The growing popularity of online retailing is attracting competition from traditional and online multi-retailers such as Wal-Mart and Amazon which are gaining considerable market shares in many of the product segments included in the specialty retail sector.
Online shopping has been growing since the put the first online store on the web, now you can shop from anywhere around the world and have it shipped to you directly. Comparing the product against other online store competitors; making it easier to find the best price on the web. You can research the product and make sure this what you need before buying it. This might appear obvious to many shoppers. But I believe multitudes of people purchase items without ever considering what they buy could be found elsewhere for less money. Even I am guilty of assuming that Walmart has the best prices on everything. If I take a small amount of time to search for a specific coffee maker, I can find the large chain store 's prices such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Sears, along with other smaller retailers. (In some cases smaller stores ' prices are lower.) Many stores price match, so if I prefer to shop at Walmart because I live close to one, I can have them match the competing retailers lower price. Also, many retailers provide free shipping on online orders totaling a certain amount. Therefore, if physically visiting the store with the lowest prices is not feasible, shoppers can order items online for no extra charge. However, ordering from brick-and-mortar stores—physically or online—is not always the best option. Websites such as Amazon and eBay have millions of items from multiple sellers. Sellers will compete with each other for the lowest price, often providing shoppers with a price lower than those of larger stores. Regardless of how and where you purchase your items, taking time to shop around is a wise
When comparing two different ways of shopping most people do not even think about the difference, they do both and not even realize it. In today's society people shop while at work, after work and on the weekends, whenever time permits. Stop and think how can I get more time in the day for family or just myself? The best way to figure that out with all the recourses we have is to go into a store and spend time looking through racks and waiting in endless lines to just purchase something. I compared going into a store verses online shopping; to see which one will save you time and money.
Customers like to stay entertained while hunting for the perfect gift. Shopping in stores can be boring at time causing the customer to shop online in the comfort of their home (No One Is Talking about a Major Reason That People Aren 't Shopping for Clothes in Stores). Online shopping can be more exciting to people than going into the actual store.
This is the report according to the survey I did in IUP. Seven out of ten people say they prefer to buy goods from e-commerce. The reason is they said that it is convenient and time saving. According to the survey most of them agree that the service is fast. For an example, the delivery is fast. If you purchase something from e-commerce you will get the stuff within two weeks time. Beside that, the price is slightly cheaper than those goods in the shopping mall. But it depends on season, if you buy goods during the clearance season, such as New Year sale, summer sale or winter sales goods in the shopping mall probably will be cheaper than goods that offer in the e-commerce.
E-commerce is the use of the web to sell products and services. While the use of the web is used for many things today, making a business out of it can prove to be very sufficient. Using this method to increase your business profits could lead to an increase in customers. Three ways e-commerce can provide service for it 's customers is by managing simultaneity through customization, reducing customers errors and by using innovation as part of customer participation. Cyberservice overcomes many of the traditional problems of services marketing by giving the marketer undreamed of control over the previously capricious characteristics of services. This is because the Web, as an interactive medium, combines the best of mass production and customization.
The main advantage of online shopping is convenient. Online shops open 24/7. People who live in remote areas do not need to speed long time on the traveling to the stores. Consumers who come from other cities/countries can easily buy the native and specialty goods by just a click instead of going to that cities/countries themselves. The relevant information of products can be received from any location in seconds. Study showed that 72% of online shoppers preferred surf online than go to retail store to attain information about a product (Lokken et al., 2003). Online shopping also has greater price information (as cited...
Online and in-store shopping differentiates in various ways. However, they both are convenient ways to shop. Recently, online shopping has been most convenient for me, but I enjoy both ways of shopping. I believe that shopping preferences change depending on a person’s situation. I noticed that many people are starting to prefer online shopping more than in-store shopping.
Online retail and shopping sales has been growing consistently every year, not just in the US but worldwide. Not only does online shopping give customers more convenience, more variety, and more discreetness but it also gives customers better prices. While it is quite true that Wal-Mart has product variety and cheap prices – things customers want – the physical stores do not really give the convenience and discreteness that online retail and shopping does.
By using my pal Wikipedia, I actually discovered the history of online shopping, none of which I knew before my research. I learnt that online shopping was invented in 1979 by English entrepreneur Michel Aldrich, who was an IT expert, with a total of 38 years in the business. On my Facebook news feed, I found a group of popular pages under a ‘Pages you may like’ heading. Mostly these were online fashion store who share their garments and products for the public to see, where businesses can promote their products through Facebook ‘like and share’ competitions. Pinterest was a great one for finding the most pinned clothing and accessories, once you see a dress or a pair of sweet kicks, you simply click on that pin to enlarge it and ta-da, there is the item, there’s the website and if you’re lucky, the price. I used my Instagram to fol...

1. Convenience: Online shopping provides convenience to the customers as it is available around the clock and is open 24*7. Many people choose to shop online because they could shop after hours, when traditional stores are closed & also they want to avoid traffic jams, crowds, waiting lines etc. Customers not only see products available but also online services that are provided to them. Good service will retain the customers for longer time. Some people want to avoid face to face interaction with the salespersons so they do online shopping. Online shopping allows you to compare prices with other stores and endless sizes and colors are available to you that normally wouldn’t be in stores. Being able to have someone deliver whatever you desire right to your doorstep is like receiving a gift. Another pro of online shopping is having access to customer reviews. Yes, you may be able to physically hold the item if you were buying it from a store, but by reading the customer reviews you can decide if the product is worth the price. You can even write your own review to inform other people of your opinion of the product. If you don’t like the product, most places allow you to ship it back hassle-free with a full refund or
