“You’re young. You’ve your entire life ahead of you. Enjoy it.... Changing your diet is not likely to make any difference.” This was the well-intended advice my oncologist gave me when I inquired about nutrition and reducing my cancer risk at my 1-year cancer follow-up appointment. I took this advice to heart. I enjoyed my life and standard American diet until I was sick and homebound. I was 21 years old, suffering from multiple chronic conditions, and swallowing up to 19 prescription drugs daily with my TV dinners and Chinese delivery.

I love being able to empower my clients through coaching to live well regardless of their health history. Outside of holistic health and wellness, I am a wife, crunchy mother of one, culinary magician, and avid west coast swing dancer. I heartily advocate a healthy home environment and play as part of a healthy lifestyle.

I am a people-person, and I have worked with all age groups in various capacities. As a former dance instructor, I began college with an interest in human performance. I became a Board Certified Massage Therapist, and my undergraduate degree was in sports and health sciences, with psychology. I thought performance coaching, and being able to facilitate behavior change, would complement a holistic health care practice. I am also interested in psychoneuroimmunology and nutrition.

As a young adult cancer conqueror, I am especially passionate about partnering with this underserved community for their well-being. Although there is no certification requirement for providing nutrition care in my home state, I plan to pursue the Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) credential and become a Certified Nutritionist in Kentucky. I also aim to play an active role in changing the nutrition laws that should protect consumers and qualified professionals
