When was a time that you experienced failure? The time that I experienced failure was my sophomore year of high school. Losing in wrestling to the same competitor again at semi-state during the first round. Watching kids I’ve beat move on to state, made me realize that I need to ameliorate on my training and my weakness. From that next Monday to the beginning of wrestling season of my junior year, I was trying to get better all round by going to Indianapolis twice a week until football season started, working on things when nobody's looking and watching wrestling whenever I have an opportunity to. Learning many lessons from that failure.

That moment forged me and has taught me that my success comes from what I put in. It has made me a better person today and for tomorrow. That moment really made me believe that from the responsibilities I have to put on myself, to making the right decision in life really impact tomorrow. I have to look back and say it was the best situation that has ever happened to me. Failure can be a positive and is positive if it becomes a foundation for improvement. I won that first round. When I won my first round of semi state this past year, I wasn't letting anyone take my “ticket” to state from me. I won the second round and got the “ticket” to state. As I moved on to the state finals there were doubters. Some believed that I was going to lose. I felt the pressure. It was a stressful time, I had taken finals on Thursday and Friday and had to prepare for the biggest match of my career as an athlete. The odd thing was the timing was perfect. I made a connection. My matches were a final too. From studying video, to making a game plan for the match, to executing it when the match started, and to the last second. It replicated the same scenario I was playing out in my classroom work. It helped me win that match and move on to
