My brakes have failed me.When I was a kid, growing up Cartagena, Colombia I always loved riding my scooter down slopes. My favorite was the steepest one right outside my house. It made me go really fast. I had gotten my scooter as a gift from my cousin for my birthday. My scooter had teenage mutant ninja turtles pictures on the bottom where the sandpaper is so, I wouldn’t slip.Another thing is that my scooter was really low on the ground so it would drag when I went over speed bumps, so many of the times I used my sisters scooter which was red except the wheels were rubber and it could also be folded. I had one thing to do when I was bored, I used my scooter. This happened because either my friends were grounded because they did something stupid or they were somewhere else. So every time they did that I rode my scooter and every time I rode the scooter down the hill I wanted to do some cool tricks with my scooter.
The bad thing with my scooter was that it scraped the speed bumps, so I had to use my sisters scooter every time. From that day forth I used my sisters scooter cause that was the smoothest ride that I had experienced, it was like I was riding on air.My scooter was always rough and it was way to low to the ground. My sisters scooter on the other hand was more elevated and didn’t scrape and it wasn’t rough it was
The machined rides caters to the crazy excitement turning, spinning and dipping to get you turned on without getting you turned over!
Scooters kids will not wait and roll whenever they want. I’ve had times where kids decide to roll as they see I’m going and it causes an accident or me jumping out of the way. This is just another example of kids causing accidents by being focused on themselves. This just proves they are very dangerous to be at the skatepark.
Have you ever rode a dirtbike? I have my dad got it for me on my 9th b-day. After receiving this dirt bike, I now ride it all over the place. It has become apart of my life!
Most of the time it is just around my grandpa’s pasture and woods or in the back of my neighbor’s property. We are lucky enough to have trails so close to us, but we also like going to Black River Falls, Wisconsin to ride on the trails up there. Receiving my first four wheeler when I was five was a big deal to me. I thought I was the coolest person in the world riding around the yard in my plastic, battery powered four wheeler that ran out of juice every 30 minutes. Once I grew out of it and became responsible
I love riding four wheelers. I also love to adventure so I guess you could say my character trait is being adventurous. I’ve been riding my whole life, you think I’m kidding but my mom even rode four wheelers when she was pregnant with me so yeah. I got my very first four wheeler when I was three and I rode it till I was nine, but then I wanted to ride with the big boys or girls or whatever. When I was ten I got Yamaha blaster two hundred. It was my first manual transmission four wheeler. It was also a fixer upper, so I restored it to original condition and learned valuable knowledge along the way. So now I know a lot about four wheelers. When I got done fixing it it was a lot better than before. So I figured I was ready to learn how ride a
As a viewer, the documentary’s intention to inform is more completely fulfilled by research conducted beyond the scope of the camera lens. Had I never written this paper, for instance, the reason for all the violence embedded within the subject matter would remain as enigmatic as the documentary itself.
Guatemala is a beautiful land in Central America is bordering the Northern Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, Honduras, and Belize. In this paper I will focus on Guatemala’s geography, anthropological history, cultural behavior, spiritual needs, and current evangelical activity. The primary objective of this paper is to identifiy the spiritual needs and how to pray for this nation and its peoples.
My parents still tell me stories when my brother and I would fall asleep riding with them. When I was five I got a Mini Z 120 that was the best thing a five-year-old could get and let me tell you I rode the daylights out of that. I only hit two trees and one pickup and the house two times, dad was never happy about that, but then again I was only five. Then when I got older I would ride with my dad on the back and tucker would ride his own and then now and then I would drive with my dad with me. Then one day I was riding on my own. I was 13 and we got to Ventura and we had to get gas so we pull into the gas station there was a DNR sitting there. I didn’t have my
On July 18, a group of 26 students, including myself, embarked on a service trip down to San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. San Juan de la Maguana is an impoverished town on the western side of the Dominican Republic, right in the middle of the island of Hispaniola. While there, we organized a camp for the local children in the town through the local parish, Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza. While there I came to two realizations. One being the language barrier separating the groups of Americans and Dominicans couldn’t keep away the genuine human connection between us. The other was questioning whether these kids needed our help as much as some other people needed it.
Many people wonder what South America is like, well here is a small glimpse of what one of the states in South America is like. Colombia is known for its beautiful emeralds and tall ancient buildings. For its tall mountains and colorful colors, it's also known for its wonderful coffee. Colombia's modern life today is very much like USA modern life if you live in the cities, “but if you live in the mountain regions many people will work on the coffee plantations. Along the coasts of Colombia people work in the fishing villages and harbors (Yomtov 117).”
Convenient to use and store Without wheels or handlebars, you don't need to do much when using a hoverboard. Just find your balance and steer yourself to whichever direction you want. You don't need to do a kick start either, like you would with a skateboard. You can skip the parking area as well. Suffice to say that it is much more convenient to use than a car or
Mis barrios de El Paso y Ciudad Juárez I grew up in El Paso while going to visit family in Jáurez every weekend. Reflecting on both of the neighborhood I grew up in I now notice many differences between my grandmother’s neighborhood and the one my family lived in in America. The changes were really that of going from one country to another. My grandmother lived in a poor area, in El Paso we live in a middle class neighborhood.
The Caribbean region extends from Barbados in the East, Trinidad and Tobago in the South, to the Bahamas in the North and Cuba in the West (Edwards, 2013, Unit 10 ). A rich cultural heritage is one of the regions most prized possessions, dear to the heart of its people. Merriam-Webster(2013) defines culture as “the beliefs, customs, arts, etc., of a particular society, group, place, or time”
I'm glad that I started skateboarding it’s something that I plan to keep doing even if it’s not something I do all the time like I use to. It will stick with me forever all the memories, all the times i’ve made boring days fun with all my friends, and all the people
The inhabited islands clustered in the Caribbean Sea are an interesting study in cultural and social identity. Colonized by european powers from the Fifteenth Century, the Caribbean islands have become mixtures of cultures from Europe, Africa, and India, as well as from the original inhabitants of the islands. As a result, describing and defining the Caribbean is a much more difficult task than it appears on the surface. The norms and ideas of identity and history that exist on one island are vastly different than those that exist on a near neighbor, despite similarities in geography and history.
