Recommended: How to win friends and influence people research paper

I chose “How to Win Friends and Influence People” – By Dale Carnegie. I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. I liked how Dale Carnegie talked about how to talk to other people in society but, he used his personal stories. Also, I liked how he separated the book into principles and not chapters it felt like it went faster. The principles are very helpful and very logical, this book made me look at society different and it made me realize how important little things are. In principle number 2 (Fulfill Others’ Desires to Feel Important) Dale Carnegie talks about how important it is to tell people that they are wanted, even spouses and children. How it is another necessity to life and how humans need it to function. I also liked how he talks about the value of a smile and how it can impact people in greater ways than you could ever imagine. Dale also talks about how when talking to people I you show more interest in them then you show of yourself then they will like you more. I like this because I would never have thought that, I like how he sees things from other perspectives and pulls them all together to make one large thought. I also liked how he put his own thoughts into it with personal comments they make you feel like you are actually talking to him and not just sitting there reading. I overall just really liked the book and thought it to be very helpful for my future and just talking to people on a regular basis.
I didn’t really dislike much about this book other than the quotes from people like teddy Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln didn’t seem real, that some things were repeated and how he made the conservatives look bad. ...hat you have a friendly approach towards them. Which I think can diffuse many more situations in the work place. I also think that when you are in the work place and you have to make a decision that effects a large number of people you should try to make the majority happy and give them a portion of what they want. Also remembering people’s names that you meet because you never know if you’ll need them as a reference or even as a connection to get a job. I feel like this is the most important part of business.
Like I’ve said before I really enjoyed reading this book and normally I don’t prefer book that are assigned. I enjoyed how Mr. Carnegie was very honest about life and how he approached different situations in life. I also l liked how he used his mistakes as a life lesson. I would defiantly recommend this book to other people and I would defiantly reread it.

    Rauchway created more of a story with factual information making it more engaging to the reader. I felt the arguments that Rauchway provided were fairly accurate creating a balance of both sides of the story. With being engaged in the novel, it helped me understand a time in history that I never understood before. I was able to understand more of Roosevelt’s direction of his presidency as he helped America become hopeful of the future. After the assassination many citizens were devastated, but it came to their realization that it was a wakeup call for the political system. Rauchway makes it clear in the novel of how Roosevelt faced one of America’s toughest times, but through that time helped American grow stronger as a nation. What I like about Rauchway writings is that he organizes the storyline and it is detailed in every chapter explaining the smallest parts of the story. For example, he mentions the time of the hour, the emotions of the characters, Czolgosz life history, etc. He does not miss any facts, which is very helpful to know background information when just learning about a

I found it very interesting the difference in the way politics was carried out compared to how it is today. One specific example that really opened my eyes to the stark differences was when he threw a man over a fence after that man started heckling the man who was speaking. After reading that I was shocked because if that happened today Lincoln’s political career would likely be over and there would probably be charges pressed against him.
