The first factor was that a family of four on the Oregon Trail would need over one thousand pounds of food to survive trail. The pioneers had to bring just the right amount of food along on the trail the pioneers did not bring heavy things that they had in their houses in the east. The pioneers did not have any furniture in the wagons because it was too heavy to bring. The pioneers did not have a constant supply of hay with them. They pretty much had to be very organized and well thought out each day of the trip.
“Just show me the tackle and give me some bait. Then watch me go fishing, the rest can wait.” Fishing is one of my favorite things to do. It is catching a fish for either food or simply for fun. You can do it by yourself to enjoy the peace and quiet or fish with others to pass the time. Many people think fishing is an old man's sport but I think of it differently. It has helped to form my values, most importantly patience.
This made their clothing unique to other tribes. They used bring colour that were dipped in different liquids and even sometimes blood from animals that were usually killed for a specific need. Wood and bark was super important to help build houses but also have enough to make a fire when the weather started to get colder. The men would use stones and wood to make bows and arrows and different weapons. The women would make the clothing and blankets for the winter time made of elk or deer skin. The Dakota Sioux were very big hunters. The men hunted deer, elk, bear, wild turkey and the most popular buffalo. They didn 't fish a lot because of the fact that it was against their religion to kill fish for food because of the fact that they saw it as an offering that a young child will give up to the gods to become a man. The women would mainly gather berries and roots for heavier alternatives to the meat. They also had their children help out because of the fact that they didn 't want the children to hunt at a young age. The roots were also used for medicine along with foot. Since the Dakota were nomadic, they would move and migrate where ever the buffalo went and when food was scare they would have their meat dried and take around with them so they were never hungry. Since they were nomadic their housing needed to be easy to
Two friends go out for lunch to their usual favorite sushi restaurant. They are seated and given their menus, they knew they were going to get their usual but noticed the prices have increased. Prices have gone up, and some replaced with imitation fish meat, since the last time they ate there. What might have caused this? Due the demand of fish, the price for them also increases. It’s a simple supply and demand logic, but not only is it due to the demand for these fish, it can also be due to their rareness. Over-fishing can cause what is rare and which fish species isn’t. Commercial fishing may cause fish species to go extinct, or bring in new types of fish to take the place of the other fish. In tuna we
I started getting everything together on the day before season opened. I had my pack loaded with knifes, calls, a bone saw, water, food, and anything else I thought I might need. My bow was tuned and every broad head in my quiver was razor sharp. My pickup was full of gas and loaded with chains, an axe, a shovel, and rope. I was ready for the big day.

The usual daily meal was bacon, beans, coffee, and biscuits or bread. One wagon could carry up to 6 months of food for 4 people. The travelers also hunted antelope, buffalo, hens, trout, elk, bear, duck, geese, salmon, and deer. They traded with Indians at Snake River and Columbia River for salmon and with Indians in Oregon for potatoes. Utensils such as butcher knives, large spoons, spatulas, ladles, Dutch ovens, pots/pans, grills, and spits were used on the trail.

According to anthropologist they have various words for grains, and wheat alone has 9 different words to describe it. With that evidence, it’s possible to conclude that the tribe had a bountiful of fields with different crops. The tribe can sustain itself with all the crops they farmed. They had animals as well since anthropologist figured out that the lost tribe had words for “Cow”, “Pig”, and “Sheep”. The tribe did lack the words for “Pork”, “Beef” and “Veil”, so we can assume that the tribe did not consume them so they only used them purely for farming or for clothing. Since they didn’t raise animal for food and grow several types of crops their life style is associated with animals. Using crops to feed the tribe and animals also using sheep to maintain the warms in
I used to love fish. Ever since I was a toddler I loved everything fish themed! ‘Rainbow Fish’, by Marcus Pfister, was one of my favorite children’s books and I even had a lot of Rainbow fish themed stuffed animals and toys. “Mom, can you read me Rainbow Fish again?” I said while I layed on my stomach with my face down on the pillow. “Ok Sweetie.”, My mom said with a smile on her face, probably for the 5th time that night. One of my favorite movies as a child was Finding Nemo. I had to have sat down on the couch at least once a week to watch Finding Nemo, and take in the beauty of the ocean and all the cute little animated fishies. I had an ocean themed bathroom. I was too careless as a child to really care about the decor, as I picked my tooth
Many people see hunting and fishing as the slaughtering of innocent animals for no reason other than sport and fun. However, the truth is, hunting and fishing are beneficial to people, environments, and the economy. Hunting and fishing are beneficial to the economy because they cause a major economic impact. Hunting and fishing are beneficial to environments and people because they reduce damages done by wildlife overcrowding. Hunting and fishing are also beneficial to people because they provide a healthy, affordable source of food.
Life is unexpected, full of twists and turns. It can take you anywhere, as long as you are patient, and are willing to make the journey. There will be roadblocks along the way, some will be simple, and others, not so much. However, every problem can be solved, one way or another. Take this situation, for example. Imagine a crewman decided to go on a fishing trip to relax. They are miles away from the nearest body of land, and then they get injured. You are at the coast guard station, when an alarm goes off, notifying everyone of this crewman’s injury. You have a helicopter and offer to rescue the crewman. However, you only have enough fuel to carry you a certain amount of miles. You need to wisely plan what time you are going to start because you don’t want to run out of gas. If I was in this situation, I would closely look at
