Being born in Visakhapatnam, India and blessed to be raised by my a father with the 3D principle: discipline, dedication, dare to do which got entrenched in me quite early and had an impact in every phase of my life. My parent 's focus was always on education because they were not fortuitous enough to get a good college education. The answer to my parent`s question “What is your dream profession?” was a doctor and I never had an answer to the question “What else if not a doctor?”

Life in medical school was exhilarated. During the early years of medical school, it turned out to be an obsession to learn physiology and pathophysiology. In medical school, I achieved three silver medals in basic sciences and one bronze medal in pediatrics. When I was posted in Pediatric clinical rotation, I found it challenging since it is the clinical skills of the physician and discernment that plays a vital role in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Further, my interest turned into Neonatology, when I worked as a volunteer in a Cerebral Palsy Center and realized its prevalence in premature babies. I wanted to work towards decreasing the incidence since there is no cure. I cannot describe in words the agony I have seen in the eyes of a parent of a cerebral palsy patient and her helplessness. It was among my top priorities to establish rapport with patients, enlighten them about the basic facts of health and that everything in the human body is in a dynamic relationship. Medicine is a constant advancing field with a scope for clinical science and basic research. The United States being the place where best medical research takes place bringing the advancements into practice. This made me choose the United States as my future destination to pursue my post-graduation. For U.S
