In general, the overall art of writing is more difficult and complex than it is in any term easy. The skills needed to develop a good writing piece is shaped by many aspects that frequently take a while to adapt to. Over the course of middle school, I have written many various essays and papers on diverse subjects. As a writer, I have improved over time due to my excelled learning in different classes. In my writing, it is evident that I have many strengths along with areas that need growth. My strengths include presenting organized and logical progression, strong word selection, and being able to comprehend the prompt and respond to it straightforwardly. This narrative was about my experience on a catamaran boat going through stormy waters. Personally, I felt that I did a decent job of conveying my emotions through the text. Also, I felt that I was strong in my choice of words. On the other hand, there were some various areas that I wish I had done better. For example, the introduction was a little slow and not exciting. This is an issue because when reading texts you want to draw the reader's attention right away. In addition, looking back that this personal narrative I wish that I would have spent more time proofreading over my work. There were some areas that I could’ve fixed by altering my spelling and punctuation. Overall, I found writing this piece to be enjoyable due to how it was a personal experience that I had full knowledge about. However, it most certainly wasn’t my favorite writing
