Have you ever been driving and have someone pull out in front of you or drive slow? If so this would be relevant to you just like it is to me, simply because my pet peeve is other people's terrible driving skills. It drives me insane when I’ll be driving and have a car pull out when there is no other car behind me for miles, and then they drive slow. When someone does that horrible deed, that makes me hate them, I just wish I could tell them off!
Although, I am a young driver only having a few years of experience on the road. I believe you would feel the pain I do when another’s driving hinders me from driving how I’d like. I would like to know what would posses one to not think logical and think, “Oh i'll just wait for this
Thesis Statement: Road rage statistics compiled from the NHTSA and the Auto Vantage auto club, show that aggressive driving and road rage are causing serious problems.
Driving. While I haven’t had the greatest experiences with driving related problems; I’ve run into some pretty funny ones. When I was about four years old my family was over at my grandpa’s putting in a well for him. I of course was sitting in the unattended van on the top of the hill in the back seat. While many people would think that it was completely safe and there’s nothing to worry about they are wrong. You see I was a clever little toddler and could at that time unbuckle herself and climb over the center console right into the front seat. Also being the genius child that I was I managed to switch the car from park to neutral and begin to roll down the hill. Now I don 't remember my mom and the other adults running towards the van to
mistakes. My mother always told me to obey the speed limit because one day I

The article also mentions that cognitive factors play a role because people think about how they would feel after doing a certain thing when given a choice to do it or not to do it. In the second assumption, the article mentions that social bonding plays a key factor. Naturally when trying to create a social bond with other people, humans tend not to fully pay attention to some of the things being said and some of the actions being done in their surroundings while in a positive stimuli or environment. When driving a car, the less distractions you have the safer you are. You are supposed to give the road your full attention when driving and on nothing else. The third and final assumption suggests that impulse control is heightened in adults and adolescents have difficulties assessing a situation before deciding. This means that adolescents use less brain power and assessment when planning or deciding (impulsive behaviour). When an adult is driving, they are more aware of the speed limit and the consequences of going well over the speed limit. When an adolescent is in the car driving with their peers not only will they not fully pay attention to the rules of the road but they will also feel a pressure to go faster because of their environment with their friends as well as the stimuli that is created by the
One’s views to the solution of a problem is played by the role of perception. My perception to almost every problem is for me to solve the problem the safest. I view the problem as something that is going to take time not matter what, and if I am going to take time to address the problem, I might as well take the time to solve it safely. When I am driving and I am in a long left turn line, I simply choose to wait until it is my turn in order to be safe and keep everyone who is in the car with me safe, as well. My brothers perception on most situations is speed. When in the long left turn line, he suggests to get back into traffic, and turn around on a side street in order to turn right. He views this as a quicker solution to the problem. When my brother is in a hurry, safety is no longer a priority to him.

We all wish to exist in a world where one no longer needs to worry about car accidents, intoxicated drivers, and the many reckless people out there operating motor vehicles unsafely. Right? Well, if we think about it, our lives depend on random people's abilities to operate their vehicle safely without making a mistake. Due to being human, we all make mistakes, some bigger than others, but nonetheless we make mistakes. Therefore, it only takes a single error in someone's driving to end another person's life.

I plan on presenting a speech on the social issue of drinking and driving and how it can affect a community. I went to a high school where drinking and driving was taken very seriously due a tragedy caused by drinking and driving that killed three students. This incident occurred just before i had gone to high school however I was familiar with the victims. The driver was a graduate of the high school i attended who was driving two other alumni and a highschool senior. The senior girl happened to be one of my sister’s best friend and one of the passengers was my next door neighbor. My neighbor survived however my sister’s best friend did not. will use the personal connection to the tragedy to promote awareness of the issue that plagues our
You may be too focused on thinking about the happy event you have/or will be facing to react quickly to troubles on the road. The Driving Association of Canada (DAC) did tests to prove that when your mind is too focused on a positive event it will react to situations on the road slower causing many accidents. 4 People need to check how their feeling before they go on the road because high amounts of temper or sadness can result in road rage or careless/reckless driving. The Safe Motorist program proved that 66% of driving fatalities are caused by road rage. Mostly by people under the 19 or elderly drivers.

“The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers” -Dave Barry, comedian. The number of accidents over the last ten years have drastically increased, drivers are paying less attention to the road itself. Many individuals behind the wheel of a car believe that their driving does not affect the road conditions, however it always will. The driving habits of today are catastrophic due to the reasoning that the driving will affect other lives through reckless or distracted driving, and disobeying traffic laws.
