I think I could be a great help to this server, knowing there is a great community, but also a big quantity of cheaters. How do you think you can assist the server if you become this rank?: …show more content…
Also, it would be fun if I could help the server out with plugins and other things, because I am a Admin on 2 servers and Owner on one server, but I have stopped playing on them, because they closed down, and I could ban cheaters or kick, or mute, or whatever. Explain some cases in which you would perm-ban/temp-ban people: Mute: Spamming in chat non-step, or profanity usage too much. Kick: Being mean, abusing commands, or just not being fair to the staff. Temp-Ban: First time hacking but a 30 day ban. Also, I would temp-ban if someone for example lied in a deal/trade, or various other mean/annoying things. Ban: I would ban if it was their second time hacking, or cheating in some way that violates
Hacking, with the intent to steal or deface, is so feared in the corporate world that companies have spent $1.8 billion this year alone on computer network security products and services (Home Hackers 1). Cracking of home computers has been rare, but it is always a growing concern. Any machine connected to the Internet is potentially vulnerable, but the best targets are those with high-speed, "always on" connectors, such as cable modems or digital subscriber lines. Systems with high-speed connections are typically targeted because they are the simplest to track down. People have to realize that hacking is not a prank or a game, especially when hackers are hitting such spots as the White House site, the FBI site and the Senate site. The fines and jail time for these hackers are not very funny either. Arrests are being made and punishments can be up to life in prison and thousands, and in some cases millions of dollars in fines.
The Year(3) Tax Return Template is a spreadsheet document based on the 1120S form that calculates the tax statements of any three years (ex: 2014, 2015, 2016), as well as the averages of some totals for the past three years.
If I had the correct tools to help people out I would make a lot of players experience on the server a whole lot better. I usually am on the server for about 5-6 hours a day and on the weekend i’m on for way more. That give me more time than other staff to help people. I believe that i can promote the server in positive ways to. I will find new and revolutionary ways to get new players. They wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to play Uber. I would like to become a staff member because I love helping people and making them enjoy their Minecraft experience, as staff of my first few servers I played on were helping and supportive towards me, I think that's why I am able to be playing today. I love the minecraft community, even though it is harsh at times and I am harsh at it sometimes, but I still enjoy helping it. I like building creations for the good of the community and for my own enjoyment. I don't rage, if I were to leave, I would say my goodbyes and let the owner demote
The scene where the debate team came across the lynching mob stood out the most to me. The whole way the scene was set up was designed so the characters, and the audience would feel a sense of tension. In the scene, it is almost completely dark and all the characters in the car have a terrified look on their faces. Also the music has a fast paced tone to depict the urgency, and the danger of the situation. This is all done by the filmmakers in order to create a sense of fear amounts the audience and the characters.
The documentary Rise of the Hackers, focuses on the rising criminal use of hacking and how it is effecting multiple areas of technology. The documentary describes simple and complicated situations concerning hacking, but there still questions that must be answered when it comes to hacking and crime. The main question is in trying to determine why a person would choose to commit computer hacking. There are various theories already present within the criminal justice system that may explain at a micro-level and macro-level. These theories would explain why offenders would commit the crimes, but it may not answer the full scope of the question. The Routine Activities Theory would help to explain why offenders offend, why victims are victimized,
Hacking is the term used to describe the process of breaking into and obtaining access to a computer system or network. It’s essentially the modern successor of the age-old breaking-and-entering. In this information age, information is power. Those who obtain a person’s personal information can use it to for various crimes including identity theft. Companies and corporations are not exempt from this either. Nowadays, many companies store their customer’s personal data in their databases (a massive collection of data, similar to a giant, virtual phonebook). As a result, they become targets of hackers who, if successful,
Hacking was once a term that was used to describe someone with a great deal of
Before we can fully understand the mind of a hacker, we need to look at the history of hacking. Hacking is usually broken up into three time periods: The Elder Days, The Golden Age, and Zero Tolerance.
I can assist the OPCraft network / community by being on everyday for a good amount of time and being a staff member doing my job. I can also assist the community by filling in the staff members like if a staff member is afk I can take his part and do his work for him. I can also assist the server by making the community stop complaining about staffs being poopy (In other words shi*ty). I can also assist the server by finding bugs and instead of abusing it reporting it to icey and I can find more bugs as a staff by watching people seeing if they know anymore and if I see someone do a bug that is unknown I'll just report that one to icey or any Admins. I can also assist the server by finding hackers / ghosters who look very legit but they are probably
The definition of hacking has undergone some changes in the past few years. At first it identified people “who enjoys modifying and subverting system, whether technological bureaucratic or sociological.” (Lemos, 2002) In the last decade hacking has evolved to describe “those people with a hands-on interest in computer security and circumventing such security. (lemos 2002) As you explore deeper into the digital landscape it becomes clearer that these hackers are sub divided into three groups of intermingling individuals classified by a system of hats.
“We cannot defend ourselves with a weapon…but we can do this with their cars, homes, bars, brothels and everything else in their possession. It won’t be difficult; we all know who they are and where they are located.” Quoted from an Anonymous member. (Schiller, A.6.) Computer hacking began in the 1950s with an individual looking out for his own personal gains; like free phone calls for instance. The perception of hackers ever since has become very negative. Hacking has evolved over time, with many modern hackers following their own set of values that they believe are, arguably positive motives.
Hacking is strongly unjustified by individuals due to it being illegal activity. Laws relating to computer hacking vary depending on every region. However, there is a predominance of hacking being illegal in a majority of countries. Broadly speaking, it is illegal to hack into computer systems and networks since it involves accessing information with authorisation. This is a form of invasion of privacy and data breach, automatically making the activity unlawful. From ‘Computer Crime: American Hacking, federal police’, it is stated that computer intrusion, unauthorised modification and destruction of data comes with penalties under the state law. These range from class B misdemeanour (a fine) to class B felony (five years in prison). This validates that in most cases, due to the trespassing of computers and networks and data rupture, hacking is strongly considered as unvirtuous due to it being illegal
Hackers are insidious beings who can wreak havoc on unsuspecting computer users and under protected systems. Predominantly, hackers attempt to corrupt systems in an effort to gain access to information that can be used for financial gain. However, hackers may also attempt to steal political information on political issues in order to gain information or knowledge that will benefit one political party over another. The daunting task of realizing what is considered a threat is the responsibility of information technologies (IT) executives (Rosenthal, 2002). Regardless that personal reason to hack a system, it is illegal and dishonest; therefore, stiff penalties and fines are handed out to those caught intruding another system without permission.
I will try to get proof for every ban I get, rather it be the person hacking or insiding.
I want to point out two terms that I will use throughout the paper, hacker and cracker. A hacker is a person who has extensive computer knowledge and enjoys tackling technical issues. The goal of hackers is not to cause damage to the computer system or network while infiltrating it. They are there to try and learn and improve upon the program. A hacker believes that information should be free, so they commonly share how they went about doing the infiltrating. A cracker is a person who uses his knowledge for personal gain against the law. EX: stealing account numbers, distributing viruses etc. It is safe to safe to say that all crackers are hackers, but not all hackers are crackers. This is an important distinction. Most people don’t realize the difference, largely impart by unawareness and the media. According to Tellis (2000) “The basic difference between hackers and crackers is: Hackers build things, crackers break things”.
