My First Roller Coaster

My favorite day would have to be when I went on vacation to Florida and rode my first roller coaster ever. I’ve always hesitated to get on one due to all the accidents and injuries it’s caused, but I finally overcame my fear and decided to try it. When me and my friend Taylor went to get our tickets we weren’t quite sure if we wanted to go or not, so her father bribed us into doing it. He said, “I will give you each 10 dollars to spend on whatever you want if you do it.” Taylor and I looked at each other with nervous but grim looks and said, “let’s do this.” We stood in line for 20 minutes, but the more we moved up the line the more nervous we got. We were behind these 2 other girls that were about our age, so we asked them if they’ve ever been on it. They said, “of course we have, it’s nerve wracking at first, but once you get on it and go for the first time you’ll want to go again.” Once Taylor and I got to the front we knew we couldn’t back out at the last minute, so we didn’t. …show more content…

We heard, “keep your arms, hands, and legs in the roller coaster at all times.” “Get ready, get set, go.” We took off and we heard the roller coaster chug and chug and chug all the way up to the top. Once we hit the top I looked over at Taylor to see if she was okay and still alive. As soon as she looked over at me the roller coaster jet down the track, and my heart and stomach sank. I could tell that Taylor was about to cry, but was trying to hold the tears back the whole time.
