My life from fourth to seventh grade so far has been great! I started going to public school, playing sports, and making lots of new friends. It all started at the beginning of fourth grade…
The night before my first day of school in fourth grade was literally my first night before school. I had been homeschooled my entire life and was excited to be able to finally see what school was like. My teacher was Mrs. Holmes, she was one of the nicest teachers I have ever had. This was also the year that I started playing sports. I took Softball, Basketball, and Dance. My best friends came to be Brinlee, Baylee, Oaklee, Megan, Myka, and Lindsey. These were my best friends all through elementary.
In fifth grade the next year, I got Mrs. Holmes again along with Mrs. Smith as my teachers. Mrs. Holmes and her husband had just adopted the baby they had been waiting for; because of this, we had a really grumpy and rude sub every other week for the first half of the year that would punish us left and right for nothing. It was catastrophic! I don’t remember her name, but her name is really not wo...
In fifth grade, I had a teacher by the name of Mrs. Sera. Even typing her name gives me this cold feeling inside; she eerily resembles Miss Viola Swamp from the children’s book Miss Nelson is Missing. Viola Swamp was “the meanest substitute teacher in the whole world.” Mrs. Sera, on the other hand, my full-time educator and seemingly just as mean. She had a long pointy chin, a fairly large nose, and extremely thin lips that rarely ever smiled just like Miss Swamp. During this year leading up to middle school, I struggled in every subject: math, science, social studies, and language arts. The only parts of the day I succeeded in were recess and lunch. I remember one day, I had a test in science. I received a 23%. This is still the lowest grade
I had a good year in first grade. I became the best artist in the class. I started getting better at English. My first word was “bathroom.” I made two friends Michelle Sherman and Karen Calle. After that I started feeling better and actually liking this school. Everything felt better and worked out great!
6th grade, and I was saying hello, and now 8th grade has come and it’s gone from introductions to goodbyes as my last days as a middle school student wind down. 8th grade, 8th grade from the opening day to the signing of the yearbooks. This is the year of memories, goodbyes, and regrets. 8th grade and I’m still realizing that there are people in the world that would die to go to a school like this.
6th grade, 6th grade was a very insisting year mainly because I was new to this whole middle school thing. In 6th grade I met a really good friend of mine that I would continue to be friends with though middle school, his name was jj. Me and jj meet in 6th grade, we had the same homeroom. JJ and I would continue to carry each other to the end of 6th grade. Also in 6th I had the best homeroom teacher, Let's just call her Mrs.steelers. Mrs.steelers and I had a great bond, we both loved the steelers. Mrs.steelers would continue to guide me to victory in the 6th grade.
After finishing fifth grade, the excitement of going to a new school in a different environment grew as the first day of class came closer. Little did I know, things were about to change from acceptance to spurn. I remember entering the campus and being amazed by how differently things were going about. My friends and I met up every morning from then on, and school in general went great, for a while.
Now Mrs. Trotter is my favorite but that’s beside the point... I loved school and I met all of my friends. This was truly the year that started my life. This was the year that I learned math, reading, science, social studies, and all of these subjects. School was something that I looked forward to and I loved learning all sorts of things and then when I got home, bragging to my parents about how smart I was. I had a habit of writing everything I heard or said on the air with my fingers… My teacher said it was a great habit to have , but my sister thought different. Overall, this was one of the best years of my life and I loved
High school is meant to be the time of your life, but for most seniors just like me it can be some of the most emotional and crazy time. The things in my past make me who I am today, and the things I do now are the first footsteps into the future. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these past four years, and I still have so much learning to do. This is my high school story; the good, bad, and the ugly.
That was my very very very favorite year because I had the best teachers ever. My homeroom was Mrs. Webers. She was the best of the best of the best. Next was Mrs. Pope, then after that was Mrs. Norcross. We all had jobs. I had two jobs, my first job filing papers, Mrs. Webers chose me to do that because I was quiet. Then my other job was name taker. I would go to the board and put people's names down if they were talking or if they weren’t doing what they were supposed to do. And that was fourth grade. Then something tragic happened, my favorite uncle passed away on December 25th. Everybody was heartbroken. It was extremely sad to see his son, my favorite cousin cry for one of the first times in his whole entire life. It was absolutely
I really liked 7th grade because I was really focused on school work and my grades were acceptable. I was honored to make the soccer team for the school and won the Championship for soccer. I did soccer because my mother inspired me to do it. My brother and his friends were discouraging me that I couldn’t make the soccer team. I was satisfied that we won the Championship round and was really happy with that year. I was stressed about the social studies project we did that year because it took me a few days to decide who I was going to do a research
My high school experience has been a very challenging and exciting 4 years. I have learned many things that will help me in life and I feel confident that I am ready for whatever obstacle I may face. High school has defined, shaped my character, and helped me to mature into the young woman that I am
Once i was 7 years i was in 2nd grade and i was a troublemaker and i was always disrespectful to all the teachers. So, then the teachers were talking to why do you talk too much and i was like i don’t now it is just in my blood. So, i tried my best not to get in trouble because i want to have a bad year.
The time I was in the third grade, was 2008. I lived in East of Portland at a foster home where my Mom and Aunt take care of elder people. I always play around outside riding bikes, playing in the backyard with sticks, and playing video games on my PS2 or on the computer. School was very easy for me because I had been assigned easy homework by my special ED teacher. I didn’t worry much about school until my teacher had an accident at school that she was hosipled for the whole school year. That is when I start to struggle on the third grade. No more easy homework. When school comes around I started to do poorly in class. My mom would get really upset about my poor grades. She would end up taking away my PS2 and not allow me to use the computer.
It was one day in the fourth grade I started my day off with the normal events, waking up, getting ready, the ride to school, then sit and class and learn for seven hours. But this day was unfortunately cut short.
Sixth grade was… well, very interesting. I didn’t know what to expect coming into the year. I had heard some rumors about Mrs. Smith and I was a little nervous. I knew that I had Nick Smith in most of my classes and he had been my friend since we were four years old so I wasn’t really nervous.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
