In my junior year history class, my teacher assigned a historical research paper. During my high school years, essay’s or writing in general has definitely been a poor subject that I have dealt with. This was one of the hardest assignments I have been assigned, and I accomplished it. This research paper had to 10 pages long, and had to be cited, we had to create an outline also. Although it does not seem difficult, we had two weeks to finish it, plus the topics were very complicated. For example, my research topic was: Describe the goals and effectiveness of the Native American Movement on tribal identity and sovereignty including the American Indian Movement (AIM), and the Siege at Wounded Knee.
