Everyone has to overcome barriers at some point in their life, big or small. But just overcoming the barriers is a big deal in anyone's life, mainly because the goals that you set for yourself are the ones that you try the hardest to accomplish just because no matter what anybody else says, you will always listen to yourself the most. Now my barrier might seem small to some people but it only matters what it means to me. It still means a lot to me mainly because it changed my future! And that was when I had that certain feeling, that feeling. My lack of knowledge was mainly my barrier,and so I had to overcome that barrier with commitment, integrity, and determination. So when I got done blocking the defensive end I went out for the pass and I just then at the time thought “what if he actually passes the ball to me!?” So that is where my determination came into play, then I just seen the craziest thing. He was actually throwing the ball to me! I almost panicked but remembered that all I had to do was just put my hands up and catch the ball smoothly with my hands. And then I just used my skills that I was taught everyday at football practice, the ball was coming to me, I put my hands up, I felt the ball hit my fingertips so I latched onto the ball in the end zone and came down with the tips of my two feet. It was a touchdown! the first of the game for either team, so we were quickly up on the scoreboard 7-0 against Marshall. Marshall was the toughest team in the division at the time and we didn’t let them score the whole game! So for the first time in like eight years, Coldwater actually beat Marshall in rocket football.
