Everyone will occur obstacles in their lives. The way you end up after facing an obstacle is entirely based on how you faced the obstacle when it first hit you. If you gave up on whatever it was you were trying to do you will forever be unsuccessful in life. If you found a way to get around this obstacle and persevered you will always find ways to do what you want. In Hamlet, The Great Gatsby and my own life there have been many obstacles that have been important to the characters in the texts and to me in my life.
Obstacles are something that we all face in our lives. Whether it’s something small or huge. But it’s when we overcome them that we realize that we came out stronger than ever.
A challenge is nothing more than an obstacle that lies in one's path. I have had my fair share of such obstacles The main one has been my deafness. Many people consider deafness a disabilitya handicap that leads to problems or failure. I am proof that this stereotype is false. I was raised with the awareness that a person in my position can either be a "deaf person" or a person who happens to have a problem hearing. I chose to be the latter.
One time I overcame a challenging situation was during the Citi Stock Pitch Competition. Our task was to present a stock recommendation. Our group spent the first day working but making no progress. By the end of the day everyone was discouraged, and 2 members wanted to quit. As I still wanted to submit, I had to figure out a way to motivate the team. I later spoke with a more experienced friend, and realised we failed to break the case down. That night I went home and researched everything I could about stock pitching. I created an excel spreadsheet, and broke everything down into 20 tasks. The next morning, I assigned each member 5 tasks. Progress immediately improved. From this I learnt the importance of always having a plan and assigning
In life we all face obstacles. The troubles that we face don’t define us, how we overcome the situation is what makes us the people we are today. Throughout my life I have faced many trials and tribulations that I had to overcome with the help of my mother, ofcourse. I was smooth sailing in life until I started high school.
Overcoming Obstacles Throughout a persons life, they are faced with different obstacles, and different challenges of all different types. My life in particular has been full of ups and downs, especially towards my soccer career. In the novel The Pact, three boys, George, Rameck, and Sam, are faced with many obstacles throughout their lives, where they must learn to overcome and achieve great success on their own will power. Essentially, I did the same thing. My soccer career has been one of my most difficult life challenges, creating the person I am today.
There are many situations in life where you can feel upset or melancholy due to a negative situation that you are in. This is a fact of life, for we all face adversity sooner or later. Though negative situations aren’t easy to overcome, there are ways to turn negative situations into positive ones. The three main ways i’ve found to be effective include: being optimistic, taking adversity as a lesson, or remembering that everything will get better soon. Those have helped me through my tough times, and I hope they help you through yours.
Obstacle is a double-edged sword, they both have double effects, which are advantages and disadvantages to people. For many of us it is easy to blame the obstacles instead of ourselves, and they don't recognize that they are the real causes of failure. When people accept the dilemma, they think they can see the failure through the dilemma, and these won’t change. We all need resilience because we can’t get happiness, success, and other elsa without meeting hardship along the way. The problem is if we limit our understanding of resilience, and we also limit our strain capacity. If we are going to change the status quo, it requires that we confront injury, hardship, and other obstacles. There is more than one way to solve anything, but if we’re

“When you stop making excuses and you work hard and you go hard then you will be very successful.” those words of the award winning musician and motivational speaker Dj Khaled are how I face adversity when faced with it. According to self-development.com, making excuses only makes the problem worse. It is like trying to hide a hole in a garment with a big patch, making it look worse. Hard work is even more important than not making excuses. Working hard will always help you achieve your goal. As stated by selfgrowth.com, “it took Noah Webster 36 years to compile his Webster's Dictionary.” With that being said, I will talk about how working hard can help anyone overcome adversity, what it
Through out life everyone is faced with many obstacles. A person can choose to overcome the obstacles or let the obstacles overcome them. While obstacles come at all different degree levels it is the persons choice on how they react to the obstacle that they are faced with. My biggest obstacle in my life would be overcoming bullying in middle and high school. In school, I was bullied but I chose to overcome it by talking to people, joining extra activates, and helping other people that dealt with the same thing I went through.
A personal obstacle that I have overcome was when my mother became legally blind in 2004. When my mother lost her eyesight it was a very drastic change for my family and I. We went from being a completely normal family, financially stable, to having to live paycheck to paycheck and learning how to budget. It was especially hard for me because I was a young child who didn’t understand that my mom wasn’t able to do all the same things as normal moms. I had to quickly understand that my parents would not be able to get me everything I want, but the things that I needed. The older I became the more I understood that just because my mom had a disability that she was still like all the other moms. I began to learn more about my mom’s eye disease,
