My experience and background steered me in the direction of the field I am perusing academically. I gradually became interested in Industrial Distribution throughout my education career. When I was applying for college during my senior year of high school, I was having a difficult time deciding between the majors of Business and Engineering. Therefore, I applied to Computer Engineering and was put into Blinn TEAM. Since Blinn was more cost efficient, I declined that offer and applied directly to Blinn College. I completed all of my core classes at Blinn and applied to transfer into Texas A&M. I did some research and asked my fellow students about whether there is a major that combines both Business and Engineering, and I stumbled upon Industrial Distribution. I decided that was the best fit for me, so I applied to that major.
Supply chain innovations should ensure on-shelf availability at retail outlets, improving collaboration between vendors and retailers, translating supply chain costs to product pricing, lean inventory and real time replenishment. Wal-Mart should ensure that process differentiation to determine the right method of moving products with varying demand characteristics (Akehurst, C., & Alexander, N. (1995)
It has taken me a long time to come to this point but I am now sure of what I want to do, and what I need to do to achieve my goals. Had I not gone through the countless jobs and educational paths, I would have never come to the one that I finally know I will love and it will benefit me as a person, and benefit my family financially.
Lockheed Martin is a company that is on the leading edge of change management and has an innovative culture. The company takes concepts that are nearly impossible and turns them into a reality. Lockheed Martin’s Sharon Watts believes strongly in what she calls “the innovation shout-out.” “You don’t just innovate on Tuesdays,” Watts said. “Innovation just happens. You need to be in an environment where you can go run and tell somebody your idea ("Lockheed Martin: Innovating Culture | Trajectory Magazine," 2017)”. Watts is the new vice president of the Geovison line of business. She is aligning that department to meet the needs of the customers. The top priorities are to make decisions that will provide
Although I am still undecided, I am looking into either an Engineering/ISAT degree or a Business degree. In whatever field I end up deciding to pursue, I want to be able to use the skills and education obtained in high school, especially in my education with S.T.E.M. at SVGS, and to serve others. Even though my ideas about majors and careers still vary, I am confident in the fact that I will pick a field and major where I can best use my college degree to benefit others. Whether it is innovating and creating new products to assist people through an Engineering degree, or assisting people with their financial goals through a Business or Economics major, I want to always have a focus on putting others before myself and using my education and experience as a means to serve others.

Based on my research, one of the challenges faced by logistic company is capacity forecast. Capacity forecast is a general’s capacity theory that we should know it about warehousing. Warehousing it is very important in this industry where they play an important role to store the goods before its loading and unloading once it arrive at the destination point. The requirement for this phase is its transportation. As an example, the used of mode, carrier and protection class. Furthermore, capacity forecast has its own benefits in logistic. Which is, this solution ensure the logistic, manufacturing and supply chain to work together to the same plan (Byrne, 2011). The logistic industry had faced is, widespread their promotion and to work efficiently on land.

A major factor that has influenced my decision to pursue an education in engineering has been my experience in research, engineering challenges, and dual enrollment at North Carolina A&T University with a focus on the engineering pathway. Beginning with my freshman year enrolled at the STEM Early College at NC A&T, I have been on a track that has focused heavily on mathematics, science, and extracurricular opportunities with the goal that each student eventually continue their education in a STEM-based field. This exposure to the STEM and the engineering field has definitely contributed to me seeing engineering as a challenging, yet rewarding career option. One such opportunity was doing research with Dr. Manuel Reyes on NC A&T’s campus during my sophomore year. During my time with Dr. Reyes and his team of graduate students, I had
My educational journey has been like a roller coaster. I have been in the worst spot of my life time. Where I hate going to school but, also think about my father education. My career goal is one of my most important in my life to better myself than I am today tomorrow I will better than yesterdays.
Looking back after nine years, I could not feel more assured that at that time, I made the right choice. My unusual combination of experiences sets me worlds apart from not only a normal engineer but also from a marine engineer at similar position. Working for a big shipping company, exclusively on international assignments in high tech, capital intensive and rising LNG industry is the kind of job I had envisioned at the time of finishing my graduation. I could not have come here without that choice I made back then.
