Futures can be predictable but when they’re not, they're pretty interesting. Some people say they can look into the future to say how you will be, but most of the time, it is fake and non-realistic. If humans were able to choose their future, they would be very exciting and amazing. If I could predict my future, I would like to attend Ohio State for my college education, live on a coast of California, and marry and have 4 children of my own.
First, for my college education, I would like to attend the school, Ohio State University. I would love to go to a big school with lots of people. Also, the sports there are very impressive and entertaining. I know many people that have gone to this school and said how great of an experience it was. It is not extremely far away, about 5 hours and 30 minutes, so if my family stays in Hinsdale, I would be able to visit them from time to time. You have to have good grades and show them you are unique in order to get into this school. If I go there, I would love to be part of a sorority. It sounds so fun to live with a bunch of girls all of the time. My ideal room in college would be very well-decorated and neat. Although it would be pretty difficult, it would be really awesome if I was able to get a scholarship for either academics or a sport. I would have to work really hard to get into this school but if

On a coast of California, the weather would be amazing, warm, most of the time. It would be awesome if I could live on a beach and go swimming or tanning whenever I want. I could learn to do so many things having access to the ocean whenever I wanted. Some of these things include, scuba diving, snorkeling, snuba diving, water skiing, how to drive a boat, etc. Also, I could play and learn about some of the many sea creatures and other animals that live near the ocean. I would be so relaxing not having to worry about snow or other weather possibilities from colder
The school is huge and being a college prep school it is also selective in the students who get enrolled. The focus is on teaching and learning. The school seems predominately white with a few students of color.
Living life to the fullest in California is exciting and fun. Everyone can find their hobby and discover new ones every day. It allows all people from all backgrounds to explore the unimagined. Living in Florida may be fun for a while, but it is not the place for opportunity. California brings everything to the table. Living in California allows one to truly live life. After all, “adventure is out there.” –Russell ( The movie Up from Disney)
There are several reasons why I would like to attend the Woodbridge Academy. Academically, a spectacular learning environment makes a superb school. Some examples of a great learning environment are class sizes being smaller, there is amazing collaboration between the students and faculty, and the school counselors will always be determined and will lead the student in the right direction. Another reason, why I would like to join the academy is what the academy provides. The Woodbridge Academy is a school that provides Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences which is perfect because my future dream is to become a pediatrician and Woodbridge Academy can prepare me for career. Additionally, Woodbridge Academy has high standards for teaching which
The mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, promote unity and genuine friendships among college women, aid in issues concerning girls and women in order to come up with solutions to eliminate or ease the circumstances they may face, maintain an ongoing interest in college life, while also being of service to all mankind. This sorority has not only empowered women to help others, but it
I believe that I will be academically successful at Ohio State because I have taken the time to realize what my career goals are. When I graduated from high school in 1996, I really had no idea what career path I wanted to pursue. So I listened to a lot of wise people who pointed out the things that I was good at. I entered Ohio University as an Engineering major and later switched to Industrial Technology. After many years in college I found I was not successful at the things I had previously been successful at. I realized that what I was studying really did not interest me. I actually didn’t like it at all. That was the point that I decided I had wasted enough time and money and I walked away from college.
Being in a sorority changed my entire college experience. I now have a group of great lifetime friends continue with through college. I have grown in learned more about myself through the whole process. Being in a sorority has shaped me into the person I am
Even though I can be negative at times, I do have some situations where I think about my future. For example when I decided to leave to independent studies because I was always late, I was having problems at school and at home and it was very hard for me to focus on school. I thought if I left from regular school it could help me become more responsible and it could help me figure out what I wanted to major in. It was in independent studies that I found out that I really wanted to pursue a career in health. Another example where I thought about the future was when I took the CNA class; that is, I took the Certified Nursing Assistant course. At the end of my junior year I decided that I wanted to take the class because I could have better opportunities after high school and in my future career. The instructor Ms. Estrada had a meeting to see how many people were interested; in addition, she gave the class requirements. She said class was from 1:19 to 4:30, we had at least one test every week, and if you fail more than 3 tests you get dropped. At the end of the meeting she gave everyone a packet with medical terms that she wanted us to memorize. On the very first day she was going to test us; moreover, if we failed it we would get dropped. I was chosen to be in the class and it was the longest, most stressful year ever. I was ready to
I chose Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) from an HBCU, Howard University which is located in Washington D.C., Maryland. Howard University co-ed Ethel Hedgeman dreamed of creating a support group for women with like minds coming together for mutual uplift, and coalescing their talents and strengths for the benefit of others, On January 15, 1908; her vision crystallized as Alpha Kappa Alpha, the first Negro Greek-letter sorority. Alpha Kappa Alpha’s statement and/or mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to
There are many reasons the ocean is my favorite place to be. These range from the atmosphere and people at the ocean to the scenery experienced while there. It is a time for me to be free from all the hassles in my life and to "get away from it all," even if it is only for a week. The ocean should be enjoyed for what it is. Loud noise and all the hustle and bustle of boardwalks should not exploit it. At the ocean I can feel at home and at peace because it is my favorite place to be.
The future is something mysterious, and as L. M. Montgomery says in Anne of Green Gables “Isn’t it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it’s such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew everything about it, would it? There would be no scope for imagination then, would there?” As she alludes, we cannot know the future, but we can imagine what it may be by looking at the past.
futures. What may happen in the future is controlled by a power far higher than
... the future and as many have stated, including Joel Barker (2009), “the best way to predict the future is to create it yourself.”
When moving through the hallways, the teachers, aides and staff were all very friendly and helpful, making sure that I not only belonged to be there, but that I was able to find my way to the appropriate locations. Art lined the halls, and the sounds from the classrooms indicated that the children were exicited and engaged in their activies. I would feel most comfortable having children attend this school. It was a warm, safe and nurturing environment, where the individual was celebrated, and the community created.
Whether you consider the future to be one hundred years away or just a second the conception of the future is always the same. There are numerous views on the future but each one says the identical thing. I don?t know what the future holds but I know who holds the future.
This is a basic way we use cause and effect. From events that are happening now and events that have already happened we have predicted different scenarios. If the future/life has not already been determined then why are people so worried about the earth and global warming, or even wars. Since there have been wars in the past some people predict that there will be another one in the far future, about resources that are becoming less and less. Without our lives being predetermined then many things would not happen.
