The recipiants are put on a list right when they are told they need a new organ. In 2012 alone, there were 124,681 people that put on a waitlist for an organ. When a person is in need of a new organ, that means they are very ill, so they are not able to live a normal life like they might have onve been able to, making a new level of stress to be created on the family.
