One Direction is a boy band from the United Kingdom that has taken over the lives of many teenagers, and young women around the world. The five british boys have stolen thousands of girls hearts from not only their songs, but the way they interact with their fans.
There are many arguments all over the internet as to why One Direction is ‘the worst band ever’, but most of the points made are just opinionated. One Direction is underrated because they are seen as a immature boyband, when they are really just misunderstood.
When One Direction was put together in 2011 on the X-Factor by Simon Cowell, everything had changed. The boy band group became one of the world’s biggest internet sensations since the Beatles. Most people do not know, but they

Yeah, I fell for you!”. (AtoZ 1) This song is completely different to any song on their first album
Up All Night.
A man named Nathan Bashaw wrote an article on why One Direction should be respected and not underrated, he says, “Most bands in their situation — bands that want to shed the
“teeny-bopper” label and achieve mainstream acceptability — would first go to extreme lengths to prove they’re not a kid anymore, then make music that sounds exactly like the stuff at the

One Direction is not a immature band like everyone says they are. They are a group of boys who have had to grow up fast in the spotlight, and have done a great job showing the world what it’s like to make their own music.
One Direction is also seen as underrated from their fans. Their fans are mostly teenage girls and to the public that makes them look like some cheesy boy band. This is what
Cosmopolitan has to say about what the boys think about their fans, “OMG they reeeeally love their fans. They're constantly thanking them, always tweeting them and love stopping for photographs and pulling cheesy faces with them” (Goddard 1). People of other fan bases are just jealous because One Directions fans, are their for them all the time, even when Zayn left in
March of 2015.
When Zayn left it was a hard time for the other boys in the band, but they never let down their fans by continuing the concerts and making music. If people would just learn about how

This song became the perfect background for PSA's. Maybe, after all, there was more to this band than sexuality and drugs. This album has a bit of each of the necessary elements to become a hit. In fact, it has. much more than that.

If fans don 't do this other fans will start to assume they don 't like One Direction and they wont be considered a fan in their eyes. A fan should also vote for them in every award show they are part of so One Direction could win. This is almost considered a competition in the music world. This shows other fandoms , social media and One Direction , how Directioners are “the best fan base in the world”. They must also stick through every bad scandal that happens in the band. For example, when Zayn , a member of One Direction, left the band, many fans left the community because he was their favorite member of the band and those fans were no longer considered “Directioners”. If they stayed , then they were called a “real
Phish has inherited the legacy of the Grateful Dead. A responsibility that includes: playing a different set every night, constant jamming and experimenting. Phish is trailed across the country by adoring fans that think their heroes can do no wrong. What makes them so special is that their music winds together. It is full of freedom and happiness. Their lyrics are totally original; they have this weird way of looking at the world and when they express this in their songs it takes you to a whole different level of thinking.
The American rock band Nirvana impacted American culture and society by paving the way for the punk rock subculture into mainstream corporate America. Punk rock music stems from the rock genre but has its own agenda. The crux of punk rock is that it is a movement of the counterculture against the norms of society. Punk rock in itself is made up of a subculture of people who rejected the tameness of rock and roll music during the 1970s. (Masar, 2006, p. 8). The music stresses anti-establishment and anti-authoritarian ideas in its lyrics as well as scorns political idealism in American society. Before Nirvana unintentionally made punk rock a multi-million dollar commercialized genre of music, underground rock paved the way for the punk rock genre by creating core values that punk rockers drew upon.
Throughout the performance Band of Horses’ has a very traditional folk vibe and especially during the song Marry Song. Which seems to keep the majority of its integrity from the original release. Band of Horses does a wonderful job at being more than just a studio band they find a way to make it fell as if you are still wearing ear buds or directly at the show through the Acoustic at the Ryman album. This is definitely a band that sounds the same if not better in acoustic form.
... the end, getting your music on a series is a positive thing, but I think you also need a killer live show, killer songs to compete, and have staying power as a new band.”
... in Amityville in 2009 when they opened for Rise Against. Dan Campbell, the singer, gave everyone a free copy of their album just to get their name out there. They are now at the peak of the pop punk genre by selling thousands of albums, playing the main stage at Warped Tour and headlining a show at Best Buy Theater this April. Bands that make this sacrifice and eventually make it to a successful level deserve the natural rush music gives them.
...a bad decision. With that being said, one must be prepared to get knocked off the musical radar at any second, while industry workers remain without empathy. Whether it’s due to an economic, social, or physical problem, it is necessary to realize that everybody can fail in the music industry. After all, the American Dream really is just that - a dream.
My object of analysis is going to be “boy bands” which I am defining as “a band of boys usually playing pop music that is marketed towards young women.” I am going to specifically look at the band 5 Seconds of Summer and I am going to look at how their music and success becomes undermined because their target audience is primarily young women. I am going to do this using feminist theory and this project will examine how ideologies regarding the connection between young women and the band itself being written off artistically are almost embedded within society, in that people say things such as “this band sucks” without ever really listening due to their classification as a boy band. This is primarily linked back to who they are marketed toward,
Mainstream bands can be endearing souls without selling out if they never had the intention to put a price on their music to begin with. The songwriters who write for themselves then create an album to share their emotions with other music lovers are less likely to sell out because they know what constitutes art. The grounded pop punk band All Time Low [ATL] will unlikely be labeled sell outs because they are committed to their musical convictions. The ATL band members are sweet young gentleman who can play up their goofy side on their videos while remain genuine in person.
