For my ideal bookshelf I chose only a few of the wide variety of books I have read over the years. Some books and series that really had an impact on me was The Fault in Our Stars, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, and The Outsiders. These books all have dilemmas that they surmount, which makes the books even more interesting than they already are. Every book I have read has importance in my life, some greater than others. They all have great life lessons to use as I grow older. I love to read and fortify my reading skills. Also to become more versatile.

I really loved this book. The book is about a kid, name Ponyboy, who is a “Greaser” and they are constantly battling with the “Socs”. They often dissent because they are very opinionated and this leads to deadlocks between the two. My two favorite quotes from The Outsiders are, “Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold,” and ,”Things are rough all over.” The second quote really applies to the story because where they are is really tough. Uglies is a book I read a few years ago. I did enjoy this book and the story was good. It’s about a girl who is about to turn 16, which is when the “pretty” operation happens. Basically they rejuvenate you, make you pretty, and make you similar to everyone else. Right before her operation she meets a girl who shares her birthday and they become friends. I can’t say I’ve read the whole book, but I’ve read a lot of the chapters and verse in it. The Holy Bible is a book you can go to during rough times. The thing about this book is that it never ever gets old and tiring. Some could say it is a little cumbersome to read at times or that some of the lessons to be learned from The Holy Bible are latent at times. I will continue to read The Holy Bible throughout my whole life.

I love to read and I can read most anything. I don’t ever really get bored and I’m pretty pliant when it comes to reading. Mainly everyone has a favorite book, but I really don’t. There are just too many to chose from and it is hard to say that I like a certain book over another book. I think everyone should read even just for fun and I highly recommend reading to those who
