An example of a highly important protocol which will be utilized at application level, is HTTP or hypertext transfer protocol. HTTP is the protocol used within web browsers and the entire internet to send and receive specific web page data. HTTP is a controlling protocol, as it determines how documents should be sent, and what the browser should do in response to commands. When accessing a web page, a HTTP command is sent to the pages web server, so that the server may send that specific page’s data to the user. PCO’s Learning Centre will be using the hypertext transfer protocol on a regular basis. Ethernet is often built into hardware devices such as network interface controllers, to allow the sending and receiving of data packets to that piece of hardware. Ethernet can be used to create a wired local area network, which can subsequently communicate with other LAN’s, ad infinium, which in turn creates the internet. Ethernet uses a system called CSMA/CD or Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection. This system is able to deal with collisions which happen when two messages are sent at the same time. When two nodes on a network attempt to exchange data at the same time, they collide and create an error. When this happens, all nodes involved are notified. The Ethernet protocol will then set a random time interval, after which the node will re-attempt the transmission. This will be done until the message is successfully sent. Just as the hypertext transfer protocol and transmission control protocols will be used every single time a student at PCO’s learning centre accesses internet, so too is the ethernet protocol. This, however, will be done in a slightly different way. As the students will be using Wi-Fi to connect to the modem, ethernet will not be used. In saying this, ethernet will be used to connect to the NAS and the printer. For example, if two students want to print something, and they do so at the exact same time, the messages will collide. As the printer is connected through ethernet, the printer, and two computers will be notified of the collision. The ethernet protocol will then set a random time interval, and the printing request will be sent again at different times for each computer. From 2011 and onward, my family had fallen into bankruptcy for paying out of pocket for my older brother’s medical expenses and surgery costs due to his diagnosis of heart failure. In 2013, when I took the standardized ACT exam two times, I scored both times an 18 which was below my university’s 2014 entering freshmen class’s composite score average of 24.5 (copy of score report is attached). Furthermore, upon taking the LSAT two times with over four months of self-studying for the September exam, I scored first a 141, and a 140 on my last attempt. In the beginning of the course, we discussed “NGD”. The two areas of “NGD” that we focused on were number and geometry. Number is discrete, finite, time, or sound. Geometry is continuous, infinite, space, or vision. Bronowski mentioned how “it’s said that science will dehumanize people and turn them into numbers” (374). This tragically became true during the Holocaust where people were no longer considered human beings, but rather numbers. We discussed various mathematical topics concerning numbers like the well-ordering pair. In the well-ordering pair, ever subset has a least member. There are also figurative numbers, squared numbers, and even Pythagorean triples.

TCP/IP is a network model which enables the communication across the Internet. The most fundamental protocol on which the Internet is built. This is made up of the 2 common networking protocols, TCP, for Transmission Control Protocol, and IP, for Internet Protocol. TCP maintains and handles packet flow linking the systems and IP protocol has the ability to handle the routing of packets. However The TCP/IP stack consists of 5 layers first being application layer, the transport layer, then the network layer, the link layer and finally the physical layer. The assignment focuses on the three middle layers and is divided into five parts. Firstly explaining how the TCP and UDP the most vital protocols needed to deliver and communicate.
One of the most widely used technologies is the Internet, or also known as the World Wide Web. “In August 1981 about 200 computers hosted Web servers. By July 1998 there were over 36 million Web servers, that are hosts to approximately 150 million people” (Strauss). The Internet proves to be very beneficial to education, since students have unlimited access to millions of websites with tons of information. There are only so many newspapers, journals and magazines that you can find in libraries or subscribe to. Therefore, the Internet offers an unlimited pile of information that students can always have. Moreover, students are enriched with the most current information in any subject, along with regular updates. Students are able to use the Internet anytime of day, as long as they have a computer at hand. The research process will not have to end when the school day is over (Wissick, 82).

New software is being developed everyday which uses Internet as the carrier for long distance voice calls and video conferencing which would hold the key to the future of our society.

To address such a challenge the instructor needs to make sure that all communication is on a secured hypertext transport protocol site. This authentication is provided by the institution that the educator is affiliated with and it ensures that communication between the student and the instructor is on a secured network regardless of the browsers and servers used.

The connection conveniently includes unlimited access to over a million web sites twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. There are many reasons why the Internet is important these reasons include: The net adapts to damage and error, data travels at 2/3 the speed of light on copper and fiber, the internet provides the same functionality to everyone, the net is the fastest growing technology ever, the net promotes freedom of speech, the net is digital, and can correct errors. Connecting to the Internet cost the taxpayer little or nothing, since each node was independent, and had to handle its own financing and its own technical requirements.
