGOs serve as guide of the school for the students, faculty, staffs and stakeholders of the campus.

The philosophy, vision, mission, goals and objectives represent the ambitions of the institution. The philosophy is the guiding principles of the university (Merriam Webster). The vision states the institution hope to become in the future. The mission reflects the mandate of the whole state university and college. The goals are the aims of the hierarchical structure below the institutional level (the academic college/institute/school), and the objectives are the aims at the program level, i.e., what the program hopes to achieve. The program outcomes are the expected results of the program. The philosophy, vision, mission, goals, and outcomes (PVMGO) serve as the foundation of an educational institution. Since I was young, I’ve always took a special interest in learning about the Holocaust. While the Holocaust represents a horrible time in history, I’ve always been interested in learning about the horrifying details because I simply couldn’t imagine how so many people complied with and remained silent as the Nazi regime took over much of Europe. So naturally, I was very excited to begin reading Maus. Similar to Persepolis, Maus is a graphic novel. I do not like reading graphic novels at all, but because the Holocaust is a topic that interests me so much, I was still able to enjoy Maus.
Chiefs Petty Officer Academy (CPOA) is an extremely effective tool to help refine leadership and understand one’s self. The CPOA course offers a vast opportunity for self reflection and learning how to communicate with a multitude of different personalities. There were a plethora of topics taught during the 5 week course; however the topics that had the greatest influence and inspiration for me personally were the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI), Disc profile, and ropes course.
Education Goals indicate any further education the student will complete to achieve the employment goal. This includes colleges, universities, non-credit college classes, and certification programs. All students must have education goal that aligns with their employment goal.
I am always a little nervous and hesitant when I begin writing an essay. Ever since I was little I was an honor roll student, passed all my tests, was placed in honors and AP classes, and eventually graduated a year early from high school. I used to be so confident when I would begin writing a paper, I could finish it within a couple minutes. During junior year of high school, I began taking duel credit classes. I was passing all the classes so far until I reached English 111. It was an 8-week course and I started to get overwhelmed. All throughout the course I was having a little bit of trouble on the essays. I would still receive a passing grade, but it wasn’t an A. The mission statement of an organization is a brief statement that explains the purpose that an organization exists. The organizational philosophy outlines the set of values and beliefs that controls the operations of an organization (Marquis, 2011). They talked about how their college could make the leap from being good to being great. At the 22nd American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges conference held in Long Beach, California on November 14, 1996, the topic of changing curriculum was discussed (“Mich”). Up until this year, before taking the class intermediate composition, I thought I was a terrible writer. I was right. Writing isn’t something that I enjoy doing, nor am I good at. Writing is difficult for me because I’m not very good at explaining things in a professional manner, that can be easily well written. While writing you are expected to make little to no mistakes, which is not something I’m great at. I am so much better at explaining things with verbal words rather than written words. I had not taken any extra writing classes before this year rather than the mandatory ones. Like I had stated before, I hate writing, with a passion. Multiple essays have been formulated during the duration of Composition 1. These essays have taught me an important lesson about my writing, failure is acceptable in order to grow. On the other hand, I made an important discovery last year that I want to study journalism and advance further in that field after college. From taking journalism classes, to blogging in my spare time, to always getting an A on my papers, I thought I had no room to improve. I was mistaken. Therefore, because of the rigorous essay work each essay brought, I learned more about how to write different pieces and grow from my “failure”.
Initial Reflective Essay When I first thought of what I wanted to do with my life after college, the first thing I thought of was helping people. The next step in deciding what I wanted to do with my life was to examine how I could accomplish this goal. I started pondering and I was thinking about how much I love to take care of my body. Health care and personal hygiene has always been an important factor in my life. So I decided to major in Health Sciences.
First thing I experienced walking into English 101 as a freshman was anxiety and nervousness. Going through high school I was never really good at English and having English 101 as my second class as a freshman was eye opening. I have learned to use proper technique while writing papers, looking through my paper for grammar errors and also that it is always good to ask for help when confused and if you are stuck on a paper.
This semester entering English 102 I thought of myself as a bad writer with a lot to say and no idea how to coordinate it or express it. A big reason why I took English stretch composition was to strengthen my writing skills. I feel like I have a better idea of where to put my ideas but I really need help with the technical writing and how to do research papers correctly. My concerns over the semester are not the same as they were at the beginning, they have changed. One of my concerns was that I wouldn’t know how to organize a college essay, but that concern is gone now. A new concern I have this semester is my run on sentences and the punctuation and the lack thereof.
When I started this class I thought I was somewhat alright writer. I understood the basics of writing and believed I knew how to write an entertaining piece. All of the papers we wrote showed me one of my weaknesses as a writer.
