1.1 Brief History Chipotle Mexican Grill was founded in Denver, Colorado in 1993. In 1998, McDonald’s became the majority shareholder; however, in 2006, McDonald’s divested its controlling interest. Chipotle became a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2006. It currently has 1,083 locations across the United States and Canada. In May 2010, Chipotle expanded into Europe, opening their first restaurant in the United Kingdom.
Chipotle is my favorite place to eat. As I am sure it is for other people. Chipotle is a fast food Mexican grill. They are most known for how big they make your burritos. Now it is fast food but it isn’t actually fast, they’re like a restaurant but without the wait. They serve all naturally raised meat and organic beans. So there food is pretty healthy and worth eating. The employees are always nice and it just a great place to eat over all. Chipotle is a great choice for a quick fast food stop because it gives great service, atmosphere, food and value. My experience there is always a good one.
Chipotle Mexican grill has transformed the way people think about fast-food through delivering exceptional Mexican dining experiences to its guests and providing a simple menu of organic ingredients, quick service and at a low cost. In the novel, In the Skin of a Lion written in the year 1987, Michael Ondaatje uses a variety of different themes such as the power of language, the immigrant experience, search for identity and many others to make the novel interesting. Along with these interesting themes Ondaatje makes it more interesting with the novel’s non-chronological order. Identity is what makes up a person by either the description, the actions done by the person or appearance. Ondaatje does a wonderful job of developing the characters’ identity
Having completed this survey as truthfully as possible, my leadership style is deemed as that of a Participative (democratic) that leans somewhat on the Delegative (free reign) side. The Authoritarian (autocratic) score was far behind the previously mentioned two. I feel that this survey has accurately showed that I would lead with the democratic style that would encourage participation and discussions of the entire staff to create a relevant and safe workplace. If these two styles do not succeed, I would be adaptable to show and bring forth the Authoritarian side to accomplish the goals and requirements of my department. Communication and transparency are vital between staff and leadership to create cohesiveness that will enhance patient satisfaction and care. My leadership style and managing qualities are comparable and connect with that of the traits and styles of a few different management and leadership
According to organisational behaviour by McShane, leadership is defined as influencing, motivating and enabling others to contribute towards the effectiveness and success of the organisation of which they are members (page 382, McShane).Becoming an effective leader depends on the leader’s leadership style. Successful leaders have vision and charisma, also the leader should have an ongoing personality, talkative, careful and self-disciplined. The leader must also have self-concept with a high self-esteem and a motivation drive which peruses goals that motivates their followers. (McShane pg 382). Leaders should also have integrity, this is when the leaders are truthful and they have a consistency of words and actions. Authentic leadership is very important in a successful leader; the leader must be comfortable and act in a rightful manner with a self-concept that comes from within the leader by being themselves. There are cultural values and gender values when it comes to different leadership styles, research has found out that women and men both have different methods of being leaders such as men are more direct when giving a power speech compared to women who prefer a participative style of leadership (McShane pg 384).Leadership however is based on a technique the leader uses and how they apply it to their followers and not so much about who is following the leader but rather what technique best suits and relates to the followers.

To begin with, for the fast food industry around the world, the leading fast food chains marketing information is wrapped around convenience location, changing preferences, quality of food, pricing of fast food, potential customers, age of the customers, menu selection and diversification and last of all superior service. From a marketing perspective, location for the fast food service to the potential customers is most important, according to Maritz Marketing Research.
