My Grandma As I sit here thinking about who has had the greatest impact on my life, I begin to think of everyone who had been involved in my success throughout my life. I realize that I have been looking in the wrong part of my life and went back and forth on who to choose. Most people have passed in and out of my life, yet the person who has the most impact was one who affects me every day. My grandma, by far, has had the greatest impact on my life. Her heart and determination are something that I can only hope to have myself one day. I have watched her struggle with running a household while trying to raise me and my sister by herself and work full time. I could always look up in the stands any time I got awarded for good grades or anything else to see her cheering me on, while she held an armload of paperwork and tried to occupy my sister. My grandma has shown me that with determination and persistence I can accomplish anything. As the years passed, she could be found doing paperwork for a while, while sewing the sequins on my homecoming dress. As I am writing this paper I try to find ways to link myself back to my grandmas determination. While living with my grandma college was alwasy something she talked about. She has always supported me in all my choices. She has strived to make my sister and I strong people with independent minds of our own. I look to her in hopes that someday I will be as happy, as strong, and as well-spoken as her. She has taught me the most important thing in life never give up on your dreams. I thank her dearly every day for helping me become who I am today. I would have never have made it this far as I would have without her help. My grandma is strong she does everything on her own, she has noone she can rely on when she needs something. She is the strongest person I know and does not need anyone to help her when it comes to moving big items, or putting up with so many things at one time and still she keeps herself together. With this I have learned to do things on my own, I do not rely on others if I need something I just do it
